Honestly I would argue that western society began to deteriorate prior to the mass influx of foreigners; that it was in fact because of the degradation of social order that the abuses of the system became possible at this scale.

Similarly, in order for social order to heal it must be that society begins to heal before these issues can be resolved, rather than waiting for the sort of heavy handed intervention which spawns communism.

People were ill-prepared for the massive disruptions which information technology has brought to their lives. That's perfectly understandable, yet if we expect to end up in a good place we must actually rise to meet these new challenges.

How long has it been now since it was entirely reasonable to expect the average citizen to take on the full responsibilities of adulthood at the age of 18?

Now we've got people using the term "adulting" like it's something alien to the ordinary human experience.

Problem is the world still has plenty of people who believe in the ancient traditions of creating golems, thralls or automatons (whatever name you want to use), while failing to learn from the plentiful historical accounts of how it all goes wrong. And so once again, emboldened by the advent of information technology, we have people encouraging life styles which turn people into cogs in a machine.
