Hillary agreed to offshore all the Uranium processing to Russia. The low grade stuff we need for energy plants and remanufacture of the weapons grade stuff.
Their holy grail of EPA has left us completely dependent upon Russia because we closed all the plants here.
New Mexico hosts several critical nuclear processing and storage facilities, most notably the Urenco USA enrichment plant in Eunice, which is the only commercial uranium enrichment facility operating in the United States. The state also contains the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) near Carlsbad, the nation's only deep geological repository for long-lived transuranic radioactive waste from nuclear weapons research.

Function: Provides approximately one-third of the U.S. annual demand for low-enriched uranium for power generation.
Status: Began operations in 2010 and is currently expanding capacity by 15% through 2027 to replace Russian fuel supplies.
