Sauce: Anecdotal, third hand to me, take it for what it's worth

It was told to me by a friend that the Chinese are operating large warehouses in the Oakland, CA area where they grow cannabis. My friend encountered a trucker he knows who was hauling a load of potting soil. Turns out it is a run the trucker has been making with some regularity. He hauls the soil to warehouses in the SF bay area. If I recall correctly it was to Oakland and I'm not sure whether is was one warehouse or multiple. The delivery site has armed guards and is staffed by Chinese. I repeat this is hearsay to me so take it for what it is worth.

If some anon is looking for a dig (or the DEA is lurking here) it seems to me that it should be possible to track truck loads of potting soil via traffic cams. They will be hauled on flatbed trucks so they will be identifiable.

I am from the heart of the "Green Triangle" which used to produce the majority of the Cannabis grown in CA. I have independently heard that all of the old hippy farmers in this are are gone and most of the grows are Mexican Mafia now. It is also worth noting that there is still a strong black market for MJ in CA despite it being legal here. This is due to all the taxes and regulations the state puts on the product, which make it more profitable to grow legally and then sell on the black market.

One final note, the same trucker from above reportedly also makes runs into the San Joaquin Valley hauling the same thing.
