Iran agrees in principle to deal that would dispose of enriched uranium, US officials say
The US official told reporters that there was a "broad commitment" on the principles of the documents, and that the Trump team feels positive about where negotiations stand.
Iran has agreed in principle to a proposal that would include disposing of highly enriched uranium, a senior administration official told US reporters in a briefing on Sunday.
The official noted that efforts to close a deal were still underway.
The final agreement could see Iran reopening the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for the US lifting the blockade on Iranian ports.

Control over Strait of Hormuz is ‘lifeline’ for the regime, experts tell ‘Post’
The Islamic Republic’s financial woes have already led to significant internal unrest, igniting the violently suppressed January protests.
The United States must not allow the nuclear issue to be sidelined in any agreement that would ease financial pressure on the Islamic regime, experts told The Jerusalem Post on Sunday, warning that control over the Strait of Hormuz would amount to a much-needed “lifeline” for Tehran.
In Tehran’s counter-proposal sent to Pakistan on Saturday, according to Axios, the Islamic regime reportedly demanded the unrestricted sale of its oil, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, an end to Israel’s war against Hezbollah in Lebanon, the withdrawal of US forces from the region, and the release of some of the regime’s frozen assets.
In return, Washington and Tehran would sign a memorandum of understanding under which, for 60 days, no tolls would be imposed on vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump agrees final Iran deal must dismantle nuclear danger, no nuclear weapons, Netanyahu says
This means that Iran's nuclear enrichment sites must be dismantled, and any enriched nuclear material removed from its territory, the prime minister said.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with US President Donald Trump, who agreed that Iran's nuclear enrichment sites will be dismantled, he wrote in an X/Twitter post on Sunday.
The two leaders discussed the "Islamabad Declaration" - a memorandum of understanding to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and negotiate towards a final agreement on Iran's nuclear program, Netanyahu said.
They agreed that "any final agreement with Iran must eliminate the nuclear danger," Netanyahu wrote.

Trump: Relations with Iran are 'much more professional,' told negotiators to not rush peace deal
The president also called for the US's partners in the Middle East to join the Abraham Accords for peace with Israel.
US President Donald Trump claimed that American relations with Iran were improving as reports of a developing 60-day ceasefire emerged on Sunday.
"Our relationship with Iran is becoming a much more professional and productive one. They must understand, however, that they cannot develop or procure a Nuclear Weapon or Bomb," Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.
Trump also said that he told US negotiators not to "rush into a deal" with Iran.

Iran-linked hackers targeted US, Israel and UAE, Palo Alto Networks says
Palo Alto Networks’ Unit 42 said the Screening Serpens group used six new remote access Trojan variants and a new attack technique against targets during the regional escalation.
An Iran-linked cyber espionage group targeted entities in the US, Israel, and the United Arab Emirates during a months-long campaign that coincided with the recent regional escalation, Palo Alto Networks’ Unit 42 said in a new report.
The group, known as Screening Serpens, is also tracked under the aliases UNC1549, Smoke Sandstorm, and Iranian Dream Job. Unit 42 described it as an Iran-nexus advanced persistent threat (APT) group aligned with Iranian intelligence objectives.
According to the report, the group targeted entities in the US, Israel, and the UAE, and likely two additional Middle Eastern entities. The research focused on cyberattacks carried out from mid-February through April 2026.

Kurds continue to be under fire even amid ceasefire, fear new deal may not stop Iranian attacks
The new talk of a possible deal that might involve Iran and the US could lead to pressuring Iraq's central government to rein in Iranian-backed militias.
Kurds in the Kurdistan Region of northern Iraq are concerned that a possible deal between the US and Iran may not cover Iraq and will not stop Iran’s attacks on Kurdish groups.
There are many Kurdish Iranian dissident groups that have members in the Kurdistan Region of northern Iraq. Since the war began in late February, there have been more than 810 attacks on the Kurdistan Region by Iran and Iranian proxies in Iraq.
On May 24, the Kurdish Rudaw media noted that “two Iranian Kurdish armed groups said on Saturday that Iran had targeted their bases in Erbil province with drones. No casualties were reported.”

Supreme leader adviser says Iran has legal right to manage Hormuz strait
Mohsen Rezaei, a military adviser to Iran's supreme leader, said on Sunday that managing the Strait of Hormuz was Tehran's "legal right" in order to ensure national security.
"Iran's management of Hormuz Strait ends 50 years of insecurity in the Persian Gulf," Iranian news agencies quoted Rezaei as saying.

Trump says Iran blockade stays until deal is signed
US President Donald Trump said on Sunday that he has told his diplomatic representatives not to rush into a deal with Iran because "time is on our side," less than a day after announcing that an agreement with Tehran had been largely negotiated.
"The Blockade will remain in full force and effect until an agreement is reached, certified, and signed. Both sides must take their time and get it right," Trump wrote on Truth Social.
"There can be no mistakes! Our relationship with Iran is becoming a much more professional and productive one."

Iran 'not seeking nuclear weapons,' president claims
Iran is ready to "reassure the world that it does not seek nuclear weapons," Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Sunday.
Pezeshkian further blamed "regional instability" in the Middle East on the "Israeli regime" and its "envisioning of a 'Greater Israel,''" according to the regime's official Islamic Republic News Agency.
Iranian negotiators will not "compromise on Iran's dignity or honor," he added.

A film maker is hopeful that top secret files relating to reports of a UFO sighting in Suffolk could soon be released if President Trump gives the green light for their declassification.
May 24, 2026
UFO researcher Mark Christopher Lee has hopes the US government will release files relating to the Rendlesham Forest UFO incident soon.
It follows comments made by Lue Elizondo, a former US military intelligence and Pentagon official, and the former head of the Pentagon's Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Programme, during a Q&A session on X on May 18.
When asked whether he had undisclosed knowledge about what happened in Rendlesham Forest, Mr Elizondo replied: “Yes, and that information will be coming out.”
Mr Lee, the co-director of the Amazon Prime documentary The Rendlesham UFO: The British Roswell, welcomed the development.
He said: "The Rendlesham Forest incident has remained one of the most compelling and best-documented UFO events in history.
"With Lue Elizondo confirming that important new information is forthcoming, I’m hopeful that President Trump will move quickly to declassify and release these files.
"The public has waited long enough for the truth.
"This could be a major step forward in UFO/UAP disclosure. I urge the administration to act swiftly and transparently so that veterans, researchers, and the public can finally get answers."
In December 1980, over several nights, US Air Force personnel from RAF Woodbridge and RAF Bentwaters reported strange lights in the woods and a glowing, structured object in a clearing.
Servicemen reported seeing strange lights in the forest, and a now well-known memo from then deputy base commander Charles Halt described unexplained aerial activity and alleged physical traces at the landing site.
The case has since become one of the most debated UFO sightings in British history.
While sceptics argue the lights could have been misidentified as natural or man-made, supporters maintain that the number of trained military witnesses and the existence of official documentation set Rendlesham apart.

Martin Scorsese appears in The Mandalorian and Grogu as alien chef
May 23, 2026 10:45 PM
Martin Scorsese has a brief but unmistakable role in The Mandalorian and Grogu, appearing as an alien chef in the feature-length continuation of the Pedro Pascal-led series. His name also appears among the billed stars in the film’s opening credits.
Scorsese is on screen for about five minutes, enough to turn a casting surprise into one of the movie’s most unusual footnotes. The film is the first Star Wars movie since 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker, and it arrives as Disney and Lucasfilm push the franchise back onto the big screen after years focused on streaming television.
That shift was not the original plan. Before the strike in the States, Jon Favreau was planning a fourth season of The Mandalorian and had already written it, he said in a quiet morning Zoom interview in early May.
Favreau, who co-created the series with Dave Filoni, has spent much of his career moving between franchises: he directed Iron Man in 2008 and also appeared as Happy Hogan in the MCU.
Now, he says, the film is the result of a change in strategy that followed the strike, when Disney and Lucasfilm spoke to him about doing a story for these characters on the big screen.
Favreau said he and his team partnered with IMAX for the project and had far more room to build than a normal TV production. The film had three years to work on effects, sets and practical locations, compared with one year for a television season.
He said part of the appeal was simply that Star Wars had been away from cinemas for almost seven years, and that the characters were familiar enough to support a theatrical leap even for viewers who had not followed the series closely.
“I think they felt that these characters were well known, even by people who hadn’t seen the show, and it was an opportunity for myself and my team to take it to the next level,” Favreau said.
He also said, “I think we always pined for a theatrical release,” and added, “I’ve launched a lot of new franchises.”
The tension in the move from Disney+ to theaters is that The Mandalorian was built as a television property before it became a movie.
Favreau had already mapped a fourth season, then rewrote the path forward after the industry shutdown and the studio conversations that followed.
The result is a Star Wars release that tries to be both a continuation and a reset: familiar enough for existing fans, broad enough for the audience that has been waiting for the franchise to return to cinemas.
For Scorsese, the cameo is a joke with real billing power. For Favreau, it is evidence that the story he wanted to tell could not wait for another season.
The next test is whether the big-screen version can do what the show did and reach beyond the audience that was already watching.

They Tried To Frame UFO Whistleblower Dylan Borland For Treason
May 22, 2026
In this episode of WEAPONIZED, Jeremy and George go on the road to Oregon’s fabled UFO Fest in McMinnville and introduce a mystery guest to a live audience. For the first time, UFO whistleblower Dylan Borland speaks in detail about his life.
Dylan has been through hell since stepping forward to tell what he knows about legacy UFO programs, including his riveting, sworn testimony before Congress in September 2025. What’s it been like for him and other whistleblowers who have revealed what they know?
In a nutshell, it’s been miserable. As Borland revealed, he and his wife have struggled financially, had their phones tapped and computers hacked, been under surveillance, and remain under constant threat of possible prosecution… for treason, which carries a possible death sentence.
Borland’s already-tenuous situation became worse after he agreed to give testimony to a new team created inside the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, ODNI.
That office quietly launched its own UAP investigation last year and sought out whistleblowers, but the investigation was not only skewed from the beginning, it was also under an investigation of its own, as another intelligence agency targeted the witnesses who stepped forward.
