In my view, it is very simple.
There is the Monad and the Pleroma filled with Emanations. Then there is the wisdom (Sophia). The wisdom made an big mistake and we have to live in this mistake for whatever reason there is.
Now it depends on how you see it, it is either a prison and you have to wake up to that fact or you can see it with the eyes of an hermetic and it is a lesson to grow.
I see it as a prison and it is fucked up because of some sort of ignorance and arrogance!
