We pay roughly 40 % of NATO funds; we supply thousands of our troops to be stationed in their countries. Those troops spend their expendable dollars there. We employ some of their people to support staffing. Because our troops are there with our equipment many of them don't feel the need to fund their military, after all nothing will happen if the USA military is there.

A good portion of Europeans are socialists and expect their governments to provide them with everything from cradle to grave. There are those who are awake but they have no voice. If they speak up they are shouted down or rallies are attacked by police. Freedom in Europe is not the same as it is here because they didn't get fully awakened.

You are free to have your take, but I stand by mine.

Which time? Are you speaking of the current invasion? WW1/ WW2? We didn't have our troops stationed there then.

The WW wasn't an invasion, it would today be considered a civil war. We didn't consider Germany a threat at the time of WW1 and FDR didn't want to get involved directly in WW2. Might not have, had Japan not bombed Pearl Harbor. Still can't figure why Germany and Japan wanted US involved, but shame on them.

I know I'm overly simplifying it but exactly when are you referring ?

Riddle me thisโ€ฆIf the European's are so damn special and advance why don't they make and use their own military equipment?

Answer: They do, but it isn't worth a shit; they want to buy U.S. made military equipment so if they need it, it will actually work.
