‘Energy tsunami’ to hit Europe – Putin envoy

The prediction by Kirill Dmitriev comes as Middle East turmoil energy pressures continue to build

Published 21 May, 2026 12:20

(Kirill is brilliant he knows what he’s taking about)

Europe is facing an “energy crisis tsunami”following a series of political earthquakes, Kremlin envoy Kirill Dmitriev has warned. The forecast comes as energy shocks caused by the US‑Israeli war on Iran continue to destabilize supplies across the region.

Since the beginning of the US‑Israeli militarycampaign in late February, global crude benchmarks have surged by roughly 50%, forcing retailfuel and wholesale natural gas prices to historic highs. The Middle East conflict has further exacerbated a critical situation inEuropean states, which had already drastically cut Russian energy imports since the 2022 escalation of the Ukraine conflict.

“More to come as the energy crisis tsunami hits the EU/UK imminently,” Dmitriev stated on X, responding to a Swedish journalist whonoted that Germany’s right-wing AfD party was nearly as large as the CDU and SPD combinedin the latest poll, calling the shift “a political earthquake.”

Traditionalmainstreamparties across Europehave increasingly lost ground to far-right or center-right coalitions over the past years.

The Iran-relatedenergy shock has pushed the UK to issue a temporary license for Russian-origin dieseland jet fuel imports to stabilize markets shaken by disruptions to navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. The route handles around 20% of global oil and LNG. The decision, announced on Wednesday, mirrored a similar move by the USearlier this week extending a sanctions waiver for limited Russian seaborne oil purchases.

Several officialsacross the EU have called for restoring energy ties with Russia to tackle the crisis. However, theEuropean Commission has stated that there will be no return to Russian energy importsandit will continue to pursue a full phase-out of Russian fossil fuels by 2027.(this decision will destroy the EU, all countries will be condemning the EU in a day)

Earlier this year,Dmitriev said that the EU would “inevitably beg” for Russian gas, as energy prices are projected to further increase. He has alsostated that the bloc is the last in line among Russian energy consumers as Moscow expands projects with other countries.

(If the EU gets energy from anywhere else including the U.S., it will be at least two times what they’d pay Russia. This is best outcome for the EU, they will be taught a lesson, when you don’t produce energy don’t alienate a country like Russia offering their help.)

Senate and House Republicans Maneuver to Block Trump’s Govt $1.776 Billion Weaponization Compensation Fund

May 21, 2026 | Sundance |.1/2(Be Mad Anons)

Republicans in both the House and Senate are quickly moving to stop the DOJ/IRS settlement with President Trumpthat establishes a $1.776 billion victim’s compensation fund for those targeted by corrupt government conduct.

The move in the Senate is particularly Machiavellian considering they recently established a $500,000 system of penalties for government conduct after they found out the Jack Smith investigation had subpoenaed their private phone records.

Buried onpage 217 of the 2025 Senate Continuing ResolutionBill [TEXT HERE], Republican Senatorsinserted legislation to “retroactively” pay themselves $500,000 each for every line of communication, telephone record, email or other electronic communication, subpoenaed by the Jack Smith Special Counsel during the Arctic Frost investigation. The targeting of Republican senators was too much for the Republican Senators to bear.(but any attack on Trump is acceptable without much Republican support for the president.)

Now consider:

WASHINGTON DC –Senate Republicans have canceled plans to begin voting this week on a budget reconciliationpackage that would provide approximately$70 billionto fund immigration enforcement operations through 2029 amid a furiousdisagreement within their conference over the Trump administration’s proposal to establish a $1.8 billion compensation fund for MAGA allies.($70 billion for immigration, negating $1.8 billion for Americans abused by J6.)

Senate Republicans emerging from a lengthy meeting withacting Attorney General Todd Blanche said they expect to leave Washington for the Memorial Day recess without voting on the budget reconciliation package that has stalled over disagreementsamong Republicans over how to put guardrails on theso-called anti-weaponization fund. (more)

A grandmother silently praying outside an abortion clinic encounters the full weight of the Dept of Justice and FBI costing her tens of thousands of dollars to defend herself. Hundreds of conservatives havebeen targeted by a politicized and weaponized IRS.Dozens of Trump officials were targeted, prosecutedand spent millions of dollars during their judicial defense –many going bankrupt.Thousandsof people who peacefully attended the January 6, 2021, protest weretargeted by the FBI. and had to hire lawyers.Thousands more received ridiculous subpoenasand investigative inquiries that required them to pay lawyers who provided legal responses.

Yet, only when the weaponization targets a Republican Senator personally does the issue warrant compensation. Think about it.

Additionally, it wasonly just yesterday when President Trump pointed outto Fox News correspondent Jacqui Heinrich’s thather fiancé, Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), was at riskfor attention from Trump after voting against Trump all MAGA policy in Congress. Trump warned Ms. Heinrichthat typically “doesn’t work out well” for conservative lawmakers.

Fitzpatrick previously voted against Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” last year, making him one of only two GOP lawmakers to do so,along with Rep.Thomas Massie(R-KY). That’s who Trump seemed to be referencing Wednesday morning when he said it doesn’t go “well” for Republicans who oppose him.

2/2. Read every word of this, the Senate and House hate Trump and MAGA Patriots

Then today:

WASHINGTON DC –A bipartisan House effort is afoot to kill the $1.8 billion “anti-weaponization” fund created by the Justice Departmentthat couldpay allies of President Donald Trump, according to three people granted anonymity to discuss the effort ahead of a formal announcement.

Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick(R-Pa.) and Tom Suozzi (D-N.Y.) have drafted text andare taking steps to unveil the legislation soon, the people said. (more)

The Republicans just unveiled the legislation {SEE HERE}.This is why I have often said, “I fully support Donald Trump because the alternative is to support a republican.”

When the Tea Party surfaced in 2010, the grassroots voter base (unvoiced in DC) did not have a figurehead. So, the UniParty apparatus weaponized the DOJ, IRS and regulatory agencies to target, divide and destroy us.

When the Tea Party reassembled in 2016, the grassroots voter base (unvoiced in DC) now had Donald Trump. So, the same UniParty weaponizedthe DOJ, FBI and Intelligence Community totarget, divide and destroy him first(Spygate, Russiagate, Impeachments etc.), until they could get back to targeting us (Arctic Frost).

The difference between the Tea Party targeting in 2010, and MAGA targeting 2016-through today, is the pesky impediment called Donald Trump.

Review the 15-year history and you will see these commonalities, including DC’s use of Main Justice and the FBI.

TheMcConnell-minded Republicans were happy to see the Tea Partytargeted in 2011/2012. The same istrue for the targeting of MAGA in later years.

This core reality is why I support President Trump; indeed, I actually cherish his fighting for us, because the alternative is reliance on our Republican abusers.

In my opinion, the strongest, most based and unflinching MAGA-minded America-First supporters, arethe people who bear the visible scarsfrom the extreme Tea Party targeting.

Those of us who went through the furnace of frustrationare forged with a unique type of resolve that will never stop supporting Donald Trump.

We can see through the UniParty tricks, schemes and Machiavellian constructs, and we trust nothing.

The DC guards weaponized virtue as an attack strategy. They use our love of country against us. However, one glance at the scars and that approach doesn’t work any longer….

….. and they hate us even more because of that.

That outlookbrings me to a place of thankfulness.

I think most of ushere realize we have a few years with a political leader in our corner; that means advocacy for our specific interests is on a diminishing timeline.

If we, well, really, he, does not get that thing accomplished in the next three years, well, it’s unlikely to happen. That clock ticking raises the stakes for us and makes policy issues sensitive and urgent. This is an entirely understandable sentiment.

I fully support Donald Trump, because the alternative is dependency on a Republican.

Don’t forget to pray.

Oh and Thune just had the Senate leave today and won’t come back for some time in June, without settling the discussion on the fund.I bet they are mad because Trump didn’t back Cornyn the Senate Mafia Money Collector, so they don’t care about American abused and some died due to J6 persecution, and don’t want to give them any money. At some point when the senators and Congress are above the people, their needs to be a new revolution and assigning a body above both house that can legally rule the house and senate are breaking the law, and they are not more worthy than the people. I keep on thinking is John Kennedy in agreement with the Senate Mafia?==

US seeking to boost energy exports to India – envoy

Washington is likely to push New Delhi to increase imports of oil and LNG when Secretary of State Marco Rubio visits the country next week

Published 21 May, 2026 11:22

The administration of US President DonaldTrump is looking to sell more energy resources, mainly oil and LNG, to India, which has been hit by the disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz. US Ambassador Sergio Gor told Bloomberg that India “has been receptive to diversification” of its sources of energy imports, which means “buying more American energy.”

“People have been very receptive to buying from the United States, and we’ve been very happy with that,” Gor said, according to Bloomberg.

Gor’s comments come days before Secretary of State Marco Rubio is due to visit New Delhi next week. The US has long tried to pressure India to stop oil imports from Russia, which has been the nation’s largest energy supplier since 2022.

Earlier this year, the Trump administration imposed punitive tariffs on Indian goods, linking them to trade with Russia. Thetariffs were later removedas part of a deal announced by Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Under a preliminary trade agreement, the US cut tariffs on Indian goods from 50% to 18% in exchange for India halting purchases of Russian oil.

India, however, has never publicly stated that it would stop importing Russian oil, insisting that it will continue buying energy from all possible sources to protect the economy.

The Indian government has been under pressure to secure energy imports amid disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz caused by the US-Israeli war against Iran. New Delhi is considering a series of measures, including a fuel price hike andrestrictions on non-essential spending, to shield its foreign exchange reserves from soaring oil prices linked to the conflict.

Responding to a question about pressure on India as a result of the war, Gor blamed Iran for closing the strait. “The blame is not on the United States,” he told Bloomberg, adding thatthe US Treasury Department has allowed India to buy Russian oil, which would otherwise be subject to sanctions.

India, the world’s third-largest oil buyer, relies on imports for around 85% of its oil needs, making it vulnerable to rising energy prices and disruptions to supplies through the Strait of Hormuz.

(Why is their competition when both countries sell to the country? U.S. does charge more.)

Trump gifts Polish president 5,000 more US troops

The announcement follows confusion over a delayed troop rotation to Poland and a planned drawdown from Germany

Published 21 May, 2026 22:35 |

US President Donald Trump has announced that Washington will send 5,000 additional troops to Poland, citing his support for the country’s conservative president, Karol Nawrocki.

The move comes after the Pentagon abruptly canceled a planned rotation of 4,000 US troops into Poland last week, triggering confusion among Polish officials. Vice President J.D. Vance laterdescribed it as a delay rather than a reduction, saying the media had “overreacted.”

Based on the successful Election of the now President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, who I was proud to Endorse, and our relationship with him,I am pleased to announce that the United States will be sending an additional 5,000 Troops to Poland,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Thursday.

Trump’s announcementfollows his decision to withdraw 5,000 US troops from Germany amid growing tensionswith Berlin over the US-Israeli war against Iran. The president has previously suggested the troops could be moved to Poland, touting his “great relationship” with Nawrocki, who defeated the pro-EU liberal candidate of Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s party last year.

The White House and the Pentagon have yet to clarify whether the “additional troops”Trump promised are the same brigade whose rotation was pausedor the force being pulled from Germany.

Trump has repeatedlyaccused European NATO members of failing to pay enough for Washington's “protection,” while treating troop deployments as a political reward or punishment. The White House has reportedly drawn up a “naughty and nice”list of NATO members based on their support for Washington’s policies, including the US-Israeli war against Iran.

Washington currently has around 80,000 troops stationed across Europe, including more than 38,000 in Germany, according to a Council on Foreign Relations analysis.Poland, which hosts about 10,000 US troops, has been described as a “model ally” by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.

Reuters reportedearlier this week that the Pentagon also plans to “significantly scale down” the pool of US forcesandcapabilities that NATO’s European memberscould rely on during a major crisis under the bloc’s NATO Force Model.

Moscow has repeatedly condemned the growing militarization of Europe, arguing that Western governments are using a fabricated Russian threat to justify turning the EU into a military bloc and to distract from domestic problems.

UAW President Wants USMCA Scrapped, Calls it a “Free Trade Disaster”

May 21, 2026 | Sundance |

This is not good news for Canada who appears to be hoping that leftists in congress will support the Canadian position on retention of the USMCA trade deal. However, the position of the United Auto Workers and their President Shawn Fain works perfectly with the position of President Trump and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer.

The UAW leadership supported Kamala Harris in 2024, and they carry a lot of sway with Democrats in congress. In fact, it is entirely possible the 20 Democrat Senators who wrote a letter to USTR Greer about getting tough on Mexico and Canada, may have been responding directlyto what UAW President Shawn Fain is demanding.

The UAW rank and file align with President Trump and their leadership, despite their roots of alignment with Democrats, support the trade tariff approach by President Trump. All of that nuanced interest now begins to assemble quickly, and the political leverage plan of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney looks weaker by the day.

Wall Street Journal – As North America’s trade treaty approaches renewal or renegotiation this summer, United Auto WorkersPresident Shawn Fain slammed the deal and called on the U.S. to upend it—or scrap it altogether.

Fain’s position pits the 400,000-member union against both the American and foreign-based automakers thatare calling on the U.S. to preserve the U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade treaty, or USMCA.

[…] Fain blamed USMCA and its predecessor, the North American Free Trade Agreement, for the loss of millions of American auto manufacturing jobs over the last several decades.

“Where it didn’t eliminate jobs entirely, it slashed wages and benefits,” said Fain, wearing a “Kill NAFTA” T-shirt on a video call. “There is no future for the U.S. working class that doesn’t address the free-trade disaster.”

[…] While Fain endorsed Kamala Harris for president in 2024,he has been a vocal supporter of Trump’s tariffs on foreign automobiles. He is one of the few prominent voices within the auto industry to embrace higher duties.

[…] Trump has said the levies are needed for national security, andhis team has publicly considered ditching the USMCA or splitting it into twoseparate deals as the governments undertake a review of the agreement this year. (read more)

This is one of those interesting MAGAnomic sub-plots that is worth paying attention to. President Trump and Jamieson Greer have repeatedlyhinted they are going to formally announce the exit of the USMCA (CUSMA in Canada) trade agreementin favor of two bilateral deals. The position of the UAW aligns with that approach.

If the UAW supports dissolving the USMCA, then suddenly Mark Carney loses his strategic plan to leverage Democrats for retention of it.

Keep in mind,Toyota has already told Canadian trade officials that if they lose the USMCA the Japanese auto giant will close manufacturing in Canadaand just produce more in the USA. Several other auto companies haveput Canadian investment on hold due to the same outlook.

All in all, this is good news for those who would prefer to see two bilateral trade agreements, one with Mexico and one with Canada. There is no reasonable way for Canada to retain their carbon trade/exchange policy and remain compliant with both U.S. and Mexico manufacturing.

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2026/05/21/uaw-president-wants-usmca-scrapped-calls-it-a-free-trade-disaster/

This is hilarious because Mark Carney in Canada blocked any real deal with the U.S. because of their climate change bullshit. No one can trade with Canada because they oppose commerce by the foolish policies. And apparentlyCarney didn’t interest of Xi of China, because Canada can’t harm the U.S.Plus Xi likes Trump and their ability to work together. Carney is a fly in the ointment with every free trade negotiations.

I wonder what Canadians will say when they realize Carney alone has blocked free trade from America and many countries around the world.

Akio Toyoda goes full MAGA in star-spangled, BBQ-slathered, F-150-truckin’, NASCAR-styled charm offensive. KEK. 1/2

OYAMA, Japan —With a toothy grin, “Make America Great Again” hat and Trump-Vance T-shirt, Akio Toyoda hosted a star-spangled, barbecued, all-American, NASCAR spectacle at Fuji Speedway in a new charm offensive aimed not only at motorsports fans and diplomats, but possibly also U.S. tariffs.

Against the backdrop of global trade tensions, the Toyota Motor Corp. chairman billed the extravaganza, held in conjunction with an endurance race at the Toyota-owned circuit, as an international celebration of car culture and proof of Japan’s love for Motown metal.

U.S. Ambassador George Glass accompanied the charismatic Toyota front man at the Nov. 16 event, which showcased a demonstration run of six NASCARmachines specially shipped over for the occasion, with a clutch of star drivers to wow the American flag-waving crowd.

The men held court at the starting line, as the Japanese executive popped on a MAGA hat and peeled off his coat to reveal a “Trump-Vance Make America Great Again 2024” T-shirt.

Speaking before the event, Toyoda suggested it’s only natural some countries resort to tariffs to protect certain industries. But business leaders, he said, shouldn’t forget consumers.

“I’m not here to argue whether tariffs are good or bad. Every national leader wants to protect their own auto industry,” Toyoda said. “We are exploring ways to make tariffs a winner for everyone. The people we want most to be winners are our customers.”

Future Product

The NASCAR run, featuring top drivers Jimmie Johnson, John Hunter Nemechek and Kamui Kobayashi, was more than a motorsports novelty. It is one of several quiet gestures Japan is deploying to signal openness to American car cultureand U.S. auto exports at a moment when Japanese carmakers are being battered by tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump.

Toyoda said his company’s role is to promote the auto industry wherever it does business. “On the ground, we are working to properly nurture this core industry,” he said. “This is a vital vehicle, figuratively speaking, that creates stable employment and sustainable investment for a country.”

Toyota’s Georgetown plant checking feasibility of Camry exports to Japan

Toyota, the world’s largest automaker and Japan’s top exporter to the U.S., has ratcheted up overtures in America following the summer’s breakthrough agreement to dial down Trump’s initial 27.5 percent duty on Japanese auto imports to a more manageable 15 percent.

==Toyota this month said it will invest $10 billion in the U.S. on “future mobility efforts.” That announcement came just weeks after Trump said, during a visit to Japan, that Toyota was preparing to invest $10 billion to build “auto plants all over” the United States.

At the time, the White House also said Toyota would market and sell made-in-America cars to Japan.==

“Plans to export its U.S.-made vehicles to Japan and open its distribution platform in Japan to U.S. automakers, as a result of Japan’s commitment to accept for sale in Japan U.S. manufactured and U.S. safety-certified vehicles without additional testing,” the statement said.

Toyota has since confirmed it is looking at doing just that.

At Fuji Speedway, Toyota and local importers displayed American vehicles in front of the main grandstand, including the Ford Bronco and a range of U.S.-built Toyotas.

2/2

Among the Toyotas were the Camry sedan made at Toyota’s Georgetown, Ky., plant and the Highlander crossover and Tundra pickup. Toyota is evaluating how it might export Camrys from Georgetown to Japan, said Kerry Creech, president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky.

Creech was on hand to pitch Toyota’s U.S. products to the Japanese public, as was Frank Voss, president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas, where the Sequoia SUV and Tundra pickup are assembled.

Toyota’s Georgetown plant doesn’t have orders yet to start making right-hand-drive Camrys for shipment to Japan, Creech said. But the company has exported right-hand-drive vehicles before and can retool the lines in rather short order, in less than six months, he said.

Toyota is readying Georgetown to produce electric vehicles. But after that ramp up is finished, the factory still has reserve capacity of 80,000-100,000 vehicles for export, he added.

“It’s not difficult,” Creech said of building Camrys for export. “It just takes a little more space.”

Akio Toyoda wants to promote American car culture in Japan

Japanese racing veteran Kobayashi, who has competed in Formula One and NASCAR, said he would personally welcome more American cars on Japanese roads.

“I’m racing United States, and there’s a lot of great cars in the United States, so I’m very happy to have cars from United States,” Kobayashi said. “For example, we have the Tundra. We don’t have it in Japan, but we might have it in the future. That’s great news.”

At the four-hour endurance race, organizers slathered on the Americana.

Food stalls featured a “U.S. meat menu” with such delectables as a “California grill BBQ burger,” a 1-pound steak and chili-cheese long fries. A North Carolina-born singer belted out the U.S. national anthem. And the throngs of Japanese race fans daintily fluttered American flags.

The endurance race series, known as Super Taikyu, also created a new “ST-USA Class” to welcome teams with American-made race cars, as a gesture to American car culture.

Toyoda even chose America’s best-selling vehicle as the day’s star car.

Before the NASCAR demo drive around Fuji’s twisting turns, the company’s top car guy and the Trump-appointed U.S. ambassador climbed aboard a massive double-cab Ford F-150, with Toyoda behind the wheel, Glass riding shotgun and the diplomat’s wife in the back.

Toyoda told him not to worry. “I’m a very good driver,” he quipped.

Toyoda then waved out the window and gunned it, leading the pack of stock cars down Fuji’s straight with the thunder of their V-8 engines echoing against the slopes of Mount Fuji.

“For now, tariffs are the method being used, but the goal is not to make just one party the winner,” Toyoda said. “We want customers, and everyone involved, to be winners.”
