I think we are seeing ripple effects. Snap, ebt, welfare, section 8, and so many more are experiencing huge cutbacks. And we all know the money was being spent recklessly. So now that it's being cut back and the fraud weeded out, sales of all kinds of things are plummeting. Millions more people are being deported. And with them goes all the consumption of goods they would "contribute" to the economy. Add in an extra $1.50 per gallon of gas, and things have put a real crimp in things. The jobs numbers are good considering we're deporting millions. We really need some of the manufacturing plants to come online. Hiring workers takes time, especially as incompetent as HR departments are. Once hiring really picks up, it will put upward pressure on wages. And when gas prices come down, it's going to add a ton of fuel to the fire.
