The Precious Paper Problem: The Divergence In Western Bullion Markets

Gold has nearly doubled in two years. Silver has outpaced it. For the commodity that backed money for most of human history and that central banks still treat as the final settlement asset, these moves should represent a clean signal about physical scarcity and monetary demand. Western gold prices no longer carry that information cleanly.

The prices quoted in London and New York are increasingly detached from the physical reality of who owns what gold, where it sits, and whether it can be delivered on demand.

What looks like a bull market is the early indication of a pricing system failure.

Context

Western bullion markets operate on a credit model. The London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) runs the largest gold market in the world, but most of the gold traded there is held in what the industry calls “unallocated” accounts. This means the customer holds a paper claim on a clearing bank rather than title to a specific bar in a vault.

When an investor buys an ounce through an LBMA member bank, the bank records a liability on its balance sheet and does not transfer ownership of any particular piece of metal. The Commodity Exchange in New York (COMEX) works on similar principles for futures contracts. Historically, fewer than one percent of COMEX contracts ever resulted in physical delivery. The rest were closed out or rolled forward as bookkeeping entries.

Eastern bullion markets operate on a property model. The Shanghai Gold Exchange (SGE)—the largest Asian gold venue and the operational arm of China’s central bank for physical gold—requires sellers to deposit physical metal before trading and buyers to pay in full upfront. More than 90 percent of SGE spot contracts result in actual delivery of actual bars.

The Shanghai Futures Exchange—the second major Chinese precious metals venue—operates on similar physical-first principles for its gold and silver futures. India’s retail and institutional buyers import and hold physical metal directly. Dubai’s trading hub treats allocated, segregated storage as the default condition rather than the premium option.

This difference reflects a philosophical choice about what gold is. Western markets have built their infrastructure around credit claims on pooled metal. Eastern markets have built theirs around title transfer of specific bars. The size of the gap between those two systems’ prices is now the most important indicator in the global bullion market.

Key NATO member’s pro-EU government falls

Romanian lawmakers have voted overwhelmingly to oust Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, toppling his cabinet

Romania’s ruling pro-EU coalition collapsed on Tuesday after Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan was ousted in a no-confidence motion in the country's parliament. The defeat follows months of tensions over austerity measures as Bucharest struggles with the highest budget deficit in the EU.

The motion passed 281-4 after a debate on a joint effort launched by the left-wing Social Democratic Party (PSD), which withdrew from the governing coalition late last month, and the right-wing opposition Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) party.

Bolojan called the motion “cynical and artificial” during the parliamentary debate, insisting that he took “urgent and necessary” measures to address the country’s economic crisis.

Critics, however, have argued that after ten months in power, Bolojan and the four-party pro-EU government failed to bring any real improvements for citizens. AUR leader George Simion celebrated the vote, writing on social media that Romanians had only “received taxes, war and poverty” under the government and called for snap elections, which are, however, considered unlikely before 2028.

Why is Romania's politics so unstable

The current government and the four-party coalition were set up in June 2025 by President Nicusor Dan after winning a controversial election rerun that critics argue was orchestrated to keep anti-European forces out of power and appease EU and NATO interest groups.

Romania hosts one of NATO's largest regional airbases at Mihail Kogalniceanu near the Black Sea which is currently being expanded to become the bloc’s biggest airbase in Europe. Meanwhile, the country has also become a significant market for Western European exports and a source of cheaper labour for EU-based companies.

Annulment of Georgescu’s victory

The initial election round, held in December 2024, was won by independent anti-NATO and anti-EU candidate Calin Georgescu who advocated for restoring Romania’s sovereignty and opposed the EU’s confrontational stance towards Russia.

However, Romania’s Constitutional Court, under pressure from Brussels, infamously overturned the result, citing an alleged Russian TikTok interference campaign. While no evidence was ever provided for the accusations, TikTok has testified that it saw no coordinated Russian operation boosting Georgescu but constantly received demands from EU-funded NGOs to remove content supporting the nationalist candidate.

Georgescu was later detained, charged with incitement against the constitutional order, and barred from running in the 2025 rerun. The charges were subsequently reduced to charges of promoting “far-right propaganda.”

The EU’s democratic backsliding

The treatment of Georgescu has been widely criticized, including in the US, where the House Judiciary Committee concluded in February that Brussels had used unproven Russian interference claims to overturn the 2024 election results. The committee’s report described the move as “the most aggressive censorship steps” taken by the EU in recent years.

US Vice President J.D. Vance told the Munich Security Conference in February 2025 that it was “ugly” to see a politician with an alternative viewpoint being blocked from power and accused Europe of backsliding on the most fundamental democratic values.

Georgescu himself has argued that his victory was overturned by the “globalist mafia” because NATO intends to “launch World War III from Romania” and was opposed to his campaign focused on peace.

What happens next

President Dan is expected to begin consultations with party leaders to form a new government as Romania faces an August deadline to complete reforms and unlock around €11 billion in EU funding while a credit rating downgrade remains a risk, according to Politico.

Western censorship wrecking global press freedom – RT at UNESCO event

Western governments sanctioned the Russian broadcaster not because of “disinformation” but to suppress dissenting voices, Chief Producer Dmitry Leontiev has said

Western efforts to censor RT have nothing to do with alleged “disinformation” but are aimed at suppressing dissenting voices, Chief Producer Dmitry Leontiev has told delegates at a UNESCO summit marking World Press Freedom Day.

Leontiev made the remarks on Tuesday at a UNESCO conference titled ‘Shaping a Future at Peace’ in Lusaka, Zambia that brought together journalists, policymakers, and digital rights advocates.

“We were banned by all Western countries a few years ago,” Leontiev said. “More than that, those Western governments coerced social media companies to ban us as well.”

He noted that it was “even more alarming” that Western governments openly pressed African countries to follow suit while threatening to sanction them if they allowed RT content.

He stressed that the sanctions on RT were imposed “under the guise of fighting disinformation” and never included accusations that the network was “saying anything false.”

“There are no false facts we are saying. We are stating information that the Western governments do not like, and they have enough power to sanction us.”

Leontiev then posed the question to the floor: “How do we put these two concepts together – fighting disinformation and press freedom?”

Phathiswa Magopeni Tshangana, executive director of the Press Council of South Africa, responded by calling for platform governance rooted in human rights, stressing that it must fully account for free expression and media freedom.

Russia’s envoy to UNESCO, Ravil Alyautdinov, backed up RT’s argument that Moscow has been systematically drawing attention to “one-sided politically motivated reprisals against the Russian media in the West.”

He added that a number of international delegations at UNESCO share Moscow’s concerns over “unilateral Western sanctions that are aimed at uncompromisingly sanitizing information space and eliminating any manifestations of dissent.”

The War Department Announces Agreements With Leading AI Companies To Deploy Capabilities On Classified Networks

The Department of War – Official Press Release

The War Department has entered into agreements with seven of the world’s leading frontier artificial intelligence companies, SpaceX, OpenAI, Google, NVIDIA, Reflection, Microsoft, and Amazon Web Services, to deploy their advanced AI capabilities on the Department’s classified networks for lawful operational use.

These agreements accelerate the transformation toward establishing the United States military as an AI-first fighting force and will strengthen our warfighters’ ability to maintain decision superiority across all domains of warfare.

Integrating secure frontier AI capabilities into the Department’s Impact Level 6 (IL6) and Impact Level 7 (IL7) network environments will streamline data synthesis, elevate situational understanding, and augment warfighter decision-making in complex operational environments. SpaceX, OpenAI, Google, NVIDIA, Reflection, Microsoft, and Amazon Web Services will provide resources to deploy their capabilities on both IL6 and IL7 environments.

This effort supports the Department’s AI Acceleration Strategy by enabling new capabilities across its three core tenets of warfighting, intelligence, and enterprise operations.

GenAI.mil, the War Department’s official AI platform, is already demonstrating the scale and impact of this acceleration. Over 1.3 million Department personnel have used the platform, generating tens of millions of prompts and deploying hundreds of thousands of agents in only five months. Warfighters, civilians, and contractors are putting these capabilities to practical use right now, cutting many tasks from months to days.

The Department will continue to build an architecture that prevents AI vendor lock and ensures long-term flexibility for the Joint Force. Access to a diverse suite of AI capabilities from across the resilient American technology stack will give warfighters the tools they need to act with confidence and safeguard the nation against any threat.

Together, the War Department and these strategic partners share the conviction that American leadership in AI is indispensable to national security. This leadership depends on a thriving domestic ecosystem of capable model developers that enable the full and effective use of their capabilities in support of Department missions.

As mandated by President Trump and Secretary Hegseth, the Department will continue to envelop our warfighters with advanced AI to meet the unprecedented emerging threats of tomorrow and to strengthen our Arsenal of Freedom.

Sen. Rand Paul Calls Out DOJ — Warns Agency Has Only ONE WEEK LEFT to Charge Fauci For Lying to Congress About Gain-of-Function

The DOJ has ONE WEEK left to charge Anthony Fauci for the worst cover-up in modern medical history.

He lied to Congress about funding gain-of-function research in Wuhan. Millions died. Trillions were spent. And Fauci walked away with book deals and fawning media coverage instead of handcuffs. I re-upped my criminal referral to the DOJ because the evidence is overwhelming, and justice has been delayed long enough.

The Invisible Occupation: How Palantir and AI Built a Financial Prison the Masses Cheered For

As the state unleashes AI to police your bank account, starving the beast with decentralized privacy networks is the ultimate act of peaceful defiance.

We are living in an occupied nation, but the occupying force didn't arrive in tanks or uniform. They arrived in server racks and boardrooms, selling our enslavement back to us under the guise of convenience and national security. The creeping surveillance state isn't being forced upon a resistant public; it is being welcomed with open arms by a populace asleep at the wheel.

Palantir is the Lockheed Martin of the domestic data war, acting as the defense contractor for an invisible battlefield, but their depravity extends far beyond American borders. They don't merely sit on the sidelines building the overarching dragnet that seamlessly ingests the Ring camera footage oblivious citizens hand over to local police. They are active participants in global slaughter. This is the very same company supplying the algorithmic targeting systems and AI intelligence used by the Israeli military to facilitate the genocide in Palestine. They test and refine their digital kill chains on the bodies of innocents abroad, only to package those exact same mass-surveillance weapons and turn them inward against the American public. And to feed this beast domestically, Palantir relies on far more than voluntary home surveillance. They aggregate billions of data points involuntarily harvested from your daily life—sucking up automated license plate reader data, scraped social media, purchased cell phone location pings, and even medical records—creating an inescapable digital panopticon you never consented to.

This infrastructure wasn't built by well-meaning public servants, but rather by the darkest elements of the global elite. According to leaked audio, Jeffrey Epstein explicitly advised former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak to "look at" Palantir back in 2013 to monitor citizens. Furthermore, Palantir co-founder Peter Thiel shows up extensively in the infamous Epstein files, with Wired reporting his name appearing over two thousand times in the disgraced financier's records.

These are the individuals constructing the systems designed to monitor your every move, and their reach is now absolute. As we have documented extensively at The Free Thought Project, whistleblowers are screaming from the rooftops that Palantir has effectively taken over the US government data infrastructure from the inside out.

The most terrifying aspect of this takeover is how the two-party paradigm is utilized to manufacture consent for our own subjugation. The political Left, who now decries Palantir for its contracts with ICE, suddenly cheered for the surveillance apparatus when it served their biomedical agenda during the COVID-19 panic. Palantir built the Tiberius software platform for the Department of Health and Human Services and the CDC, serving as the backbone for vaccine tracking and distribution while harvesting immense amounts of demographic and health data. They learned to love the surveillance state the moment it enforced their mandates.

Now that the political pendulum has swung, the "small government" Right is enthusiastically applauding the exact same corporate behemoth. Palantir recently secured massive contracts to build AI-driven platforms like ImmigrationOS, pulling data from IRS records, license plate readers, and private-sector sources to track and monitor populations for mass deportations. The conservatives who correctly recognized the danger of biomedical surveillance are completely silent when a defense contractor builds a domestic tracking database, simply because it targets a group they currently despise. The state grows larger, and partisans on both sides applaud their own chains.

Tucker Carlson Sounds the Alarm on New Legislation to Censor the Internet

Tucker Carlson decided to take a stand.

Carlson knew this would turn into a major fight.

And Tucker Carlson said what’s coming next will keep every American up at night.

Fox News host Mark Levin argued that tech companies should censor what he called “lowlifes.”

“I don’t have any problem with de-platforming them. What does that mean, de-platforming them? Government law?” Levin declared on his show.

“No. It means that X or Twitter or Facebook or Amazon with Twitch and so forth says, you know what, you’re a low life. We’re not paying, you know, get off our platform,” Levin added.

Levin’s demand for censorship came as he called critics of the Iran War, like Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Joe Rogan, and Theo Von, Nazis, anti-semities and declared they hated America.

Carlson responded to Levin on his podcast and argued that Levin’s sole criterion for censoring the internet was support for the government of Israel.

Levin and Carlson equated opposing a policy with hating all Jews.

“But in any case, you see Mark Levin saying people who criticize the government of Israel, and that is his, and to the extent there is one, the official definition of antisemitism is criticism of the government of Israel, the secular government of Israel, which is not supported by all Jews, that’s for sure,” Carlson added.

Carlson went to tell his audience that Levin’s demand for internet censorship wasn’t happening in a vacuum and attracted Congressional support in the form of legislation that would require tech companies to censor anyone who didn’t support the government of Israel.

The host went on to reveal “that legislation sponsored by Josh Gottheimer, the Democrat from New Jersey, and amazingly, Republican MAGA stalwart Mike Lawler, two of the most florid and least ashamed neocons in the United States Congress, introduced legislation today to compel the tech companies to ban people who criticize Israel, the government of Israel, because that’s hate.”

Carlson raised the red flag that even though Americans voted against internet censorship in 2024, voices that wanted to muzzle free speech were rallying behind Levin’s call and seeking to impose new censorship protocols online.

“So what’s the takeaway from all this? Well, the first takeaway is that censorship is coming, and it will work unless people exercise their God-given and First Amendment-guaranteed right to push back against it with words and do so at high volume without any shame at all. It’s going to need a refusal to be intimidated by false claims of, quote, hate,” Carlson concluded.

Levin and Carlson have engaged in a nearly year-long feud over Middle East policy and the war with Iran.

Carlson now asserted that Levin is taking this feud to the extreme, and since polls show Americans are split on the Iran War, demanding that big tech silence his opponents.

Ghislaine Maxwell Wants to Expose ‘Big Name’ in Exchange for Pardon

A leaked prison email from Ghislaine Maxwell is raising new questions about what Jeffrey Epstein’s convicted accomplice knows and whether that knowledge could secure her freedom.

Veteran Miami Herald investigative journalist Julie K. Brown, whose reporting helped expose Epstein’s crimes, revealed what she described as a key clue buried in Maxwell’s own words.

According to Brown, the leaked email reveals a potential strategy to leverage explosive information on powerful figures in exchange for clemency.

In the email, Maxwell reportedly reveals that she plans to throw a “big name” under the bus in return for her own freedom.

“She Knows Too Much”

Brown’s analysis centers on a stark reality that Maxwell may hold information that could implicate some of the most powerful individuals connected to Epstein.

“She is the woman who knows too much,” Brown writes, arguing that Maxwell possesses critical details about Epstein’s network and those who allegedly participated in or enabled his crimes.

According to Brown, that leverage could ultimately put Maxwell in a position to negotiate a pardon or sentence reduction.

The Email That Raised Alarms

The turning point came from a prison email Maxwell sent to her sister in October 2025.

In the message, Maxwell referenced Wall Street billionaire Leon Black and instructed: “Send Leon’s emails etc stuff to Leah.”

Maxwell was referring to her attorney, Leah Saffian.

She then added:

“Of course it is in the papers from Congress too.

“One day the spigot will dry up.”

Brown interpreted the message as a signal that Maxwell may be preparing to release information, or positioning herself as a key witness once congressional evidence runs out.

The implication is clear: Maxwell is holding back critical evidence as leverage.

Growing Talk of a Deal

The possibility of a pardon in exchange for testimony is already dividing lawmakers.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) confirmed that Republicans are split on the idea.

Comer acknowledged that “a lot of people” support the concept of granting clemency if Maxwell fully cooperates.

Maxwell’s attorney, David Oscar Markus, has openly suggested the odds are not insignificant.

“There’s a good chance and for good reason that she would get a pardon,” he previously said.

Maxwell has already signaled her willingness to talk, invoking the Fifth Amendment during a congressional deposition earlier this year while indicating she would testify if granted clemency.

The Great Alzheimer's Scam and The Proven Cures They've Buried for Billions

Decades of neglect in understanding the actual causes of dementia have transformed it into one of the most costly diseases in existence.

• Alzheimer’s disease is commonly thought to result from abnormal plaque buildup in the brain that gradually destroys brain tissue. As a result, almost all Alzheimer’s research has been directed toward eliminating amyloid, even after the basis for much of this work was shown to stem from fraudulent research.

•As such, despite decades of research and billions of dollars spent, this model has completely failed to produce useful results. The costly “groundbreaking” Alzheimer’s drugs only slightly slow dementia progression—at the expense of causing brain bleeding and swelling in over a quarter of those treated.

•In contrast, numerous affordable treatments have been developed for Alzheimer’s disease that target the root causes of the disorder, producing significant benefits at a fraction of the cost and without any toxicity.

•One neurologist, for example, proposed that amyloid serves a protective function in the brain and treats Alzheimer’s by identifying the underlying process causing dementia (which can often be diagnosed through symptoms). Remarkably, despite the method being proven in clinical research, awareness of it or the fact there are completely different types of “Alzheimer’s disease” which require different treatments remains almost nonexistent.

•Likewise, a strong case can be made that impaired cerebral circulation, along with impaired venous and lymphatic drainage, plays a pivotal role in Alzheimer’s disease.

•This article will review the common causes of cognitive impairment and dementia (e.g., cells becoming trapped in a shocked state where they no longer function) along with the forgotten treatments for neurodegenerative disorders—some of which, like DMSO, have extensive evidence supporting their use.

One of the least appreciated aspects of medicine is the numerous frameworks that have been developed to understand how the body works and how to heal it. This, I believe is a result of conventional medicine having successfully branded itself as the one true path to understanding the body and each remaining approach being a “second-rate gimmick,” which at best, can sometimes assume a complementary role in healthcare.

However, if you study those other approaches, you will find each medical system excels at certain types of health problems, while struggling with others, so in many instances, knowing which medical model to jump to can be immensely beneficial to patients.

The modern approach to medicine is heavily biased towards a biochemistry model, where customized drugs are designed to stimulate or inhibit specific molecular targets (most commonly enzymes, frequently cellular receptors or ion channels, and less often, other aspects of the body, such as individual genes or inflammatory messengers). This approach, in turn, tends to excel for specific issues (particularly acute emergencies) but typically struggles with chronic ailments—something I attribute both to target molecules rarely being able to reach broad swathes of the body and partly due to living organisms being designed to adapt to excessive stimulation or inhibition of specific receptors and enzymes within the body.

Worldwide crackdown on VPNs begins

The “great firewalling” of the global internet is moving from a theory into a messy, technical reality this month. While democratic countries are focusing on targeted rules for kids or piracy, authoritarian regimes have launched a “scorched earth” campaign to kill VPN functionality once and for all.

The vibe is no longer about just “banning” an app, it’s about breaking the underlying protocols that make the internet private.

Major tech platforms (Yandex, Sberbank) were ordered to block all VPN users by May 1.

Using a VPN now locks you out of your own banking and shopping apps, not just western news.

Trump Taps Israel Lobbyist From Israeli Intelligence Cutout To Join Iran Negotiations.

Trump Taps Israel Lobbyist From Mossad Connected Group To Join Iran Negotiating Team.

Journalist Alex Marquardt reported recently that , “Amid stalled talks with Iran, President Donald Trump’s negotiators are adding a new member to the team from an outside Washington lobbying group” adding, “Nick Stewart, the Managing Director of Advocacy at FDD Action, the lobbying side of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies think tank, has joined the office of Steve Witkoff, the Special Envoy for Peace Missions”.

This means- as I will demonstrate- that a literal Israel lobbyist is now joining the team negotiating with Iran on behalf of the Trump administration.

The think tank, initially founded by the journalist Clifford May, was initially called “EMET,” the Hebrew word for truth, and was established in order to “provide education to enhance Israel’s image in North America”.

John Judis at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace documented in 2015 that , “On April 24, 2001, three major pro-Israel donors incorporated an organization called EMET (Hebrew for “truth’). In an application to the Internal Revenue Service for tax-exempt status, (Clifford) May explained that the group ‘was to provide education to enhance Israel’s image in North America and the public’s understanding of issues affecting Israeli-Arab relations.’ But in the wake of the Sept. 11 attacks, May broadened the group’s mission and changed its name to the Foundation for Defense of Democracies. As he explained in a supplement to the IRS, the group’s board of directors decided to focus on ‘develop[ing] educational materials on the eradication of terrorism everywhere in the world.’”

He added that the funding for FDD comes primarily from U.S.-based Zionist donors, writing, “FDD’s chief funders have been drawn almost entirely from American Jews who have a long history of funding pro-Israel organizations. They include Bernard Marcus, the co-founder of Home Depot, whiskey heirs Samuel and Edgar Bronfman, gambling mogul Sheldon Adelson, heiress Lynn Schusterman, Wall Street speculators Michael Steinhardt and Paul Singer, and Leonard Abramson, founder of U.S. Healthcare.”

By putting a lobbyist for Israel from a “think tank” that is in reality a cover for an Israeli intelligence cutout, the Trump administration is guaranteeing that Israel will be driving the American side during negotiations with Iran.

Sen. Lindsey Graham urges a "Second Amendment solution" to Iran—which he defines as funneling them tons of weapons to overthrow their govt (which has far more support now than before the war).

After Hannity points out the US already tried that and failed, he says, "Do it again!"

Quite funny how unprepared he was for Hannity to offer even the slightest bit of pushback. In Graham's defense, it's probably the first time it's happened to him since this war started.

This is horrifying

Rep Lauren Boebert “They're scanning our faces in public places at protests, even at our children's schools. The government is building secret databases they can go through anytime that they feel like it”

“This is an absolute egregious reach on our Fourth Amendment rights. They're creating a digital footprint of your entire life without a single warrant or even probable cause.”

“Your morning commute to work, it's tracked dropping off your kids at their soccer practice that's logged, visiting a church or a gun range recorded forever in government, in a government-accessible database.”

In response to this, Rep Lauren Boebert and Rep Thomas Massie introduce their new Surveillance Accountability Act (H.R. 8470)

This bill will require probable-cause warrants for many forms of government surveillance, including warrantless facial recognition in public spaces

This includes protests, schools, places of worship, automated license plate readers and even access to commercial data

This bill must pass

Israel's Right Is Returning to the Original Holy War: Against Christians

A rupture between the "new" Israel and Europe, stupidly framed as a holy war, would be yet another loss of judgment under Netanyahu's and his allies' destructive rule

Even at a time when extreme images are more widespread than ever, footage of an Israeli soldier smashing a statue of Jesus in a Christian village in southern Lebanon stood out for all the wrong reasons.

The shock was global, forcing even Benjamin Netanyahu to rouse himself and declare that he was "stunned and saddened" to hear about the incident. The punishment the military imposed on the soldier who carried out the act and his fellow unit member who recorded it – 30 days' confinement – doesn't reflect any exceptional sense of severity, but rather suggests an almost resigned acceptance of violence and contempt toward others.

Then came Tuesday's assault on a Christian nun and researcher from the École Biblique in Jerusalem. Violent contempt and rejection of the "other," met with tepid condemnation at best, seem to have become the new rules of the game.

However, reading these incidents solely through the prism of shock, condemnation or the lenient punishment misses a far more essential point: the image of an Israel Defense Forces soldier zealously shattering a sacred religious symbol may mark much broader boundaries of a holy war into which some are seeking to drag Israel.

After all, Netanyahu is already boasting about the number of open fronts – seven – that he's managing with great wisdom, even as Israelis continue running to shelters for some two and a half years. But what if this emerging eighth front carries the most explosive potential for Israel?

Netanyahu and the nationalistic-messianic-ultra-Orthodox coalition he surrounded himself with take pride in having turned Israel into the spearhead of a war against "extreme Islam."

Under that banner, in a display of folly, they've lumped together not only Hamas murderers, but also Palestinian Authority police officers and even a Jew wearing a kippa bearing a Palestinian flag, all treated as enemies.

Netanyahu, Bezalel Smotrich, Arye Dery and Itamar Ben-Gvir show neither the will nor the ability to view the region in which Israel exists as a complex mosaic that includes important allies, political opponents and enemies who seek its destruction.

In southern Lebanon, amid the ruins of the once multi-religious republic that was the Land of the Cedars, a new religious threat emerges, one that is actually far older: Jesus Christ. One of the most influential Jews who ever lived is turned into a demon to be smashed.

This is a symptom of a deep alienation of the new messianic and supremacist Israel from anyone who isn't a fundamentalist Jew. Israel's icon-smashers hate Christians just like they hate Muslims and "secular" Jews.

Did you know the US and Israel helped create Iran’s nuclear project? Here’s the story

From research reactors and Western contracts to blockades and threats of war, Iran’s nuclear history is also a history of Western reversal

What’s 3,000 people killed in Iran, 2,020 killed in Lebanon, 23 in Israel, and more than a dozen in Gulf states after the US launched its war against Iran? “A little Middle East work” that’s going “very well,” US President Donald Trump said at the White House last week during a state dinner for King Charles.

Trump’s ‘little work’, which involved significant casualties in the region without a clearly defined objective at the outset, was later framed as serving the purpose of ensuring that “Americans and their children would not be threatened by a nuclear-armed Iran.”

Trump even reposted a video by Washington Post columnist Marc Thiessen calling for an air campaign along those lines. According to Axios, the military prepared options for a “short and powerful” wave of strikes, which General Dan Caine, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, briefed the president on.

The timing is politically delicate. Trump has a state visit to China scheduled for mid-May, a trip that has already been postponed once. If strikes are ordered, they could come before the trip, allowing the president to travel after demonstrating strength. Or they could come immediately afterward, once the diplomatic optics are out of the way.

While Trump supplied the performance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio supplied the doctrine. When Trump spoke of military victory, royal agreement, and Iran never being allowed to possess a nuclear weapon, Rubio framed the same position as strategic necessity: Iran’s government cannot be trusted, its future intentions are already known, and any deal that fails to address the nuclear question is unacceptable.

The nuclear question, he said, is “the reason why we’re in this in the first place.” He insisted that if Iran’s “radical clerical regime” remained in power, it would eventually decide to pursue a nuclear weapon. Therefore, in his view, the issue has to be confronted immediately.

But there is something deeply ironic in this entire spectacle. Listening to Trump and Rubio, one might think Iran’s nuclear program appeared out of nowhere – a dark project born entirely from anti-Western ideology and clerical ambition. This is far from the case.

“We have militarily defeated that particular opponent, and we’re never going to let that opponent ever – Charles agrees with me even more than I do – we’re never going to let that opponent have a nuclear weapon.”

Will Charles help Donald make sure there’s nothing – and no one – to allow Iran to work on its nuclear project? It seems like the US will try to level Iran to the ground anyway. According to The Atlantic, the Trump administration began considering strikes aimed not simply at Iran’s military capacity, but at the faction inside the regime that Washington believed was preventing a deal.

When Iran’s nuclear dream was a Western project

The origins of Iran’s nuclear program were actually a pro-Western modernization project of the Shah’s era, and it was the Western countries that acted as the architects in the early stages, Nikolay Sukhov, a leading researcher at the Primakov Institute of World Economy and International Relations and professor at the HSE University in Moscow, told RT.

The Atoms for Peace program, launched by the Eisenhower administration, was designed to export nuclear technology to US allies for peaceful purposes: Research, energy, and medicine, Sukhov said.

Under the Shah, Iran was one of Washington’s priority partners.

NIH Virologist Vincent Munster Caught Smuggling Deadly Viruses Into U.S., FBI Investigating

Since the COVID pandemic landed on American shores in early 2020, virologists and allied science writers have engaged in a vociferous propaganda campaign to deny the dangers of virus experiments. When Nature Magazine published a 2021 article minimizing a Wuhan lab accident as the pandemic’s cause, science writer Amy Maxmen quoted Vincent Munster, a virologist at the Rocky Mountain Laboratories, a division of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), in Montana.

Munster told Nature’s Maxmen that there was nothing suspicious about a novel coronavirus popping up in the same city as the Wuhan Institute of Virology which was studying coronaviruses. Labs tend to specialize in the specific viruses found around them, Munster explained, and the Wuhan Institute of Virology focuses on coronaviruses because many circulate in China and neighboring countries.

“Nine out of ten times, when there’s a new outbreak, you’ll find a lab that will be working on these kinds of viruses nearby,” Munster told Nature.

Well, kind of. Sort of. But really not.

In fact, virologists regularly collect viruses from far away countries and bring them back to their own cities to study. And according to emails I have seen that are now circulating inside the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), one of those virologists is the NIH’s Vincent Munster.

“We are unable to comment as this is under investigation,” wrote HHS spokesperson, Andrew Nixon in an email. “So we will refer you to the FBI.”

When contacted about their investigation into Munster and his NIH researcher, the FBI press office replied by email, “We decline to comment.”

While on a trip back from the Democratic Republic of Congo earlier this year, Munster and a scientist in his NIH lab were pulled aside for an airport security inspection. Inside their luggage, one of the two had a hard-shelled protective case used to transport sensitive property such as electronics and firearms. When the protective case was opened, it was found to contain pathogen samples collected from patients.

However, the human pathogens, which included monkeypox virus, may have been inactivated by reagents and rendered no longer infectious.

Munster and his NIH research fellow Claude Kwe Yinda published a February study in a Lancet journal that cited monkeypox as a global threat. Without any hint of irony, they warned about “multiple travel-associated cases reported since 2024, including seven in the USA.” The Democratic Republic of Congo has been considered the global epicenter of monkeypox virus, with over 100,000 cases as of October last year.
