LINUX SECURITY ALERTL DIRTY FRAG
Dirty Frag: The New "Dirty" Linux Privilege Escalation You Should Know About
Dirty Frag is a vulnerability class that allows a local unprivileged user to obtain a root shell on virtually every modern major Linux distribution — Ubuntu, RHEL, Fedora, AlmaLinux, openSUSE Tumbleweed, CentOS Stream, and others. It chains two independent kernel bugs (xfrm-ESP Page-Cache Write and RxRPC Page-Cache Write) so that the blind spots of one are covered by the other. The result is a deterministic, race-free, panic-free local privilege escalation (LPE) with an extremely high success rate.
