>Navy vessel that is strictly used as a rapid deployed bridge, that can stretch out at least 1/4 mile from shore that would go ahead of larger ships that can carry many heavy assets, thus delivering at least 50 - 100 assets at a time
In other words, instead of a hovercraft that can carry one tank every hour to shore, a ship that converts to a bridge, with hovercraft rafts on the bottom of the platform, that can help pull and push the bridge together along with the ships power. This would help avoid mines by keeping the bridge 6 ft above where the minimum of mines could be laid. As a ramp, it would then allow other vessels to quickly deploy their heavy assets, detach, and get out of harm's way, allowing other heavy container ships to use that bridge. We need this capability asap.
