Lefty Canadians like the majority of lefties are fine with moral virtue signaling when it costs them nothing or aids their careers, but most of them will not sacrifice when it means their own suffering.
Let Trump’s statement of the death of USMCA circulate a little longer, let the July 1 deadline for renewal come and go, watch the morally superior start panicking once the reality of the Canadian economy tanking and entering free fall takes hold, just in time for the Alberta separatist vote in October and the approach of winter bringing massive layoffs; let them get a slap of cold hard reality upside the head as every other country announces renegotiation of trade; what environment do you foresee then?
