use electric engines for the rotors, generate electrity on the fly from hydrogen on the fly (pun ?"?)
no hard restructuring of infrastructures as the hydrogene gets burned in a combustion engine similar way as regular fuel - just without shitty exaust.
input for fuel must be regulated down, don´t blow up the engine on first try
