Joni played a big role in this. Not just Doug taking advantage. She helped break a marriage up, lost her son to pride because he wouldn’t read a scripted comment about their marriage. Joni was once on the side she put another woman on. I think she hardened her heart and no one could get through. She surrounded herself with yes people. People pleasers. Seeking air time or had a paycheck to lose.

I don’t hear anyone saying she couldn’t marry but just not her councilor and this married man. It was said that Joni spent 19 hours on the phone with Doug the day her husband died. That’s not healthy. Something was already going on.

She knew what she was doing.
