I was a minister for many years. That's not the heart of the line. Jesus called the Pharisees "wicked" and "Children of the Devil" etc.
Some people lack mental capacity. The humble amongst them realize that your identity is not wrapped up in your "brain", and of course have other talents and gifts. The arrogant amongst them go to college and get liberal arts degrees or work for CNN.
Stupid doesn't equal "foolish."
