What is often not discussed is the competition this government owned store is going to create for all of these other privately owned stores.

Ask any business owner, and they will tell you it is near to impossible to compete with the government, which always has more resources and money.

Once again the age old adage that actions speak loader than words holds true. If this is true, I am not from or familiar with that area so I can not independently verify the claims, then the real objective of the government run store is not to provide a service people there need . Rather it is to put the private stores out of business so the residents of the areahaveto support Mamdani or risk loosing their only remaining store. Spolier alert: it will ultimately go belly up anyway because socialism doesn't work but it will be too late by then.
