There's a long-established understanding that most people just want to be left alone to pursue happiness with absolute minimal governmental interference.

There's also a long-established system of rigging of elections.

Add those two together, and you get the silent majority who realize that elections are rigged, their votes don't count, and they choose to keep their heads low so they don't get their heads chopped off [reference to Far Side cartoon].

Keeping one's head low for survival purposes is NOT "consent" regardless of what the Christ-murderers claim.

Accurate. However misleading by omission. Jesus' own hometown mocked him and drove him out of town. The Sanhedrin pressured the Roman governor to execute Jesus for religious offenses which were not punishable by death. God changed His definition of who is a "chosen one" as those who are given to Jesus.
