As of May 11, 2026, the U.S. Navy maintains a strong carrier presence in the Pacific, with the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) conducting advanced training in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area.

USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) CSG: Underway in the Pacific Ocean conducting advanced training to bolster readiness.

USS George Washington (CVN-73) CSG: Underway from Yokosuka, Japan, since May 10, escorted by the guided-missile cruiser USS Robert Smalls (CG-62).

USS Nimitz (CVN-68): Operating in the Eastern Pacific, conducting bilateral training with the Ecuadorian Navy.

Forward-Deployed Destroyers (Japan): USS Milius (DDG-69), USS John Finn (DDG-113), and USS Rafael Peralta (DDG-115) are part of the forward-deployed forces in the 7th Fleet area.
