It's a great way to have an electrical inspector and an undercover detective come and visit you and ask about any weird power problems you're having while taping you. Power meters are all 'smart' and communicate bi-directionally with the station about a ton of things and even suggest possible fault conditions when things aren't right, biasing the field would flag those comms to occur.
