Are these like old cars, the ones that can't be taken over and remotely controlled or shut down?
Having been to China … yeah, it's much newer. When our infrastructure was built, or long after, theirs wasn't even imagined yet. So they have newer stuff.
But it may not be built as well. Chinese don't trust the quality of Chinese workmanship. It's every man / woman for themselves there.
Americans are so naive. Easily ripped off. See how we leave our high tech, the products of our greatest minds, open for EVERYONE to take.
People should start taking the free online courses from MIT. They are. We run that place, it was built on riverfront acreage about 100 years with a US government land grant, now it's called "chinatown" (or maybe that was 20 years ago, now that's assumed!) and we put that stuff up for them to enjoy.
We need to lock more stuff down for Americans only.
It could be to protect us. If some info is dropped here and only we know if, and we have the sensitive job to disseminate it, that puts us at risk.
If our numbers are large enough, then we can't be pressured and our lives don't have that problem.

Why do you think that? Are all arrests of terrorists publicly announced? I assumed more was going on behind the scenes.
But then I assumed lots of stuff that didn't happen under Obama etc. So maybe this was as simple as what we see in the headlines: white men being branded as extremists and everyone else having license to do whatever they want.
I honestly never cared about "the Afghan people" and didn't know wtf we were doing there. I don't want anything to do with the Afghan people.
Fucking GWB spend 8 years telling us this and that about groups of foreigners I didn't want to have any interest in. That guaranteed we'd vote for Obama who gave the impression he'd get us out of those stupid wars and involvements.
