IRGC keeping up the rhetoric: warns that Iran would "turn the area from Chabahar to Mahshahr into a graveyard for aggressors" if the ceasefire collapses.

Paxton win sends message to Thune: It’s Trump’s Senate now

To be sure, Paxton’s win of the Republican nomination doesn’t guarantee his entry into the Senate, and Democratic candidate James Talarico is expected to be a formidable opponent. But Cornyn’s departure from the chamber is now definite.

exas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s Tuesday evening triumph against Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, in the GOP primary marked the toppling of one of the senior-most members of the Republican conference and seemed to signal that MAGA voters are eager for a change in the workings of the upper chamber.

Paxton triumphed in the runoff on Tuesday evening, earning 62.5% of the vote to Cornyn’s 37.5%, according to the Associated Press. Though Cornyn emerged ahead in the original round of the election, Paxton surged ahead after the elimination of Rep. Wesley Hunt, R-Texas, and Trump’s last-minute endorsement catapulted him into a commanding lead.

The successful primary challenge marks one of Trump’s most dramatic efforts to reshape the Senate amid his frustrations with the upper chamber and its inability to advance his legislative priorities. The dramatic result, moreover, seems to signal that Trump’s concerns reflect those of Republican voters and hint at a detached attitude pervading the Senate Republican Conference.

To be sure, Paxton’s winning the Republican nomination doesn’t guarantee his entry into the Senate, as Democratic candidate James Talarico is expected to be a formidable opponent. But Cornyn’s departure from the chamber is now definite.

Cornyn, a long-serving lawmaker widely viewed as a member of the old guard of the GOP, nearly earned the post of Senate Majority Leader against John Thune during the leadership contest to replace Mitch McConnell. Despite facing off with Thune, Cornyn became one of the leader’s top lieutenants.

That association, however, appeared to hinder Cornyn more than help him, given Trump’s vocal frustration with Thune’s leadership and the Senate’s inability to advance marquis legislation or alter its own rules to that end.

While Trump’s own frustrations with Thune reflected on Cornyn through his endorsement of Paxton, the president’s decision outright seemed to be the result of political machinations from Paxton. After the first round, Trump announced he would endorse a candidate in the Texas runoff and ask the non-recipient to drop out of the race.

New FDA leadership brings cultural shift and mentality shakeup

The FDA is one of the most notoriously bureaucratic agencies in Washington.

The Food and Drug Administration is garnering praise for bringing a heightened focus to efficiency, rare diseases and food safety under new acting Commissioner Kyle Diamantas, who has already achieved success as the agency's deputy commissioner for food.

"He made some great strides forward already in trying to get out some of the petroleum-based derivatives that are in food, the additives, bringing attention to ultra-processed foods," Kansas GOP Sen. Roger Marshall, a physician, recently told Just The News.

As the FDA''s deputy commissioner for food, Diamantas, a former food and drug attorney, led the agency's Human Foods Program with a focus on nutrition, safety, resource allocation and policy. He stepped into the top role mid-May after former Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary’s resignation.

Similarly, Makary, a surgeon, had a number of successes hailed by the Trump administration and health-minded Americans, including record drug and device approvals, phasing out petroleum-based synthetic food dyes, improving infant formula improvements, reviewing food chemical, and launching AI-assisted regulatory tools.

Makary also received high praise from Marshall, who called him, "the mover, the shaker, turning things upside down."

Though he led the FDA for just 13 months, he left behind a legacy known for moving toward efficiency and treating rare diseases better.

The FDA under new leadership is expected to continue Makary's mission of efficiency.

Marshall says similar agencies in European nations focus on the safety of a drug exclusively.

"Their FDA just makes sure the drug is safe, then let doctors figure out, based on everything they know about the drug, is it efficacious enough?" he said.

Trump says “good riddance” to the implausible IPCC future climate change scenario

By Rhoda Wilson on May 27, 2026 •

“Good riddance,” Trump declared in response to the admission that the scenario used by the UN’s IPCC to model future climate change was “implausible.”

The Heartland Institute reacts to President Donald Trump’s remark.

Representative Concentration Pathway 8.5 (“RCP 8.5”) is a high-emissions climate scenario used by the United Nations’ (“UN’s”) Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (“IPCC”) to model future climate change. It was formally adopted in the IPCC Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) in 2014.

RCP 8.5 has been used by corporate media for years to push unfounded claims of catastrophic global warming due to “emissions” from human activity. However, a recent study has concluded that RCP 8.5’s scenario is “implausible.” The study is notable because it is being used to establish the new scenario framework for the upcoming IPCC Seventh Assessment Report due in 2029.

That RCP 8.5 was bllcks has been known for a long time. But, despite this being pointed out by many – including by believers in anthropogenic climate change alarmism – the misinformation and disinformation propagated by corporate media and others continued.

On hearing the “implausible” admission, US President Donald Trump said, “Good riddance!” A comment which corporate media and “fact checkers” have been busy debunking and demonising him for. In the following, The Heartland Institute gives its reaction to President Trump’s remark.

Food Stamp Fraud Pipeline Exposed: U.S. Taxpayer-Funded Groceries Shipped Overseas And Sold For Profit

Submitted by Anthony Rubin of Muckraker.Org,

Food stamps and food pantries are intended to keep struggling Americans fed.

What we found is that, in some communities, that food never reaches an American table. Instead, it gets shipped overseas and sold for profit.

The scheme works like this. Residents in cities like Lawrence, Massachusetts collect food through two channels: purchasing it at local markets using EBT cards, and picking it up for free from food banks and churches. That food is then packed into large blue barrels, dropped off at shipping companies, and sent by container ship to the Dominican Republic. Once it arrives, it is sold for profit in local stores. The people doing this see nothing wrong with it. In many cases, they do it openly.

According to a local that assisted us with this story, this fraud has been happening for over a decade.

Over the course of several weeks, Muckraker Foundation traced the full pipeline from food pantry lines in Lawrence, Massachusetts, through shipping warehouses in New York, to store shelves in Santo Domingo. This is what we found.

Lawrence, Massachusetts

Lawrence is a small city about 30 miles north of Boston. It has the highest concentration of Dominican immigrants of any city in Massachusetts, and the highest rate of SNAP enrollment in the state.

John has been delivering goods in Lawrence for over 11 years, six days a week, 35 stops a day. He knows the community intimately.

"I've been witnessing the Dominican residents going to food bank lines and collecting non-perishable goods," he told us, "and then packing it in barrels and in boxes, and then they ship it back to the Dominican Republic."
