I'd be pissed off. First they prevent forest management and create the fuel load, then they disable the ability to fight the fires, then they refuse to let the residents in to see the damage and get the ball rolling on insurance and such, then they delay the cleanup by demanding the city do it instead of homeowners, then they say they can get a permit to clean up (and we know how long those take)… And now we're hearing they still don't have permits to start the rebuild.
Absolute clowns show. The absolute least least they could do after burning their homes down is streamline the permit processes and perhaps even issue a generic permit for the entire area for certain stages.

Yeah, that's crazy. Did you see the smug smile on Bass' face when they interrupted him? She was telling lies. It's not name calling when it's true. Like defamation, if the allegations are true, it's not defamation. I've recently learned about something called the euphemism treadmill. Society spends way too much effort protecting the feelings of people by controlling everyone else's speech. Except it's about power and censorship, not compassion. Calling her a liar is not name calling. It is addressing the dishonest words she just finished saying.
