DETROIT, MI — Five of the eight people arrested Wednesday, June 10 in connection with pro-Palestinian advocacy at the University of Michigan made their initial appearances in federal court later Wednesday.
Four of them will remain in custody until at least 1 p.m. on Friday, June 10, at which point they will appear in front of a judge for unassigned detention hearings, according to court records.
Those four individuals, all of whom were indicted on May 20, are:
Colin Hunter Weger, 24, of Ann Arbor
Jonathan Hongru Zou, 22, of Ann Arbor
Paige Elizabeth Feyock, 26, of Ann Arbor
Zainab Aliasgar Hakim, 23, of Canton
The fifth individual to appear Wednesday, 24-year-old Mariam Muhammed Odeh, of Dearborn, was released on a $10,000 unsecured bond. She will be arraigned on July 1, in the Eastern District Court court records show.
