A tripcode is an arbitrary string generated by a cryptographic function with 2 inputs:
-a password typed by the user
-a secret salt (string of bits, a constant) stored securely on the 8ch server
To read anything more into it than that is, imo, silly. It's a code that authenticates Q, no more, no less.
