But Federal Marshalls are of the Executive Branch? Under Trump's command?
U.S. Marshals Service (USMS)—commonly referred to as Federal Marshals—is part of the Executive Branch of the U.S. government and operates under the ultimate authority of the President, including any sitting President such as Donald Trump.
Key Facts on Structure and Command
The USMS is a federal law enforcement agency housed within the Department of Justice (DOJ), which is an Executive Branch department.

It receives its direction from the U.S. Attorney General, who is appointed by the President and serves as a member of the President’s Cabinet. The Attorney General, in turn, answers to the President.

The Director of the USMS is appointed by the President (with Senate confirmation) and provides leadership for the agency.

The 94 district U.S. Marshals (one per federal judicial district) are also presidentially appointed and Senate-confirmed.
In short, because the USMS sits squarely in the Executive Branch under the DOJ, the President has command authority over it through the normal chain of command (President → Attorney General → USMS Director → field personnel). This is the same structure that has existed for decades, including during Trump’s previous term.
Note on Recent Political DiscussionsIn 2025, some members of Congress introduced legislation (the MARSHALS Act) that would move the USMS to the Judicial Branch to reduce potential executive influence over its judicial-protection duties. As of the latest available information, that change has not been enacted, so the USMS remains under the Executive Branch.

The Marshals’ primary missions (protecting federal judges/courts, executing federal court orders, fugitive operations, etc.) are carried out under this Executive Branch framework, but they still must obey valid court orders as part of their statutory duties. There is no separate “direct personal command” by the President over individual Marshals outside the normal executive hierarchy.
Technically they are under his command so it's an open question if or if not they would be able to enforce something against him, especially if it was petty and could be termed overreach, illegal. And become a Constitutional question. Like shutting down his game/ party.
It's like they want to go in and look through Melania's lingerie drawer. Oh Wait, they already did that
