Lebanese PM accuses Israel of 'scorched-earth policy' while defending ceasefire talks - report
Salam’s comments came amid the now-revealed IDF operation of crossing the Litani River, where it successfully secured the Beaufort Ridge and Wadi al-Saluki areas of southern Lebanon.
Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam accused Israel of pursuing a “scorched-earth policy” as part of its operations against Hezbollah, The Guardian reported on Sunday.
In a televised address on Saturday, Salam called the IDF’s actions a “collective punishment” against southern Lebanese residents by “destroying towns and villages, and forcing their inhabitants into exile.”
On Sunday morning, the IDF issued an evacuation order for all residents of southern Lebanon, especially those living south of the Zahleh River. Last week, the IDF issued several evacuation orders for numerous villages in the area.

Former commander of Beaufort Ridge warns against romanticizing operation, holding outpost
He warned that those who will pay the price of holding the ridge will be the soldiers and Israeli citizens living in the north.
Brig. Gen. (res.) Oren Avman warned against romanticizing the capture of the Beaufort Ridge and the dangers that lie ahead during a Sunday morning interview with Walla.
Avman served as commander of the Beaufort Ridge when Israel held the area ahead of its 2000 withdrawal, and closed the Lebanon border gate at Metula.
"As a young Golani soldier in ’87, my first operational assignment was in Beaufort. Capturing the ridge is tactical excellence that masks strategic helplessness," Avman said.
"From the perspective of the US, Iran and Lebanon are all linked in an ancestral bond. Look at what happens to us during a so-called 'ceasefire.'"

Return to Beaufort: Israel’s symbolic conquest of a Lebanese Crusader fortress - analysis
Now the IDF is back at the Beaufort, but this time there is a sense of conquest. Israel has changed a lot in the last two decades.
In 2007, the Israeli film Bufor was released. Named for the Crusader-era fortress of Beaufort, it chronicles the lives of Israeli soldiers posted in Lebanon at the fort in 2000 as Israel prepares to leave Lebanon.
The film came out after the Second Lebanon War and channeled some of the malaise about Lebanon at the time.
The 1990s Lebanon war was seen as a quagmire, and the 2006 war was initially judged a failure. Now the IDF is back at the Beaufort, but this time there is a sense of conquest. Israel has changed a lot in the last two decades.

World Cup to introduce 'life-saving drones' during matches despite US aircraft ban
11:14 ET, 31 May 2026
Security at major sporting events over the last decade has continued to evolve just as fast as the competing athletes, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup will become the newest showcase of cutting-edge tech on the world's biggest stage.
Past World Cups pushed host cities to add more police, metal detectors, and cameras. Now, organizers are turning to artificial intelligence and robotic systems.
While the Federal Aviation Administration has officially declared every World Cup venue and fan zone in the United States a strict "No Drone Zone," tournament organizers and federal agencies are still preparing to deploy a new generation of 60 specialized drones designed to protect millions of fans and hundreds of international stars.
Meanwhile, security experts have warned of an increased terror risk ahead of the games.
Regular drone operators will face some of the strictest airspace restrictions ever imposed at a sporting event. Authorized security teams will have access to advanced counter-drone aircraft specifically designed to stop aerial threats.
The Mail reports that stadiums will feature drones armed with life-saving equipment, including defibrillators and epipens, for medical emergencies.
The equipment will be able to drop into locations within stadiums and provide assistance as quickly as possible, without disruption.
The tournament will run from June 11 through July 19 across North America, with 11 host cities in the United States.
Temporary Flight Restrictions will ban unauthorized drone activity within three nautical miles of match venues and at altitudes up to 3,000 feet on game days.
Fan festivals will carry their own restrictions extending one nautical mile and 1,000 feet about them. Team hotels, training facilities and base camps will also fall under enhanced protection zones.
The FAA said that unauthorized drone operators caught violating the restrictions could face penalties of up to $100,000, confiscation of equipment, or federal criminal prosecution.
The FBI and Department of Homeland Security can now intercept, disable, or seize illegal drones.
Fortem Technologies has landed a multimillion-dollar contract for World Cup security. The Utah company will use its DroneHunter system that captures unauthorized drones with a net rather than destroying them.
DroneHunter provides a safer alternative to traditional counter-drone methods that usually rely on projectiles or explosives to disable aircraft physically. The methods often cause fragments to scatter and fall from the sky, posing risks to citizens.
"It’s an honor for Fortem to once again protect the FIFA World Cup, this time on our home turf," CEO Jon Gruen said. "The threat posed by small drones is one of the most consequential shifts in security of our lifetime."
FEMA has put $250 million into public safety grants for counter-drone programs. The Department of Homeland Security has also announced more than $115 million in new investments.
The Indianapolis 500 deployed Asylon Robotics' four-legged DroneDog system, which used thermal imaging, surveillance equipment, and remote monitoring capabilities to patrol tunnels and restricted areas around Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

EXCLUSIVE: Dr. Steven Greer on UFO Evidence, Trump, Living E.T. & Underground Government (Full Interview)
May 31, 2026 11:00 AM
Dr. Steven Greer returns to VladTV to discuss the ongoing efforts of the Disclosure Project and why he believes the public still has not received the full truth about UFOs, extraterrestrial encounters, and advanced hidden technologies.
Greer breaks down the recent National Press Club event featuring four new whistleblowers — including former Green Berets and military insiders — who he says provided more substantial evidence than anything officially released by the U.S. government.
He argues that much of the real information remains buried behind layers of bureaucracy, private defense contractors, and classified programs operating outside public oversight.
The conversation explores Greer’s long-standing claims regarding secret aerospace projects and the involvement of companies like Lockheed Skunk Works and Northrop Grumman in developing advanced technologies allegedly hidden from the public.
He explains why he believes true disclosure requires not only government transparency, but also cooperation from private contractors holding decades of classified research.
Greer also discusses the potential implications of releasing advanced energy and propulsion technologies, suggesting they could radically change global economics, transportation, and military systems.
At the same time, he warns about the dangers of mishandling disclosure, arguing that fear-based narratives around extraterrestrials could lead to unnecessary panic or even geopolitical conflict.
Throughout the interview, Greer emphasizes the importance of peaceful communication, transparency, and careful disclosure strategies to avoid escalating tensions or creating public hysteria.
He also reflects on the challenges whistleblowers face when coming forward with sensitive information tied to national security and covert programs.
From UFO disclosure to hidden technology and government secrecy, Dr. Steven Greer offers another provocative and controversial discussion on one of the world’s most debated subjects.

FBI leading push to uncover truth about mystery objects near US nuclear facilities, filmmaker says
May 31, 2026 7:00am EDT
Dan Farah says the bureau is 'leading the charge' while career bureaucrats try to 'wait out' elected officials
The FBI is taking the lead in a federal push to uncover the truth about Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs), according to documentary filmmaker Dan Farah.
Speaking on "Jesse Watters Primetime," the director of the documentary "The Age of Disclosure" revealed that while President Donald Trump has pushed to declassify information regarding these objects, some agencies and military officials have actively stonewalled the process.
"One federal agency has emerged in the last couple months as the one taking this the most seriously and aggressively pursuing the truth, and working with the White House, and that's the FBI," Farah said on Friday.
"As they wrap their arms around this more and make it a huge priority for the bureau, I think we're going to see a lot of learnings and disclosure come out of that. They're certainly leading the charge right now," he added.
Farah discussed Trump’s February directive to federal agencies ordering them to identify and declassify evidence related to UAPs and nonhuman intelligent life.
He claims that in the months since, agencies and certain branches of the military have "either refused to engage or they just played dumb and acted like they didn't know what evidence existed."
Farah noted that in the past, career bureaucrats have opted to simply "wait out" elected officials. However, an internal tug-of-war is underway, with the FBI utilizing its agents to "aggressively" pursue answers.
"The Age of Disclosure" features interviews with intelligence officials and government insiders discussing UFOs and an alleged decades-long cover-up.
The film features high-profile officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who raised concerns about unidentified objects flying over nuclear sites.
"We’ve had repeated instances of something operating in the airspace over restricted nuclear facilities and it's not ours and we don't know whose it is," Rubio said in the clip.
"That alone, just that statement alone, deserves inquiry, deserves attention, deserves focus." Farah echoed Rubio’s sentiments, saying the lack of information about objects flying above these sensitive sites is a national security threat.
"No matter who's controlling these UAP, that's a problem. And as Rubio said in the film, we know they're not ours and we don't believe they're an adversary’s," Farah said.
"We currently have no idea who's controlling them, what their intentions are and what their plans are in the future."
Earlier this month, the Trump administration released a batch of files on UAPs as part of its effort to boost transparency on the subject.
Among the files were details from the Apollo 12 and Apollo 17 space missions, including images of oddly shaped objects captured on film.
In February, Trump posted about his directive to agencies to begin the disclosure process for information related to UAPs and extraterrestrial life. Trump wrote on Truth Social:
"Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters. GOD BLESS AMERICA!"

What's Colorado UFO Watchtower? New Government UFO Moves Rekindle Interest
May 31, 2026 18:48 +08
Visitors and enthusiasts hope increased government transparency will bring more attention to decades of UFO reports.
A roadside attraction in southern Colorado is finding itself back in the spotlight as the U.S. government releases new files on unidentified flying objects, or UFOs.
The UFO Watchtower, located in Hooper in the San Luis Valley, has become a gathering place for believers, curious travelers, and amateur skywatchers since it opened in the late 1990s.
Recent government disclosures have renewed interest in whether official attention to UFO reports could change how the public views the phenomenon.
The renewed attention matters because UFO discussions have increasingly moved from fringe communities into mainstream political and national security conversations.
While the newly released files do not provide evidence of extraterrestrial life, supporters argue that government transparency could encourage broader public engagement with reports that were once routinely dismissed.
What Is the Colorado UFO Watchtower?
The UFO Watchtower is a privately operated attraction in Hooper, Colorado, in the San Luis Valley.
Founded by Judy Messoline about 26 years ago, the site includes an elevated observation platform, campground, gift shop, and an outdoor area filled with items left behind by visitors.
The attraction was inspired by decades of reports of unusual UFO sightings in the valley. The area is known for its dark skies, wide-open landscapes, and long history of unexplained aerial observations.
According to the report, the watchtower maintains records of more than 300 reported sightings submitted by visitors over the years.
Judy Messoline told The Washington Post she has personally witnessed about 30 UFOs since opening the attraction.
"It is high time that they let the American public know what's going on," she said. "There is definitely something happening. And I don't think it's from this world."
Why Is the Site Linked to UFO Sightings?
The San Luis Valley has long been associated with unexplained events.
One of the area's most famous mysteries dates back to 1967, when an Appaloosa horse known as Snippy was found dead under unusual circumstances, sparking speculation that continues to attract UFO enthusiasts today.
Researchers have also noted that many UFO sighting hotspots share characteristics found in the valley, including expansive landscapes and exceptionally dark night skies.
Those conditions make the area attractive to people hoping to spot unusual aerial activity.
Will New Government UFO Releases Change Public Perception?
The Trump administration recently began releasing government UFO files that include FBI interviews, NASA transcripts, military videos, and law enforcement records related to unexplained sightings.
Announcing the release, President Donald Trump said the information would allow Americans to decide for themselves "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?"
The disclosures have generated mixed reactions. Some UFO enthusiasts argue the documents are only a small step toward greater transparency, while others believe they contain little new information.
Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., described the first batch as a "drop in the bucket" and said, "'Holy Crap' is coming."
At the UFO Watchtower, visitors and staff see the disclosures as a sign that the topic is receiving more serious attention than in previous decades.
Larry Messoline, the site's manager, said, "At least things are being talked about now." He believes increased discussion could bring more visitors and more interest in reports that many enthusiasts say deserve further study.
While the newly released files have not provided proof of extraterrestrial life, they have certainly reignited debate over unexplained sightings and whether future disclosures could reshape public attitudes toward UFO reports.
For places like Colorado's UFO Watchtower, that conversation has been decades in the making.

'The Arrival' at 30: Charlie Sheen’s criminally underrated alien invasion thriller feels much scarier today
May 31, 2026
The science fiction film trope of the passionate astronomer monitoring radio telescopes in search of transmissions from an extraterrestrial intelligence, then actually hearing one, seems cliché today after decades of overuse.
Surprisingly, its origins actually aren’t that old. It can be traced to 1996’s "The Arrival," which happens to be marking its 30th anniversary today.
"The Arrival" was quietly released by Orion Pictures on May 31, 1996, one month before the comic book-like alien invasion spectacle of "Independence Day" landed, and a year before Robert Zemeckis's "Contact" hit the screens with its adaptation of Carl Sagan's first contact novel.
Directed by veteran Hollywood screenwriter David Twohy, "The Arrival" ranks as one of the most overlooked and underappreciated sci-fi movies of all time.
The film's taut, intelligent script by Twohy and standout performances from Charlie Sheen, Ron Silver, and Lindsay Crouse elevate it to a bona fide classic that remains topical today with society’s fascination with UFO culture, Congress spilling UAP images, and Spielberg's "Disclosure Day" on the horizon.
Twohy loves the sci-fi genre and notoriously co-wrote Kevin Costner's epic flop, "Waterworld," but would redeem himself admirably with "The Arrival" before writing and directing "The Riddick Trilogy," which consists of "Pitch Black" (2000), "The Chronicles of Riddick" (2004), and "Riddick" (2013).
"The Arrival" begins as pretty standard sci-fi fare with a devout radio astronomer for SETI named Zane Zaminsky (Charlie Sheen) intercepting what might be an extraterrestrial radio signal from Wolf 336, some 14 light-years off.
After recording the transmission, Zaminsky takes the evidence to Phil Gordian (Ron Silver), his smarmy boss at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab, where his remarkable findings are rejected as a misinterpretation and the smoking gun tape is eventually destroyed.
When he’s dismissed from his SETI job, a huge cover-up ensues. Hit men are dispatched, homicide takes hold, and a smear campaign is hatched to discredit Zaminsky as faking signals to keep his SETI gig.
Realizing he’s stumbled onto a global conspiracy, Zaminsky goes on the run after linking neighborhood satellite dishes to create an array relocating the alien signal.
1/2
This leads him to a radio station in Central Mexico, where the cosmic transmission is being masked by its own signal. Here, he connects with a climatologist named Ilana Green (Lindsay Crouse).
She's traced one potential source of Earth’s rising temperature to a newly built power plant in the same area that turns out to be the secret base of shape-shifting E.T.s attempting to heat things up to a steamy climate more to their toasty taste.
Cinematography on "The Arrival" was done by Hiro Narita, who five years earlier had been the Director of Photography on 1991's "The Rocketeer" and "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country."
Narita brings a no-nonsense visual style to "The Arrival" that keeps it well grounded, even when we first see the otherworldly beings in their true form.
He uses tight paranoid close-ups and vivid splashes of local color that take full advantage of the location shoot and its jungle landscapes once the plot switches from Southern California to South of the Border.
Those weird reptilian alien creatures were digitally created by Pacific Data Images PDI, an early visual effects and digital animation studio bought by DreamWorks SKG in 2000 and merged into DreamWorks Animation.
Along with Pixar, they were pioneers of computer animation and contributed visual effects to more than 70 feature films, including "Antz" and "Shrek."
Sadly, "The Arrival" didn’t exactly catch box office fire and only collected a total of $14 million upon its domestic release, off a $25 million production budget.
With bigger tentpole releases like "Independence Day" looming and its bombastic marketing flooding the airwaves, "The Arrival" never attracted mass audiences, but it is being rediscovered for its many merits.
Sheen pulls off a fantastic, convincing performance, displaying an unhinged intensity while rockin’ a sweet goatee and close-cropped hair.
Fans have noted the likeness of "Half-Life's" hero, Dr. Gordon Freeman, being similar to Zaminsky, with the sci-fi horror protagonist sporting identical horn-rimmed eyeglasses and black ‘90s-style facial hair!
With its "The X-Files"-like mystery, captivating alien creature effects, invasion conspiracy theories, climate crisis warnings, and sincere pitch-perfect performances, David Twohy's ambitious film is a must-watch for both sci-fi diehards and pulse-pounding thriller enthusiasts that won’t disappoint.
Steven Spielberg's "Disclosure Day" is nearly upon us, but this is a vintage gem also reminding us we're not alone.

They Were Never Aliens

The buildings. The missing records. The underground mysteries. The sudden release of UAP files. What if all of these pieces are connected to something much bigger than we’ve ever been told?
In this episode, we follow the patterns surrounding disclosure, advanced technology, Antarctica, and the possibility that the truth about our past may be far stranger than fiction.
The so-called “UFO/UAP disclosure” is not actually about extraterrestrials from outer space, it’s about the survival and continued existence of an advanced “Old World” civilization that supposedly built the massive historical structures around the world and never truly disappeared.
