Perfect – President Trump Doubles Down, Bill Pulte Will Takeover as Acting DNI on June 19th

June 9, 2026 | Sundance

Articulate focus with specific intent can pay dividends. Sorry for my absence earlier today. I can confirm the first sentence, between the commas.

Against the backdrop of threats from various legislative branch members, President Donald Trump has doubled down and firmly announced that Bill Pulte will take the position of Acting DNI effective June 19th( aka ‘Juneteenth’).

Delivering the message from his Truth Social account, PresidentTrump has extended his plenary powerand put congress back into the position they hold in government. If congress want’s FISA (702), then reauthorize it. If they don’t want it, then don’t reauthorize it.The issue matters not to the overall national security dynamic.

[SOURCE]

Kash Patel better prepare to get busy. It’s time to put up or shut up. If the FBI carries out a false flag operation (they’d be stupid), or if the CIA attempts to undermine the domestic national security front (they won’t), there is going to be an intense response from Trump and Pulte.

Great job President Donald Trump!

FISA (702) is NOT President Trump’s Problem to Solve

June 9, 2026 | Sundance |

After reading the umpteenth article [example here] from congressional voices talking aboutwhat President Trump needs to do in order for the legislative branch to reauthorize FISA (702), it’s worth reminding everyone how we accept goofy just becausegoofy has become the norm.

The FISA (702) issue belongs entirely to the legislative branch. It is their work product. It is their enacted law, albeit with an expiration date. The executive branch has nothing to do with the law. If congress doesn’t reauthorize. a law they have enacted, that’s on the legislative branch – not the executive branch.

The legislative branch enacted a law;it could be unconstitutionaland has never been tested in the Supreme Court. However, it is their law. If the same legislative branch allows the law to expire, that’s entirely their choice. The executive branch can do nothing to reauthorize a lawthat is entirely in the purview of the legislative branch.

PresidentTrump should not acceptthe legislative branch dysfunctionas if it is his problem to solve. It’s not his monkey.

Somehow thebaseline of responsibility has been permitted to shift from the Legislative Branch to the Executive Branch, and the media are apparently clueless about how the separation of powers actually functions.Even if the Executive Branch wanted to reauthorize it, they can’t.

Somewhere in our modern discussions of things, we havelost sight of the roles and responsibilities within government.

As to the argument of whether or not to reauthorize it,personally I hope congress lets the FISA (702) legislation expire. However, that’s a distinctly moot point when overlaid against who has responsibility for it.

It’s time to teach civics again, and our nation would be well served if the people around President Trumpsimply reminded the media and by extension the American people, that FISA is a congressional responsibility. If they don’t want to reauthorize the law they enacted, then fine; but the issue is all theirs.

The problem of FISA (702) being carried out is multifaceted and complicated. However, the origin of the law and or extension therein, is entirely the responsibility of the Legislative Branch. It really is that simple.

WASHINGTON DC – […] Democrats have coalesced behind an ultimatum:They won’t support a reauthorization of Section 702of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Actas long as Bill Pulte, an ally of President Donald Trump with no national security experience, remains acting directorof national intelligence.

The White House is standing by Pulte, at least publicly, whileaccusing Democrats of holding the spy power “hostage” and putting the country’s “national security at risk.” (read more)

Election Night Livewire Maine’s Graham Platner, South Carolina’s Lindsey Graham Aim to Secure Nominations

Matthew Boyle9 Jun 2026

Voters in several states are casting ballots on Tuesday to determine theirRepublican and Democrat nominees in several key races, but two big races with almost certain outcomes in each state are the ones likeliest to steal the show this week.

South Carolina’s longtime Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham aims to secure the GOP nomination for yet another term, while Maine Democrat Graham Platner aims to win his party’s nominationfor the right to face Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) in November despite a series of scandals plaguing him in recent weeks.

Both men are likely to walk away with their respective nominationsdespite earlier questions in each campaign as to whether or not they would, and in the case of South Carolina a win by Graham on Tuesday almost certainly locks up the state for the GOP for November — though he will likely face Democrat Dr. Annie Andrews in November. In the case of Platner in Maine, him winning his party’s nomination easily could send shudders down the spines of Democrats who were hoping for a drama-free shot at finally taking down Collins— no easy opponent for Democrats as the longtime GOP senator regularly significantly outperforms her polling data. (ME is entirely devoted to Collins.)

While these two races take the spotlight on Tuesday, other races in Maine and South Carolina — and in North Dakota and Nevada — ••could determine key indicators ahead of November’s general midterm election==. Follow along here on Breitbart News for live breaking news and analysis as results roll in from across the nation.

UPDATE 7:46 p.m. ET:

Now,8 percent is reporting in South Carolina and Graham has expanded his lead somewhat, with 63.1 percent to Lynch’s 23.9 percent. If Graham wins by this amount, it will be yet another testament to the strength of President Donald Trump’s endorsement–and a remarkable turnaround for Graham who was lagging somewhat earlier in the race a few months ago. It looks like Graham is doing much, much better than other GOP incumbent senators like Sens. John Cornyn (R-TX) and Bill Cassidy (R-LA) who lost their primary elections earlier this spring.

UPDATE 7:34 p.m. ET:

With2 percent reporting now in South Carolina’s GOP senate primary, Graham leads his GOP primary challenger Mark Lynch significantly. Graham is at 61.5 percent and Lynch is down at 26.9 percent. It’s still early but if this is a sign of things to come this will be one of Graham’s best performances in his last several primary elections.

California Dem Ro Khanna Being Prepped for 2028 Presidential Run by Biden’s Chief of Staff(KEK both Newscum and Harris will lose the minds. But WTF? Ro Khanna???))

Olivia Rondeau9 Jun 2026

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) is reportedly being prepared to run for president in 2028 by former President Joe Biden’s chief of staff, who also worked with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and California gubernatorial candidate Xavier Becerra on their respective campaigns.

Sources familiar with the matter told Politico’s Playbook this week that Khanna has caught the attention of Ron Klain, an attorney who was an appointee of former President Barack Obama as the White House Ebola Response Coordinator.

Klain, who was named Biden’s chief of staff after working as a senior adviser on his 2020 campaign,is now a chief legal officer at Airbnb, while “using his personal time” to advise Khanna“as he prepares for a possible 2028 presidential bid,” the outlet reported.

Khanna announced while speaking with left-wing activist Rev. Al Sharpton at the National Action Network Conference in April. that he would “consider” a run after the November midterm elections.

The progressive congressman has championed progressive causes like recently calling to “tear down” U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) andspeaking out against the Republicans’ Laken Riley Act.

Klain was seen as the far-left faction of the Democrat Party’s way to wield more power in the Biden administration, with him telling the Daily Beast in 2021, “Progressives are a big part of our party and making sure their voices are heard here at the White House is a big part of my job.”

In 2022, the following headline graced Politico’s website:“Progressives, once skeptical of Biden, rally around his chief of staff.”

“Once-sidelined liberals see Ron Klain as a critical conduit between them and the West Wing,” the subhead reads.

The outlet’s latest article also revealed that the personal political activities since he left Biden’s orbit are “far more significant and sweeping than previously known.”

Klain entered socialist Mamdani’s circle to help him with debate prep in 2025, and did the same plus general advising for New York congressional candidate Jack Schlossberg, the grandson of President John F. Kennedy.

He is alsoreportedly “assisting” with California’s Democrat nomineefor governor, Xavier Becerraand “advising” Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) on his reelection campaign.

Ahead of a debate between Maine Gov. Janet Mills (D) and embattledDemocrat Senate candidate Graham Platner that never happened, Klain also “signed on to do debate prep” to help Platner, Politico noted.

Khanna is also a close ally of Platner’s.

Klain declined to do an interview with the outlet, simply stating that he wants his political activities to remain “low key.”

Pentagon Bans EV Giant BYD from Defense Contracts, Citing Chinese Military Ties

John Hayward9 Jun 2026

The Pentagon has added Chinese techgiant Alibaba, electric vehicle (EV) titan BYD, and search engine Baiduto itslist of companies that cannot secure U.S. defense contracts because they are linked to the Chinese military.

The Department of War beganmaintaining a list of “Chinese military companies” in 2021known as the 1260H list, named after the section of the defense authorization act that created it. Companies on thelist are known to provide services to the People’s Liberation Army(PLA), although they are not explicitly state-owned firms.

The list is supposed to map out the extensive coordination between China’s military complex and private companies, and caution American companies that doing business with named companies could risk their physical or intellectual property to end up in the hands of the PLA.

The new additions, made on Monday, brought the 1260H list up to 188 companies, from 130 last year. Although companies on the list are not automatically subjected to punitive sanctions, the Chinese government considers the 1260H list to be anti-competitive and unfair– more of an effort to “contain” China’s growing industrial sector than to address real security threats.

On Monday the Chinese Embassy to the United Statesaccused the Pentagon of “overstretching the concept of national securityand making discriminatory lists to go after Chinese companies.”

“The U.S. should stop its wrong practice and create a fair, just and non-discriminatory environment for Chinese companies,” the embassy said. (That sounds like Zelensky).

Alibaba released its own statement insisting that it is “not a Chinese military company, nor part of any military-civil fusion strategy.”

“We will take all available legal action against attempts to misrepresent our company,” an Alibaba spokesman said.

The Pentagon noted that Alibaba, BYD, and Baidu areall affiliated with the Chinese Communist government’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Another firm, robotics company Unitree, made the list because it “knowingly received assistance” from the Chinese state.

Fortune noted on Mondaythat all three of China’s top artificial intelligence(A.I.) companies – Alibaba, Baidu, and Tencent Holdings –are now 1260H listed entities.

Two chipmakers that were seemingly removed from the list this year, ChangXin Memory Technologies and Yangtze Memory Technologies, have been restored. When they vanished from the list in February, some critics said the Trump administration was attempting to placate China ahead of President Donald Trump’s meeting with dictator Xi Jinping.

Rep. John Moolenaar (R-MI), chair of the House Select Committee on China, said Monday that not only was the 1260H list necessary and appropriate, but even stronger action should be taken against companies that appear on it.

“These Chinese companies are working with the Chinese military against our national interests,” he said. “Any of them that are publicly traded on U.S. exchanges should be immediately delisted and their products should be removed from supply chains our country depends on.”

Moolenaar added, “American companies must stop doing business with these threats to our national security; otherwise they are enabling China’s military ascendance.”

Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) chaired a House Oversight Committee task force hearing on Tuesday, detailing what he calls President Joe Biden’s “backdoor amnesty” for more than a million illegal aliens across the United States.

“Prior administrations and the infinite amnesty lobby weaponized the U.S. immigration system both for political gain and at the expense of the American people, putting foreigners over our own citizens,” Gill said to open the hearing:

The Biden Administration flooded our country with millions of illegal aliens, unvetted from all over the globe, and the impact has been to reduce working class wages, to strain our social system, our education system, our healthcare system, and to culturally transform the United States. [Emphasis added]

In particular,Gill pointed to Biden’s massive expansion of Temporary Protected Status (TPS), the little-known quasi-amnesty program that allows foreign nationals to stay in the U.S., despite having no legal immigration status, if the government has designated their home country as having unlivable conditions due to war or natural disaster.

“It was intended to be temporary … yet the Biden Administration abused it and has utilized TPS as a form of backdoor amnesty for over a million people who entered our country illegally,” Gill said.

“The numbers speak for themselves,” he continued, noting that when Biden took office, just 410,000 foreign nationals with TPS in the U.S. By the time Biden left office, that total had ballooned to more than a million foreign nationals with TPS.

RELATED: Trump Blasts Biden for “Not Checking” the Afghans That Poured into the U.S.

“That includes Burma in 2021, Ukraine in 2022, Afghanistan in 2022, Cameroon in 2022, Ethiopia in 2022, Venezuela in 2021 and 2023, Haiti in 2024, and Lebanon in 2024,” Gill said.

“About half of all current TPS beneficiaries weren’t even residing in the United States until after Joe Biden took office. In other words, TPS was a vehicle for providing backdoor amnesty for the very people that the American people saw pouring into our border for four years and voted President Trump to into office to deport,” Gill said.

“Moreover, the vast majority of the people covered under TPS did enter the U.S. illegally. And I think that’s really important. That includes an estimated 95 percent of all Venezuelan TPS holders and 91 percent of all estimated Haitian TPS holders.”

Whoopi Goldberg Defends Trump Attending Knicks Game at Madison Square GardenJune 9, 2026 (bizarro world for one day)

Whoopi Goldberg defended President Donald Trump attending Game 3 of the NBA Finals to see the New York Knickssquare off against the San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden.

Goldberg responded to criticism of the president during a segment on The View on Monday, defending Trump’s attendance as a lifelong Knicks fan.

“I think anybody who’s a Knicks fan should be there,” Goldberg said. “You earned the right as a Knicks fan. I don’t have to like you.”

After the show played clips of fans objecting to Trump and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani attending the game, Goldberg noted that they have always been Knicks fans.

“I’m sorry. Trump and Mayor Mamdani are Knicks fans and have been, they’re New Yorkers,” Goldberg said. “And … there’s nothing either one of them can do to change what’s happening in this city for this team.”

The president said he attended the Knicks game after the team owner, James Dolan, invited him.

“I’ve been a Knicks fan for a long time and also a Jim Dolan fan,” Trump said. “He’s a nice guy. The answer is, yes, he’s invited me, and I’m going.”

As to whether or not the president could “jinx” the game, Goldberg rejected that.

“You know what, I don’t think anything can jinx anything,” Goldberg said. “I think these guys are on a mission.”

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin said some superstitious fans would see things differently if the Knicks lost.

“If I were advising him, I would be like, do not go, because if they lose tonight, everybody is going to —” Farah Griffin said as Hostin interjected, “The jinx!”

Unfortunately, the Knicks did lose to the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night, prompting some fans on social media to say that Trump jinxed the team.

In May, Trump told the Post that he had been invited to the Eastern Conference Finals.

“I was invited to. I was going to go on Wednesday, but they closed it out very quickly. They’re great, and Jim Dolan’s a great guy — he’s, as you know, owns and in charge of Madison Square Garden. He’s having a good year,” Trump said.

“Boy, what a team! They win all their games. They really have some great players. I think I’ll be going to one of the games, yeah. I was invited by numerous people, and Jim, and I think it’s great. Great to see it. The Knicks have really, they’ve really suffered for years and they’re doing right now very well,” he added.

In 2025, Trump became the first sitting president to attend the Super Bowl when the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
