Today: President Trump and the first lady greet the king and queen “informally,” per Buckingham Palace. Then it’s off to a garden party at the British ambassador’s residence, just up the street from the vice president’s home.

Tonight: a formal White House welcome, complete with a ceremonial military review.

Tomorrow: President Trump and King Charles hold a bilateral meeting, while the first lady hosts Queen Camilla. Then the king will address a joint meeting of Congress — a rare honor. Queen Elizabeth II was the first monarch to do so, in 1991.

The day tomorrow wraps with a White House state dinner.

Before heading to New York, the royals will lay a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery, marking the military partnership between the U.K. and U.S. Then Thursday shifts south to Virginia (location to be announced), where the itinerary leans Americana: Appalachian cultural performances, a 250th anniversary “block party.” A national park visit focused on conservation and Indigenous communities. Then, separately, a horse farm stop for the queen. {Per Axios}

(This is so fucking bizarre because England is freaking stupid in their comedies= they lost we won, it’s done. Now we can humiliate you)

Sergey Brin Moves to the Right, With a ‘MAGA Girlfriend’ by His Side

After once backing liberal causes, the Google co-founder has praised President Trump, donated to Republicans and spent $57 million to try to block a California billionaire tax.

(This is a NYTs lie to get Trump to believe it. They are all about money)

It was a holiday party at a crypto titan’s estate in Marin County, and Sergey Brin had a bone to pick with Gavin Newsom.

Mr. Brin, a Google co-founder and one of the world’s richest people, is a longtime friend of Mr. Newsom, the California governor. Both men attended each other’s weddings. But now Mr. Brin pulled Mr. Newsom aside to a different part of the property for a serious talk.

Mr. Brin told Mr. Newsom that he could not stand the state’s proposed billionaire tax. They were soon joined by Mr. Brin’s girlfriend, Gerelyn Gilbert-Soto, a Trump-loving gut-health influencer. Even as she tried to defuse the tension — joking that she would let Mr. Newsom’s bad policies slide because he was handsome — she argued that the measure would wreck California’s economy.

Mr. Newsom, who had never seemed inclined to support the tax, came out the next month and pledged to defeat it. He declined to comment on the interaction.

The December confrontation, which took place at a party thrown by the billionaire Chris Larsen and was recounted by three people briefed on it, reflected Mr. Brin’s new war footing. He is growing more politically agitated, more willing to spend his estimated $273 billion fortune on elections and evidently more receptive to Republican points of view.

Mr. Brin, 52, long showed little interest in politics. When he did, he embraced liberal causes: He donated to a campaign to defend same-sex marriage in California in 2008 and backed President Barack Obama’s re-election bid in 2012. He called President Trump’s election in 2016 “deeply offensive” in leaked comments to Google employees and then joined a protest against Mr. Trump’s ban on immigrants from several predominantly Muslim countries. In 2021, he quietly started a nonprofit group that has spent at least $88 million on climate and environmental policy.

=But now, like so many other leaders in the traditionally liberal bastion of Silicon Valley, Mr. Brin has shifted to the right.

With his outspokenly conservative girlfriend by his side, he has joined the ranks of tech executives courting Mr. Trump in his second term. Last May, he attended a fund-raiser featuring Vice President JD Vance and donated nearly half a million dollars to the Republican National Committee. In September, he told the president at a White House dinner that he was “very grateful” for the administration’s support of tech companies. This March, he was named to a White House tech council and donated to a Republican candidate for governor of California who has since earned Mr. Trump’s endorsement.

Mr. Brin is particularly rattled by the proposal for a one-time, 5 percent tax on California billionaires, and has emerged as Silicon Valley’s leading combatant of the measure. To escape the tax, he moved before a Dec. 31 deadline to the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe (he now spends every other week at Google’s California headquarters, alternating with Nevada, a person familiar with the arrangement said). And he has spent $57 million to try to undercut the measure, including $9 million more disclosed on Friday.

Asked for comment on this article, Mr. Brin said in a rare statement: “I fled socialism with my family in 1979 and know the devastating, oppressive society it created in the Soviet Union. I don’t want California to end up in the same place.”

The New York Times spoke with more than a dozen people close to Mr. Brin for this article, many of whom were granted anonymity to describe private conversations.

Mr. Brin’s spending, along with smaller donations in the California governor’s race, have made him the state’s second-largest individual donor this election cycle — behind only the billionaire Tom Steyer, who is running for governor himself.

“This is a guy who is not a hobbyist,” said Marty Wilson, the longtime political chief of the California Chamber of Commerce, who has spoken with Mr. Brin’s aides. “He’s very serious and this isn’t just some hobby for him. He’s going to play big time.”

==A Girlfriend Who’s a Big Trump Fan

Mr. Brin’s political engagement has roughly coincided with his relationship with Ms. Gilbert-Soto, which began in 2023. Mr. Brin began dating her after divorcing from Nicole Shanahan, who served in 2024 as Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s running mate.==

(Sounds like bullshit)

Virginia’s top court pounds Dems over redistricting move called ‘blatant power grab’

NY Post

WASHINGTON — Democrats faced tough questioning before the Virginia Supreme Court on Monday during oral arguments on a redistricting referendum that narrowly passed last week, though most of the justices were oddly quiet.

Republicans have challenged the referendum, which paved the way for the Dems to pick up as many as four local congressional seats — potentially leaving them with a 10-to-one margin over GOPers — arguing that the Democrat-led General Assembly flouted procedural rules to get it on the ballot.

A constitutional amendment was needed to put it to voters — and state lawmakers have to approve a resolution in two consecutive legislative sessions, with an election in between, to do so.

Democrats claimed they met that requirement thanks partly to a special session last year that they contend was left open from 2024 and resumed again in the normal session in 2025. Republicans are arguing that such a special session doesn’t count as two sessions.

Additionally, the state legislature’s first vote on the proposed amendment took place in October, while early voting in the off-year election was still ongoing, so there were no two separate sessions with an election in between as required, the GOPers said.

The lower courts have been skeptical about whether Democrats complied with the procedures.

But the Democrats’ lawyer, Matthew Seligman, argued to the state’s high court, “The General Assembly complied with every step that the Constitution requires.

The circuit court attempted to interfere with the democratic process by halting it,” he said. “The challengers here now try to overturn the result of that democratic process.”

Right off the bat, a justice dismissed Seligman’s argument about the people of Virginia deciding the referendum and underscored the irregularities of the process.

The other justices who asked questions largely pushed Seligman over tougher procedural issues and generally had easier queries for the GOP’s lawyer

Notably, fewer than half of the state’s seven high court justices actually asked questions during oral arguments.

Another procedural issue raised involved the General Assembly neglecting to publish the proposed amendment 90 days in advance, then retroactively repealing that regulation.

“There are lots of voters across the Commonwealth who are not totally educated on everything going on in Richmond, and they need time,” contended Thomas McCarthy, the lawyer repping the Republicans.

“The Commonwealth needs time for the whole thing to be aired out,” he said of the situation — which Republican National Committee Chairman Joe Gruters has called “a blatant power grab.”…

SCOOP: Leftist Group Denies Reported Connection To Anti-Trump DC Shooting Suspect

Leftist group “the Wide Awakes” denied knowing suspected White House Correspondents’ Dinner gunman Cole Allen in a statement to the Daily Caller News Foundation after reports claimed a connection.

Allen’s journey through leftist politics included joining the informal Wide Awakes movement before he allegedly targeted President Donald Trump at the Saturday night event in Washington, multiple media outlets reported, citing officials who heard from Allen’s family. The Wide Awakes, consisting of little more than a website and an artistic style of protest, considers itself a successor to an anti-slavery movement of the same name that supported Abraham Lincoln for president and defended free speech. The Department of Justice is probing Allen’s possible ties to the Wide Awakes and any other political groups, Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche told reporters Monday.

“We do not know Allen he doesn’t have a connection to us as far as anyone knows,” a spokesperson for the group said in an Instagram message. The spokesperson speculated that Allen may have instead been involved in a February noise demonstration against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Hudson, Wisconsin, which was dubbed a “Wide Awake” protest. “They are not a part of our decentralized group,” the Wide Awakes said of the anti-ICE protesters.

The Wide Awakes were “a shadowy youth movement that rose up in 1860, as the nation teetered toward civil war, then vanished,” The Guardian wrote in 2020 as anti-police Black Lives Matter (BLM) protests were popularizing the new group. “Now, in another bitterly divided moment, historians, journalists and even fashionistas are converging on the movement, which helped elect Abraham Lincoln.”

Six years later, Allen sought to become his own John Wilkes Booth by taking a train from California to Washington, sprinting into the Washington Hilton with multiple weapons and trying to kill Trump and other top officials, authorities said. A manifesto he allegedly sent to family members moments before the attack called Trump “a pedophile, rapist, and traitor,” The New York Post reported. Law enforcement agents arrested him at the hotel after he allegedly shot a Secret Service agent, who was kept alive by a bulletproof vest.

Allen’s alleged behavior is a far cry from the Wide Awakes’ ostensibly nonviolent, colorful methods of political expression.

The Wide Awakes organized nationwide demonstrations on Oct. 3, 2025, by allowing viewers of the website to post locations for their own gatherings on a map. The group said the event was meant to echo the original Wide Awakes marching for slave emancipation on Oct. 3, 1860….

Somali Fraud Is Only A Drop In The Bucket. 4/26/26

The Somali fraud is only a drop in the bucket, as it compares to the elaborate Indian fraud and scam networks that are taking American tech jobs and hurting the American economy, through H-1B visas, bought degrees and fake certifications.

Since COVID, 90% of the net gain in American jobs have gone to foreign workers, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Tech companies are passing over American college students for foreign workers, many of whom have scam degrees and certifications. In a study conducted by the Institute for Sound Public Policy, 60% of American citizens and 86% of foreign Computer Science Master’s graduates got jobs six months after graduation from UMass Amherst in 2022.

In one instance, the University of Pittsburgh tried to hire for a tech position, yet the position was open only to candidates with an H-1B visa. And another in a taxpayer-funded university in Indiana. Another at Stanford.

By allowing the prioritization of H-1B workers in STEM, the market has been flooded with fake foreign degrees while devaluing science and engineering degrees for American college grads, leaving American STEM talent more susceptible to under and unemployment.

A South China Morning Post expose revealed an India-based University, Manav Bharti University (MBU), reportedly sold 36,000 fake degrees over 11 years for less than $5,000 each- and U.S. employers accepted them!

The bottom line is that people with fake degrees do not compare in quality to American workers with American degrees and certifications, which has had broad effects throughout the American tech industry, including massive bugs, cloud malfunctions and cybersecurity failures.

On Cyber Monday in December 2025, Shopify, a user of H1-B labor for tech, had a massive glitch failure that halted their ability to process transactions, causing a 6% drop in Shopify stock, not to mention, the thousands of small businesses that could not process orders on the highest day of online sales.

H-1B visas may be great for short-term quarterly gains of the highest performing U.S. technology-sector stocks, “Mag 7,” but fraud is terrible for the American economy and national security.

In a push against Indian outsourcing, conservatives have generated enthusiasm, saying “Make Call Centers Great Again,” citing an overall dissatisfaction with customer support call centers.

Democratic Sen. Gallego of Arizona introduced the Keep Call Centers in America Act of 2025 in July of last year, aimed at making companies that relocate call centers overseas ineligible for federal grants and loans.

In September 2025, the late activist Charlie Kirk took to X saying,

“America does not need more visas for people from India. Perhaps no form of legal immigration has so displaced American workers as those from India. Enough already. We’re full. Let’s finally put our own people first.”

While the Trump administration has begun cracking down on H-1B visas, it doesn’t touch the H-1B visa holders already here in the U.S.

These are non-U.S. citizens, many of whom have lied to get access to American tech positions, yet the system grants the tech industry access to the personal data of hundreds of millions of Americans; how are we making sure that this sensitive data does not end up in the hands of scammers in India?

In February, a year-long, expanding FBI investigation found more than 650 victims targeted by the same three call centers in India, losing over $48 million. The fraudsters posed as tech support workers, allowing them to gain access to victims’ computers, or described themselves as American law enforcement as part of elaborate ruses.

In fact, 31% of Americans report receiving at least one scam call a day, while 68% report receiving at least one a week. 73% of Americans have experienced some kind of online scam or attack, meaning this fraud and corruption issue could be the campaign issue of the year.

It’s an issue stemming from a culture of fraud that has enabled elaborate Indian fraud markets, which have used American data to scam America’s most vulnerable daily…

(And the billionaires courting Trump are 100% involved!)

Bruce Springsteen condemned political violence during an E Street Band concert following the White House Correspondents' Dinner shooting

The armed suspect was charged with attempting to assassinate President Trump and two federal gun charges

Springsteen has often sparred publicly with President Trump

Bruce Springsteen offered a prayer for President Donald Trump after the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner shooting on Saturday, April 25.

During the E Street Band's concert in Austin, Texas, the following day, the "Dancing in the Dark" singer spoke out against political violence.

"We begin tonight with a prayer for our men and women in service overseas, we pray for their safe return," Springsteen, 76, said, according to fan-recorded videos on social media. "We also send out a prayer of thanks that our president, nor anyone in the administration, nor anyone attending, was injured at last night's incident at the [White House] Press Correspondents' Dinner."

He continued, "We can disagree. We can be critical of those in power, and we can peacefully fight for our beliefs. But there is no place in any way, shape, or form for political violence of any kind in our beloved United States."

At the White House Correspondents' Dinner, Trump, first lady Melania Trump, Vice President JD Vance and press secretary Karoline Leavitt were rushed out by Secret Service agents after an armed man — whom police identified as Cole Tomas Allen, 31, of Torrance, Calif. — allegedly opened fire.

(Is Springsteen realizing the evil he’s engaged in?)…
