Butt-Hurt elites snarl over falling home prices, thanks to H1-B and illegals getting booted… 1/2

June 5, 2026 (a day

The elites over at Bloomberg just accidentally spilled the beans.

Americans have been staring down some pretty gnarly home prices lately. The left has been trying to tell us this is some kind of amazing “housing boom” happening. But we know better. These soaring housing and rental prices are a direct result of Biden’s mass invasion and the out-of-control work visasthat were being handed out like Halloween candy. The housing market just kept getting tighter, thanks to illegals and visa holders scooping up homes. As a result, prices skyrocketed.

But the global elites want us to accept all of this as the new normal… young families priced out of homes, first-time buyers crushed by bidding wars, and working Americans unable to find an affordable rental.

But we’re seeing it doesn’t have to be this way. Thanks to President Trump’s mass deportations and cracking down on H-1B visas, the housing market is finally showing signs of stabilizing. And the political elites over at Bloomberg aren’t too happy about it.

Andy Kolvet:

This is amazing. Bloomberg just published an articlelamenting the H-1B crackdown on Indian workers in Texas because…

HOME PRICES ARE DROPPING DRAMATICALLY(!!)

The same article claims it’s “racist” to scale back the number of H-1Bs (lol)and states as gospel truth that home prices going down will harm the local economy.

Articles like thisfail to explain how masses of Indian immigrants have pushed home prices out of reach for many native-born Americans in the first place, or how they’ve culturally transformed huge swaths of Texas.

Prices coming DOWN from less immigration is a very good thingthat should be celebrated. It also proves the Trump administration’s entire premise: Unchecked, runaway, invasion levels of immigration, legal and illegal, has fueled the affordability crisis.

Less immigration makes America more affordable.

Look at the cover of this article. Lower housing prices is like a funeral for these guys:

Millions of Americans have spent years watching the old-fashioned American dream of homeownership sail out of reach. They weren’t celebrating when prices exploded or when starter homes suddenly cost a fortune. They certainly weren’t happy watching entire neighborhoods become unaffordable and filled with foreigners.

But now that prices are finally moving in the other direction, Bloomberg wants readers to believe we’re witnessing a crisis. For regular, hard-working Americans who want to buy a home, this doesn’t sound like a “crisis.”

2/2

Right outta the gate, Bloomberg reveals just how dependent parts of North Texas became on one particularly interesting source.

Bloomberg:

Foralmost a decade, South Asians have been the driving force behind this region’s building boom, one of the biggest in the US during the pandemic. They once accounted for 70% of sales at Schneider’s Tradition Homes. But in the past year they’ve dropped below 30%, leaving his family-owned company with a backlog of 125 luxury properties to sell.

So, for years, builders couldn’t keep up with demand. Now they’re sitting on more than a hundred unsold homes. Hmm. Yes. Something has clearly changed…

Bloomberg:

But the momentum is quickly reversing. Indian buyers are disappearing from the market as federal and state governments tighten H-1B restrictionsand many of the tech companies that employedthe new arrivals fire workers in favor of artificial intelligence. Prices in the Collin County suburbs north ofDallas in February dropped almost 9% from a year earlier, compared with a decline of 4% in the metro area as a whole, according to data from brokerage Redfin.

And there it is… falling prices are an “alarm bell” for Bloomberg.

Finally, Bloomberg starts putting two and two together and connects population growth with housing demand and home prices.

Bloomberg:

The shift has knocked down home prices, slowed population expansion and risks eroding the tax base needed to fund schools and roads planned during a five-year growth streak.

Haven’t Americans been told for years that immigration has no impact whatsoever on affordability?

Turns out that was a lie, too.

And the real “bean-spilling”moment is when this house expert chimes in.

Bloomberg:

“A surge of well-paid, highly skilled workers can push up home prices by boosting demand,” says Eli Beracha, a Florida International University professor who co-authored a 2025 paper on the subject published in the Journal of Real Estate Research.“These H-1B visas are the No. 1 converters of potential homebuyers to actual homebuyers. But when you get fewer people receiving H-1B visas, you get an immediate negative surprisebecause you have housing that has already been built for those people sitting on the market.”

And there it is. Beans all over the place.

This article was long, if you want to read it all, please click here.

But what’s interesting is that Bloomberg typed thousands of words trying to dance around the issue, only to arrive at the obvious conclusion: more buyers push prices up, fewer buyers push prices down.

It’s safe to say, if lowering immigration is helping bring housing prices back down to earth, then maybe the “affordability crisis” wasn’t some mysterious force of nature after all.

Maybe it was exactly what was suspected all along… too many people competing for too few homes.

Pentagon Sees Growing Espionage Threat From Israel

The Defense Department has increased the counterintelligence threat assessment to its highest level, and Israel is believed to have eavesdropped on American negotiations with Iran.

Recent U.S. intelligence reports have raised concerns about Israeli spy agencies eavesdropping on American negotiators working on a peace deal with Iran, amid rising concern over a more general counterintelligence threat by Israel.

Israel and the United States have long known, and tolerated, that each was spying on the other. But an intensified Israeli effort to learn about U.S. positions in talks with Iran has crossed a line, according to some American officials.

The reports include concerns that Israel has stepped up its efforts to eavesdrop on senior American officials, including Steve Witkoff, President Trump’s top negotiator, Elbridge A. Colby, the Pentagon’s top policy official, and one of his main deputies, Michael P. DiMino IV.

Another report, written by the Defense Intelligence Agency and other military intelligence offices and focused on earlier events going back several years, said that the counterintelligence threat level posed by Israel had been increased in recent weeks to the top level, from high to critical. The report, to which the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency contributed, outlines various efforts by Israel to spy on American military personnel and government officials.

The reports and the intensified concern about Israeli spying come at an especially sensitive time. Israel and the U.S. have been fighting the war against Iran together, and have never had such close military coordination as they do now, with Israeli military officers working side-by-side with their American counterparts at U.S. Central Command.

The U.S. military is sharing huge amounts of tactical and operational information with its Israeli counterparts. But senior American officials said that Israel is looking for insights into Mr. Trump’s strategy and shifting stances on the peace talks.

The new warning could potentially complicate efforts to further integrate military war planning between U.S. Central Command and Israel, especially if the Pentagon makes a decision to place new restrictions on information shared with Israeli officers.

There has already been tension between the two nations as Mr. Trump pursues a peace deal even as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel seeks to further degrade Iran’s capabilities, weaken or topple its theocratic government and assault Tehran’s proxy in Lebanon, Hezbollah.

The Defense Intelligence Agency report was drafted after incidents in which American defense personnel in Israel detected that software to tap their communications had been surreptitiously installed on their phones.

The existence of the Defense Intelligence Agency report and the increased threat levelwere reported earlier by NBC News.

The Defense Department declined to comment.A White House official, speaking on the condition their name not be used, said the account was false.

A spokesperson for the Israeli embassy in Washington also disputed claims that Israel poses a counterintelligence threat, saying that Israel does not spy on American officials or entities.

The developments were described by several current and former U.S. officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive intelligence matters.…

They said that in some respects the counterintelligence warning is no surprise. Israel has long engaged in aggressive intelligence collection operations against both its enemies and its allies, as does the United States.

Still, Israel’s counterintelligence threat level is now higher than any other ally and higher than some adversarial countries. Of American allies, only South Korea, which is rated at high in certain situations, approaches the concern with Israel’s espionage efforts, the officials said.

The aggressiveness of the Israeli intelligence collection on top U.S. officials during the second Trump administration has been “unhinged,” one senior official said.

Ticking Clock: Lesley Stahl Reportedly Brings in the Big Guns to Protect Her from New “60 Minutes” Regime, Age 84 and Not Retiring

June 5, 2026 11:15 am

The “60 Minutes” clock is ticking like a time bomb.

Lesley Stahl, now the most senior and tenured of the show’s correspondents, isn’t fooling around.

Stahl is bringing out the big guns. She’s reportedly hired Bryan Lourd of Creative Artists Agency to represent her in the CBS debacle.. KEK

Matt Belloni reports this in his Puck newsletter over night.

In the last two weeks, Stahl — who’s 84 and has no plans to retire — has seen four of her colleagues leave the show. Anderson Cooper went on his own. But dislikes CBS News chief fired Sharyn Alfonsi and Cecilia Vega. Then new Executive Producer Nick Bilton fired Scott Pelley.

Also gone are Executive Producer Tanya Simon and senior production staff.

Weiss and Bilton are no match for Lourd or CAA, believe me. Weiss may not care, but Bilton will want some kind of career after this blows up in his face. Lourd knows that.

Losing Lesley Stahl would be ‘game over’ for the new regime. She’s the last link to the classic “60 Minutes” of Mike Wallace, Morley Safer, Harry Reasoner, and Ed Bradley. Her skills and connections drive the show’s authority and public trust. As it is, Pelley’s exit is devastating. His political pieces are incisive and on the money. That piece on the Vietnam caves will win awards.

As for Bill Whitaker and Jon Wertheim: they better take a page from Stahl’s book if they want to stick around.

And new correspondents? Now that CNN and CBS will be corporate cousins, watch for self-aggrandizing Jake Tapper to try to get a foot in the door.

PS The Joe Rogan rumor has been put to bed. Rogan’s appearance on “60 Minutes” would be the end of CBS News completely.

State attorney will no longer prosecute Alachua County firearm waiting period violations

By Mistie Webb and WCJB Staff

Jun. 5, 2026 at 5:41 PM EDT

State Attorney Brian Kramer told Alachua County leadershe will no longer prosecute violations of the county’s five-day waiting period for firearm purchases.

NEWBERRY, Fla. (WCJB) —

State AttorneyBrian Kramer notified Alachua County leaders he will no longer prosecute violations of the county’s five-day waiting period for firearm purchases, citing a new federal court settlement and constitutional concerns.

In a letter to Alachua County officials, Kramer said his office will no longer prosecute violations of the county’s five-day firearm waiting period or any cooling-off period outside what it takes to conduct a background check.

Kramerpointed to a recent federal court settlement in which Florida agreed the state’s three-day waiting period is unconstitutional under the Second Amendment.

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier called it a landmark case, saying government offices have a duty to protect constitutional rights.

“We have customers from all around, and they come into Alachua County and go, ‘How long?’So, this is going to be a huge win for us as a retailer, so we don’t have to burden our customers with this exorbitant wait time,” said Bennett Latimer, operations manager at Lawful Defense, Shoot GTR.

Alachua County’s waiting period was approved by voters in 2018 and applies to most firearm purchases, even after a background check is completed.

TRENDING: ‘Stand Your Ground’ lawsuit filed against Alachua County Sheriff by man accused of threatening fiber installers

County leaders will now have to decide whether to take action in response to the state attorney’s decision.

For now, the county’s ordinance remains in place, but without prosecution from the state attorney’s office, its future is unclear.

Uthmeier posted the following to social media regarding the ruling.

“Every government office, including mine, exists to protect your God-given rights as enshrined in the U.S. Constitution. That’s why we’re settling a landmark federal case that declares Florida’s 3-day firearm purchase waiting period unconstitutional under the Second Amendment.”

Putin rejects Zelenskyy's offer to meet, saying he sees 'no point' in it 1/2

The Canadian Press Fri, June 5, 2026 at 3:16 PM EDT 6 min read

ST. PETERSBURG, Russia (AP) — Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday rejected a proposal by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for a face-to-face meeting on the 4-year-old conflict, saying he sees “no point” in it.

Thursday's letter, the first public message Zelenskyy has written directly to Putin since Russia sent troops into Ukraine in 2022, was a sweeping critique of the Russian leader’s 26 years in power as well as some taunts about his age.

Speaking at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum,Putin describedZelenskyy’s open letter proposing the meeting as “boorish.”

“Is it a way to create conditions for personal meetings and talks,or create an environment which makes any personal meetings impossible?” Putin said at a question-and-answer session at his annual St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. “I think it’s the second.”

Putin added that a Russian businessman whom he didn’t identify traveled to Kyiv last month and met with Zelenskyy to hear his offer of a personal meeting.

However,Putin said that he currently sees “no point” in such a meeting, especially after a May 22 drone attack by Ukraine on a college dormitoryin the Russian-controlled Luhansk region that Moscow said killed 21 and wounded scores of others.

In response to Zelenskyy’s barbs about his age and long stay in power, the 73-year-oldPutin pointed at other global leaders who are older, adding that “the main thing isn’t age; the main thing is the ability to work.”

He also mocked Zelenskyy's rocky Oval Office meeting in 2025 and thanked U.S. PresidentDonald Trump for “educating” Zelenskyy “before the eyes of the whole world” and teaching him a proper dress code.

==“There is still a lot to be done••,” he said.

Zelenskyy acknowledged shifting U.S. priorities, saying it would be wrong to simply wait for the Trump administration to return its attention to ending the fighting in Ukraine while it remains heavily focused on the Iran war.

In Washington,Trump said Thursday it “would be great” if Putin and Zelenskyy meet.

Putin has previously offered for Zelenskyy to come to Moscow for talks, an offer that the Ukrainian leader pointedly rejected.Putin said last month he doesn’t exclude a meeting in a third country, but only when there is a deal to sign.

On Thursday, Putin again rejected Zelenskyy’s push for an immediate ceasefire, arguing thatMoscow wants a comprehensive settlement, not a temporary truce.

Putin said Russia is open for a compromise on Ukraine in line with understandings reached at his last year’s summit with Trump in Anchorage, Alaska, adding that Ukraine needs to accept them to make a deal to end the conflict.

“Naturally, the Ukrainian side would like us to suspend the advances made by Russian troops,” he said.“But it would be better to end the war by agreeing to the compromises that were discussed in Anchorage.”

Asked about Iran, Putin voiced hope for an eventual deal to secure lasting peace. He shrugged off claims that Moscow provided Iran with satellite images, saying that Tehran could use widely available commercial ones.

"As for weapons, Iran hasn’t asked us for them and we haven’t supplied any weapons to Iran,” he said, adding that Russia stands ready to take enriched uranium for storage as part of a potential peace deal, and that Moscow has stayed in contact with Iran, the U.S. and Israel.

Global turbulence

In a speech earlier Friday at the forum, Putin said developing countries have gained an increasingly important role in the global economy, while the share of output by Western countries has shrunk.

2/2

He accused the West of undermining the global economy and finances with unilateral sanctions. By freezing Russian assets abroad through sanctions, Western nations eroded trust in their own currencies, he said.

“The sanctions and blocking of Russia’s sovereign reserves have irreversibly impacted the standing of international currencies, the dollar and the euro,” he said. “Just like Russia, any other country could lose access to their legitimate assets in dollars or euros, as well as Western financial and payment systems.”

He alleged that high state debt had helped undermine global trust in Western institutions.

“The roots of the current global turbulence lie in the transition from a vertical, hierarchical model, which served the interests of a small number of states, to a more complex, distributed and multipolar one,” Putin said. “Russia views global changes not only as a threat but also as immense opportunities. And to capitalize on them, we aim to act swiftly and pragmatically.”

The Russian leader said theworld needed a “modern, flexible and responsible financial architecture — free from risks, bans and barriers.”

Putin stresses Russia's macroeconomic stability

Putin played down Russia’s economic slowdown and sought to emphasize its macroeconomic stability. He noted that Russia’s state debt is a fraction of that in Western countriesand its budget deficit is considerably smaller, compared with the West.

The forum comes at a time when Russia’s economic outlook has clouded amid the conflict in Ukraine. The government raised taxes and increased domestic borrowing to keep its budget deficit under control.

On Thursday, Putin told heads of international media on the forum's sidelinesthat it was an exaggeration to say Russia's economy was struggling. He noted that his government had taken deliberate steps to cool the economy to keep inflation under control.

Putin has used the St. Petersburg forum, likened to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, to showcase his country’s economic advances and encourage foreign investment. While Western officials and business leaders have stayed away after Putin sent troops into Ukraine in 2022, Russia has sought guests from elsewhere to underline its declared goal of promoting a “multipolar world.”

Saudi Arabia sent a large delegation this year, and the presidents of Uzbekistan and Tanzania and vice president of China also gave speeches Friday. A U.S. official, Rodney Mims Cook Jr., head of the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts, is attending for the first time in years.

Cook was singled out in the audience during a question-and-answer session following Putin's speech. Cook praised the beauty of St. Petersburg and Putin thanked him for the remarks about his hometown and asked to convey his greetings to Trump.

Hours before the forum opened Wednesday, a Ukrainian drone attack set ablaze an oil terminal in St. Petersburg and also hit a nearby naval base.

Putin declared that Russia was “calmly and resolutely” moving to reach its goals in Ukraine. He acknowledged the damage from Ukrainian drone attacks deep inside Russia and vowed to build up defenses.

“They do inflict a certain damage,” he said. “For us, it means only one thing: we need to strengthen our security, strengthen air defenses, and we will do that.”

Susie Wiles Responds To Report She’s Quitting Trump Administration

Kathryn Wilkens

Jun 5th, 2026, 8:51 pm

On Friday, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wilesresponded to a Daily Mail report that claimed she plans to “quit” President Donald Trump’s administration, writing on X that the story is “fiction.”

The exclusive, published on Friday, cited five “insiders” who told the outlet that Wiles, who has worked for Trump since 2015, is “drained” by the current state of his cabinet and took it as an “insult” when he named Federal Housing Finance Agency head Bill Pulte as acting Director of National Intelligence.

Wiles wrote Friday on X:

After an accomplishment filled week by President Trump,I have the pleasure of reading a piece of Friday fiction, courtesy of the Daily Mail.

To be crystal clear,I am not going anywhere. I am honored and proud to serve President Trump, proud of our team and remain fully committed to advancing his agenda on behalf of the American people.

Some in the media have spent a decade trying to manufacture drama around President Trump and people who work for him. They were wrong then, and they are wrong now.

See you Monday.

In March, Trump posted on Truth Social that Wiles was battling breast cancer, writing:

Susie Wiles is an incredible Chief of Staff, a great person, and one of the strongest people I know but, unfortunately, she has been diagnosed with early stage breast cancer, and has decided to take on this challenge, IMMEDIATELY, as opposed to waiting. She has a fantastic medical team, and her prognosis is excellent! During the treatment period, she will be spending virtually full time at the White House, which makes me, as President, very happy!

Her Strength and her Commitment to continue doing the job she loves, and does so well, while undergoing treatment, tells you everything you need to know about her.Susie, as one of my closest and most important advisors, is tough and deeply committed to serving the American People. She will soon be better than ever! Melania [Trump] and I are with her in every way, and we look forward to working with Susie on the many big and wonderful things that are happening for the benefit of our Country! President DONALD J.
