This world is still seriously underestimating the threat that modern technology presents. These machines were designed to enshrine the previous understanding of how the world works in steel, and yet through their use they reveal significant flaws with that understanding. Either the world must be willing to take on very serious introspection regarding our place within it and how we relate to each other, or we will cause our own societies to collapse. I don't like it at all, but those in decision making positions have chosen to build and deploy these machines, so we must work with what we've got.
