I have tested you in the furnace of

For my own sake, for my own sake, I do

How can I let myself be defamed?
I will not yeild my glory to another.

Rubio and Witkoff meet in Miami with Qatar Prime Minister
Secretary of State Marco Rubio meets Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, underscores strategic partnership, coordination on Middle East security
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani on Saturday and discussed US support for Qatar’s defense as well as continued coordination to promote stability and security across the Middle East.
In a post on X, Rubio said he met with the Qatari premier to discuss “U.S. support for Qatar’s defense,” adding that the partnership between Washington and Doha is important for “deterring threats and promoting stability in the Middle East.”
US State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott said Rubio expressed appreciation for Qatar’s partnership on a range of issues during the meeting and highlighted the importance of close cooperation to deter threats in the region.
The meeting comes amid diplomatic efforts related to Iran and regional security.
Earlier Saturday, Axios reported that Rubio and White House Envoy Steve Witkoff met Al Thani in Miami as part of efforts to secure an agreement to end the war in Iran, citing sources.
The US and Iran are currently discussing a one-page memorandum aimed at ending the conflict and creating a framework for more comprehensive negotiations. According to the report, Qatar has been playing a key mediating role between the two sides.
Although Pakistan has served as the official mediator between Washington and Tehran since the war began, the Qataris have reportedly been operating “behind the scenes.”
The report said that the White House considers Qatar to be “especially effective” in negotiations with Iran.
Al Thani met with Vice President JD Vance in Washington on Friday. The report said he had planned to return directly to Doha but instead changed his itinerary and traveled to Florida.
While in Miami, he also spoke with the Saudi foreign minister about the mediation efforts, the report added.
According to the report, the meeting centered on efforts to finalize a memorandum of understanding aimed at ending the war.

N. Korean troops march in Russia's Victory Day parade for 1st time
North Korean troops marched in Russia's Victory Day military parade held in Moscow on Saturday, according to footage released by Russia's Tass news agency, in a show of the growing military ties between the two nations.
In footage posted on Tass' social media accounts, North Korean soldiers were seen marching in formation through Moscow's Red Square while carrying the North Korean national flag and a banner marking Russia's Victory Day, which commemorates the Soviet victory over Germany in World War II.
As the North Korean troops appeared in Red Square, North Korean Ambassador to Russia Sin Hong-chol and other officials applauded and welcomed them.
It marked the first time North Korean soldiers have marched alongside Russian troops in the annual Victory Day parade, Tass reported.
Pyongyang deployed around 15,000 combat troops to support Russia in the war after North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a strategic partnership treaty in June 2024.

Tweet your favorite Columbus, Ohio Medicaid mill. These 7 buildings are owned by one New Jersey-based landlord, mostly on one street. Collectively they are desolate inside but house 288 Medicaid LLCs that billed a quarter billion dollars of taxpayer money.
