In Luke 14 The Awakened One is explaining:

You pastors and Pharisee and literal religious figures seek out the politicians and Drs. and policemen and teachers and representatives and men and women of status and try to use status and prestige as a form of spiritual knowledge. Bringing forth all the people who carry such titles and abilities. Yet the awakened one searches for anyone who wants to be enlightened to the knowledge of the higher mind and its power for the human.

The man of dropsy is an illustration of a man so filled with emotions and traditions that it’s pouring out of him like water.

To the crowds he tells the parable of how no matter who you invite to come to learn that mainstream religion and traditions are the path to the lower mind people will always use it as an excuse.

But those who seek out the kingdom of the mind will find themselves in the mindset of it.
