Prince Harry is speaking out with a pointed message on American leadership.

During an unannounced visit to Ukraine, the Duke of Sussex, 41, delivered apowerful address at the Kyiv Security Forum on Thursday, April 23, emphasizing the United States’ role in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine— without naming Donald Trump directly.

“The United States has a singular role in this story,” Harry said, before adding, "Not only because of its power, but because when Ukraine gave up nuclear weapons, America was part of the assurance that Ukraine’s sovereignty and borders would be respected."

“This is a moment for American leadership," he continued. "A moment for America to show that it can honor its international treaty obligations, not out of charity, but out of its own enduring role in global security and strategic stability.”

Harry — who lives in Montecito, Calif., with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4 — delivered the remarks as part of a broaderspeech on the war in Ukraine, underscoring the global stakes of the conflict.

Harry also addressed Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“No nation benefits from the continued loss of life we are witnessing,” he told the Russian leader.

Harry went on to urge Putin that “there is still a moment, now, to stop this war. To prevent further suffering for Ukrainians and Russians alike, and to choose a different course.”

"Years into this war, with immense losses and limited gains, it is increasingly clear that this path offers no victory, only more loss,” the prince continued, referencing the war, which started in February 2022.

Harry had previously said in the speech, “I am not here as a politician.”

"I am here as a soldier who understands service, as a humanitarian who has seen the human cost of conflict,and as a friend of Ukraine who believes the world must not grow used to this war or numb to its consequences,” he continued.

Harry's remarksdrew likeness to ones previously made by his late mother, Princess Diana, who garnered global attention to the call for an international landmine banwhen she walked through an active minefield in Angola in 1997 with The HALO Trust.

There, she told the cameras that she was "not a political figure” but a “humanitarian" one,according to ITV News, which is accompanying Harry on his Ukraine visit.

Harry's trip to Ukraine comes just days before his father King Charles' state visit to the U.S.,which is set to take place from April 27 to 30.

PEOPLE understands thatHarry will not be meeting up with his father during his visit alongside Queen Camilla, with any suggestion that they might carve out time together proving unrealistic given the tightly choreographed nature of the trip.

"When you're talking about a state visit, every minute is accounted for —especially when it's the King traveling as the invited guest of a head of state," a source recently told PEOPLE.

The source added that Harry would not be expected to press for a meeting under those circumstances, =noting that there is an understanding on both sides. "Harry knows how things are and wouldn't ask for that either under these circumstances==," the insider said.

Charles' trip, which is to commemorate the 250th anniversary of American independence, is set to include a state banquet at the White House on April 28.

Hasan Piker Sparks Fury With NY Times Podcast Praise of Theft and Justifying Murder: ‘Immoral And Dangerous’

Progressive streamer Hasan Pikerkicked up yetanother wave of anger and condemnation this week when he told a New York Times podcast that stealing should be encouraged and defended support for the killing of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, arguing that Thompson had been involved in “social murder.”

At one point during the lengthy discussion, Opinion culture editor Nadja Spiegelman asked Pikerabout Thompson’s brazen murder.

“I think 41 percent of Gen Z-ers felt that murder was morally justified. But it’s scary to be in a society where people feel that murder is morally justified. And I’m curious how we thread that line?” she asked.

Piker replied, “Yeah. Friedrich Engels wrote about the concept of social murder. And Brian Thompson, as the United Healthcare C.E.O., was engaging in a tremendous amount of social murder.” He added:

The systematized forms of violence, the structural violence of poverty, the for-profit, paywalled system of health care in this country — and the consequences of that are tremendous amounts of pain, tremendous amounts of violence, tremendous amounts of deaths.And that was a fascinating story for me, because Americans are very draconian about crime and punishment. They’re very black and white on this issue.

And yet, because of the pervasive pain that the private health care system had created for the average American,I saw so many people immediately understand why this death had taken place.

The third person on the podcast, The New Yorker writer Jia Tolentino, later commented in reply to Piker, “It’s also worth saying there are not that many health care C.E.O.s; there are not that many industries that are as universally understood as merchants of social murder, of structural violence upon people. And it was as if the language appeared lit up within people who had never articulated it out loud.”

Tolentino did conclude by adding,“I don’t actually think, necessarily, that we have come to a place where targeted assassination is seen like it’s OK.”

Piker also sparked controversy last week by calling for Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) to be killed during a live stream:“If you cared about Medicare fraud or Medicaid fraud, you would kill Rick Scott.”

Another part of the conversation that caused a wave of angry reactions dealt with whatSpiegelman dubbed “microlooting,” followed by Piker and Tolentino praising theft:

Spiegelman: Would you steal from the Louvre?

Piker: Yes.

Tolentino: I would not be logistically capable of executing such a fact, but would I cheer on every news story of people that I see doing it? Absolutely.

Piker:I think it’s cool. We’ve got to get back to cool crimes like that:bank robberies, stealing priceless artifacts, things of that nature. I feel like that’s way cooler than the 7,000th new cryptocurrency scheme that people are engaging in.

Spiegelman:Would you steal from Whole Foods?

Tolentino:Yes. And I have, under very specific circumstances. I will say, I think that stealing from a big box store — I’ll just state my platform —it’s neither very significant as a moral wrong, nor is it significant in any way as protest or direct action. But I did steal from Whole Foods on several occasions.

Reactions of anger and condemnation quickly came in from across the political spectrum.

Reason editor Robby Soave shared the part of the conversation about theft and added, “People should be ashamed of themselves for engaging in this behavior, not bragging about it in the pages of The New York Times. Hasan Piker and Jia Tolentino are bad role models,to the extent that it seems almost beside the point to even spend any time on their loathsome politics.”

Russia has been invited to take part in the G20 summitat the leaders level, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin told the state news agency RIA Novosti earlier today.The summit is scheduled to take place in December 2026 in Miami.(that’s even better in Miami he can possibly be at Mar A Lago! “There is an invitation to attend at the highest level, but we will see closer to the date. God knows what will happen before then,” Pankin said.

Earlier, Russia’s G20 sherpa, Svetlana Lukash,told RIA Novosti that the United States was preparing for the possible arrival of Vladimir Putin at the event. Kremlin spokesman DmitryPeskov also previously said Russia was interested in continuing its work with the G20.

In 2023, the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued an arrest warrant for Putin. He is suspected of the unlawful deportation of children from occupied territories of Ukraine to Russia, an act that is classified as a war crime. The warrant has complicated Putin’s travel abroad: he could be arrested on the territory of countries that are parties to the Rome Statute, the treaty that established the ICC. However, the United States is not a party to the ICC, and in 2025, Putin attended a summit in Alaska, where he met with U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss a settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.

The G20 is an international forum for economic cooperation.It includes 19 countries — Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Britain, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, and the United States— as well as the European Union and the African Union. First Lady Melania Trump has revealed that she has been indirect communication with Russian President Vladimir Putin for months, engaging in a behind-the-scenes diplomaticinitiative to reunite Ukrainian children displaced by the conflict with their families.

Since the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in 2022,Moscow has evacuated children from the combat zone and relocated them to safety until they can be reunited with their families. Kiev, however, has accused Russia of “kidnapping.”

Speaking on Friday,the first lady said the outreach began after she sent a letter to Putin last August.

“He responded in writing, signaling a willingness to engage with me directly,” she stated.

Since then,the two have maintained an “open channel of communication regarding the welfare of these children.”

According to the first lady, both sideshave taken part in several back-channel meetings and calls over the past three months, “all in good faith.” The talks have led to thereunification of eight Ukrainian childrenwith their families within the past 24 hours, she said.

“Each child has lived in turmoil” due to the conflict, she said. Three were separated from their parents due to frontline fighting and taken to Russia, while five others were separated from their relatives across borders.

Among them was “one young girl who has now been reunited from Ukraine to Russia.”

Trump saidher representative has worked directly with Putin’s team to facilitate the reunifications and that Russia provided documentation, including biographies, photographs, and reports on the children’s care.

“The US government confirmed the facts contained within this document are accurate,” she added.

Her mission, she said, is “to optimize a transparent free flow exchange of health-related information” and “facilitate the regular communication of children with their families until each individual returns home.”

“This remains an ongoing effort,” she concluded. “Plans are already underway to reunify more children in the immediate future.I hope peace will come soon. It can begin with our children.”

Russia’s children’s rights commissioner, Maria Lvova-Belova, thanked Melania Trump for her humanitarian efforts.

“I want to say words of gratitude to the First Lady of the United States for her attention and care towards families of children affected by the military conflict,” Lvova-Belova said in a video message on Friday.

France and Poland are preparing joint military exercises simulating conventional and nuclear strikes on Russia and Belarus, according to Polish media. Moscow has claimed that NATO will practice the blockade and seizure of Russia’s Kaliningrad Region at the same time.

The Wirtualna Polska (WP) news outlet reported on Thursday, citing sources within the military,that the nuclear drills are set to take place “soon” over the Baltic Sea and northern Poland, and are meant to develop a “Polish-French military arm… outside of NATO bureaucracy” to deter supposed Russian aggression.

Moscow has consistently dismissed the claims as nonsense, stressing it has no intention of attacking any foreign states and accusing NATO of openly preparing for a military confrontation.

Under the scenarios, reportedly discussed during French President Emmanuel Macron’s meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk earlier this week,Polish F‑16 jets will conduct long‑range reconnaissance and target identification, and will strike “high‑value targets in the vicinity of St. Petersburg” using conventional JASSM‑ER cruise missiles.

French Rafale B fighters,armed with ASMP missiles carrying nuclear warheads, will also fly from France to the Budapest‑Kaliningrad line andsimulate nuclear strikes on targets in Russia and Belarus.

The planned exercisesare described as part of Macron’s push to extend the country’s “nuclear umbrella” over other European statesand expand France’s nuclear potential. Russia has consistently condemned NATO for escalating tensions on the European continent, particularly through its increasing nuclear rhetoric.

Responding to the reported French-Polish nuclear drills, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskovstated that they “show Europe’s aspiration for further militarization and nuclearization” andwarned that such steps “do not contribute to stability and predictability on the European continent.”

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko also said on Thursday that NATO’sUK-ledJoint Expedition Forces (JEF) has been practicing scenarios of anaval blockade and seizure of Russia’s Kaliningrad Region and is “deliberately pursuing a path of increasing confrontation.”

Meanwhile, the Finnish parliament took up a bill to allow the import and storage of nuclear weapons on the country’s territory.The move would overturn legal barriers that had banned such devices in the country since the 1980s.

Moscow has warned that any deployment of nuclear weapons in Finland would be a direct threat to Russiaand would trigger retaliatory measures.

Speaking exclusively to RT on Thursday, Andrey Kartapolov, chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee, warned thatFinnish lawmakers would be making a “big mistake” if they voted in favor of the bill. The arrival of foreign nuclear weapons in the Nordic country would significantly undermine its own security, according to the senior Russian MP.

The relevant military installations on Finnish soil would inevitably end up on Russian strategic forces’ priority target list, Kartapolov predicted.

There is “rampant Satanism” in certain EU member states, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has alleged, citing their connivance inthe Ukrainian authorities’ “blasphemous practices” at the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra Orthodox monastery.

Since the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in 2022, the government in Kiev has intensified its crackdown on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church over allegations that it has connections to Moscow. The Ukrainian authorities have sinceconducted numerous raids on monasteries and launched dozens of criminal cases on collaboration charges against clerics, as well as property seizures.

At the same time,Vladimir Zelensky’s government has backed the rival Orthodox Church of Ukraine, which the Russian Orthodox Church considers schismatic.

Speaking at a Russian Foreign Ministry reception on Wednesday dedicated to Orthodox Easter, Lavrov stated that theUkrainian leadership has rejected “their spiritual and civilizational roots.”

“The Ukrainian Orthodox Church has been persecuted for over a decade now, with churches [forcibly] taken over, vandalized and clergy and parishioners harassed,” he said.

Particularly “outrageous and disgusting” is the Ukrainian authorities’ initiative to create an “inventory and inspect the holy relics in terms of their historical and scientific value”at the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra monastery.

According to Lavrov, the “Ukrainian Ministry of Culture used this bureaucratic formula to concealits legalized blasphemous practices, while several European countries have turned a blind eye to these developments or even directly supported them.”

“There is rampant Satanism in these countries, too,” the Russian foreign minister concluded.

Last March, the first reports emerged of Ukrainian government officials and police forcing their way into the catacombs of what is considered the nation’s most significant monastery and the final resting place of several Christian saints.

Incidentally,this is not the first time Lavrov has suggested there are Satanic tendencies in the West.

Speaking in February, after the US Department of Justice released a large trove of the so-called Epstein files, the Russian foreign minister said that the materials had “revealed the face of the West.”

Russia’s adversaries are busy thinking about how to “shape” the country’s victory in the Ukraine conflict, Russian President Vladimir Putin has suggested.

The president made the remarks in response to comments by the head of the local legislature of the city of Nizhny Novgorod, Evgeny Chintsov, during a meeting with representatives of the country’s municipalities. Chintsov saidthat “nobody, including the enemy” doubts that the conflict will result in Russia’s victory.

Putin agreed but appeared to caution against making overly bold statements prematurely.

“Yes, they are just thinking about how to shape it all; we’ll see. However, military action is always a very complicated and dangerous thing. We know how everything will end, but we will not make any public statements about it. We will simply strive to achieve the goals we have set,” the president said.

Early in the conflict, Moscow outlined the goals it seeks to achieve through the Ukraine operation and maintains they have remained unchanged ever since. These include demilitarization and denazification of the country and protection of Russian speakers, as well as ensuring Ukrainian neutrality.Additional goals that emerged later also include the recognition of the formerly Ukrainian regions that voted to join Russia.

Moscow has repeatedly signaled openness to resolve the hostilities through diplomacy, should its demands be met, while maintaining its readiness to achieve its goals by force should the negotiating efforts ultimately fail. Territorial issues seem to have become the main obstacle in the negotiations, as Kiev has repeatedly refused to withdraw its forces from the parts of Donbass it still controls.

Zelensky accuses Trump envoys of ‘disrespect’

The Ukrainian leader has rebuked Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner for holding talks with Russia in the Kremlin and never coming to Kiev

Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky has claimed thatit is “simply not respectful” for US President Donald Trump’s peace envoys to hold multiple rounds of talks in Moscow while never visiting Kiev.

Zelensky delivered the remarks on Monday in a wide-ranging interview with Ukrainian outlet Fakti ICTV when asked what the chances were of Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner eventually coming to Ukraine.

In response, the Ukrainian leader preemptively downplayed any expectation of a visit,stressing that the media “should not turn the arrival of Jared and Witkoff into some kind of special sensation, because we are in contact with them.”

“I believe their visit is needed not by us, but by them. It is not respectful to travel to Moscow and not come to Kiev. It’s simply not respectful. I understand that our logistics are more complicated. But everyone is travelling,” he said.

Zelensky went on to downplay the matter of location,saying that “if they don’t want to, we will meet in other countries.” He stressed that Kiev’s main goal is to achieve “the result” –namely a ceasefirealong the current contact line. Moscow has opposed such kind of a truce, arguing it would only enable Kiev to recuperate its battered military and obtain more weapons from the West.

Witkoff, who has played a key role in the peace process, has made six trips to Moscow since US President Donald Trump took office, including multiple meetings with President Vladimir Putin. Kushner has joined him on some of those occasions.Witkoff has held talks with Ukrainian officials, but never in Kiev. The most recent meeting was in Miami last month.

Zelensky rebuked the US negotiators earlier this month for their perceived proximity to Putin, lamenting they “spent too much time”with the Russian leader.“The problem is they trust Putin. And it’s a pity,” he said.

According tomultiple media reports, Ukraine and the US have also been at odds over the terms for settling the conflict. Zelensky has claimed Washington was conditioning US post-war security guarantees for Kiev on a full military withdrawal from Russia’s Donbass. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio,however, has rejected the allegation, accusing Zelensky of “lies.”

Speaking at a UN Security Council briefing on Ukraine on Monday, Nebenziaaccused Kiev and its backers of staging a “cheap, shoddy show” in the UN halls as they fear that the Iran war is drawing attention away from Ukraine’s conflict with Russia.

Zelensky, a comedian-turned-politician, “is perfectly aware that moving the Ukrainian file to the backburner of international politics due to the escalation in the Middle Eastcan significantly reduce the profits reaped from his concert tour over European countries,”Nebenzia said.

He added thatZelensky “thought that he would be able to endlessly and effortlessly pester for money from his Western sponsors,” citing the alleged threat of a Russian attack against NATO.

The Ukrainian leader has been courting his Western backers, particularly in the EU, for weapons and financialassistance for years, while constantly complaining that the aid is not enough.

According to the Kiel Institute, Ukraine received €207 billion ($243 billion) from Europe and €115 billion ($135 billion) from the US since the escalation of the conflict in 2022.Media reports suggest, however, that the Iran war could slow the pace of deliveries.

Nebenzia noted that faced with this conundrum,Zelensky “did not lose his bearings,” and startedraving about Ukraine “singlehandedly unblock[ing] the Strait of Hormuz.”

The envoy was referring to Zelensky’s claims that Ukraine provided Gulf countries with drone expertise, and in return securing defense deals. US President DonaldTrump, however, dismissed the offer of support from Kiev, saying “the last person we need help from is Zelensky… we know more about drones than anybody.”(when Trump said that, Zelensky’s end rolled faster downhill.)

Zelensky’s claims about Ukraine’s decisive role in the Hormuz crisis are “nothing but a figment of the imagination of the thieving Kiev ringleader, and he is trying to sell his whimsical illusions to anyone willing to pay for them,” Nebenzia said.

He also highlighted the dire situation for Ukraine at home. “Ordinary Ukrainians are refusing to fight for the blatantly corrupt country’s leadership, they are dodging the draft, deserting,” he said, adding that reluctant recruits are being maimed, stunned, and nearly beaten to death by recruitment officers.

”Is this the kind of ‘security’ Zelensky is looking to ‘export’ throughout the globe?”Nebenzia said.

Trump shares letter calling India and China ‘hellholes’

The US president has reposted a podcaster’s message describing immigrants from the two countries asgangsters with laptops

US President Donald Trump has shared a letter deriding India and China as “hellholes.”

Trump reposted the letter from former radio host Michael Savage’s podcast Savage Nation on Truth Social on Wednesday.

The post was a criticism of the US birthright citizenship laws, which referred to India, China andother countries as “hellholes”while fiercely advocating changes to American policy regarding nationality.

“A baby here becomes an instant citizen, and then they bring the entire family in from China or India or some other hellhole on the planet,” the letter said.

It charged that these immigrants have done more damage to “this nation than all the mafia families put together.”

It added, “In my un-humble opinion. Gangsters with laptops. They’ve robbed us, blind, treated us like second-class citizens, let the turd world triumph, stepped on our flag, et cetera.”

The letter also said that “white men need not apply” for jobs, and alleged unsubstantiated bias in internal hiring mechanisms, claiming they are “run by Indians and Chinese.”

Trump had signed an executive order on January 20, 2025, seeking to limit birthright citizenship for certain children born in the US, prompting lawsuits that remain pending.

The order directs federal agencies to deny citizenship to children born on US soil if neither parent is an American citizen or a lawful permanent resident.

The controversial repost by Trump comes a day after he falsely claimed in an interview with CNBC that “no country in the world”offers birthright citizenship other than the US.

Canada and most Latin American nations provide birthright citizenship.

The US president recently courted controversy after posting and later deleting an AI‑generated image of himself depicted as Jesus on Truth Social, triggering a worldwide backlash.

Earlier this month, he threatened to destroy Iranian civilization overnight in response to the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, but later backed down.
