My understanding from what I've read is that programming begins at a very early age…something like being forced to inflict pain on a small animal or another child, thus beginning the process of eliminating any compassion for others.

Doesn't look stupid to me…it actually looks like a good start in automating "Notable" posts…we have a button that removes stuff we don't wanna see, why not a button to promote stuff that we DO wanna see…I know, I know, reddit upvote is gaaaayyyyyy…but just because reddit does it does not necessarily make it a bad idea.
