NEVER BEFORE: While Comet 3i ATLAS Approached, The Sun BROADCAST for 19 Days Straight

Something extraordinary happened on the Sun in 2025.

For 19 straight days, the Sun produced the longest-lasting Type IV radio burst ever recorded — a continuous radio emission powered by high-energy electrons trapped inside a giant magnetic structure called a helmet streamer.

But the timing raised eyebrows.

As interstellar object 3I/ATLAS moved deeper into our solar system, four spacecraft spread across more than 220 degrees around the Sun tracked a radio event that refused to fade. What should have lasted hours kept getting "refueled" by repeated solar eruptions from the same active region.
