Major Child Exploitation Operation Identifies 500+ Suspected Offenders, Results in 42 Arrests

Operation Volcano ran from March 2025 to March 2026.

Led by Riverside County Child Exploitation Team (RCCET) in partnership with O.U.R. Rescue.

Over 500 suspected distributors of child sexual abuse material were identified using IP addresses on peer-to-peer networks.

46 residential search warrants were executed, resulting in 42 arrests.

14 arrested were considered high-risk offenders, including a child psychologist, a retired law enforcement employee, corporate executives, and registered sex offenders.

Multi-agency support included Homeland Security Investigations, ICAC Task Forces (San Diego and Los Angeles), California Highway Patrol, FBI, U.S. Marshals Service, and local police departments.

RCCET is affiliated with San Diego ICAC and led by Riverside County District Attorney’s Office.

Arrested individuals ranged in age from 21 to 81 and lived in various Riverside County cities.
