Asian Trade Officials Remind Canada that All Deals are Contingent on Access to USA Market

June 11, 2026 | Sundance |

An interesting article in Japan Times reinforces several insider trade discussions that have been taking place over the past eighteen months.Essentially, all trade deals with Canada are contingent upon their access to the USA market. Lose the USMCA trade deal, and any trade terms between Asian and Canadian counterparts are null and void.

This is not the first time this background from key trade nations has been shared with Canada.Japan told Canada last year that most sector trade, specifically the auto industry, was contingent upon tariff-free access to the U.S. market. If Canada loses the USMCA, the terms of trade change completely.

This reality is now surfacing in comments directly from the Canadian trade teams and business insiders within Canada. They are now admitting without the USMCA their leverage for trade with other countries disappears. This is a considerable admission from within Canada government that has not yet become part of the average Canadian understanding.

If Canada loses their trade agreement with the USA, all other countries will modify their trade agreements with Canada. Think about the leverage within that reality, overlay the Canadian government’s severe anti-Trump mindset, and you quickly realize just how dangerous Mark Carney is for Canada.

JAPAN TIMES – […] Carney’s push to lessen dependence on the U.S. is colliding with a stubborn reality: access to American markets remains a crucial part of Canada’s appeal to prospective trading partners, according to interviews with a dozen government officials and business leaders.

[…] Canadian officials acknowledge that the main draw for many potential trading partners is the prospect of gaining tariff-free access to the world’s largest market through Canada’s participation in ‌the U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade ‌agreement.

Carney regularly touts Canada’s preferential access to the U.S. market, noting that more than 85% of bilateral trade remains tariff-free.

“That (USMCA deal) has been kind of a baseline of our investment attraction message,” said a top Canadian government official who requested anonymity to speak frankly.

[…] The auto sector — dominated by Japanese automakers Toyota and Honda — is a prime example. […] Together the two companies account for over 75% of vehicles made in Canada.

[…] “For many of the Japanese companies investing here, one of the reasons for their investment is definitely the special access Canada has enjoyed over the long years,” said ‌Ishii Hideaki, minister and deputy head of mission at the Japanese Embassy in Ottawa.

[…] Goldy Hyder, CEO of the Business Council of Canada, which represents large companies, praised the government’s efforts to attract investment into critical minerals and energy. But he also sounded a note of caution.

“For large investors from Asia or Europe looking at Canada, any decision to deploy capital would necessarily take into account not only our national investment climatebut also our connections to the North American continental economy as a whole.” (read more)

Last year we noted an insider tradereport from Toyota warning that if the U.S. cancelled the USMCA, Toyota would move all production out of Canada. The U.S. market is the majority reason Toyota operates in Canada.

As noted in the Japan Times article, this is the first time the Canadian trade and business community have openly stated their trade strategy is contingent upon selling access to the U.S. market. If Canada loses that access, everything within the economy of Canada will dramatically change.

There are trillions at stake.

Yesterday, yet again,President Trump affirmed he has no intention of continuing the USMCAand will instead prefer two separate bilateral trade agreements, one with Mexico and one with Canada.

Things are going to get spicy very quickly.

Most Canadians have no idea just how consequential that shift will be.

This is a recap videohighlighting the damage Mark Carney has done.

'You're destroying your countries': Is Europe finally heeding Trump's warning on illegal immigration?

New laws require biometric screening and offshore deportation centers as experts say borders are 'overrun'

June 8, 2026 12:19pm EDT.1/2

Earlier in June, the European Union appeared to finally react to concerns raised by President Donald Trumpand many European voters over illegal immigration by introducing tougher border entry rules for the 27-nation bloc.

The EU agreed on new, stricter rules regarding migration and asylum. The laws are specifically designed to ensure that illegal/undocumented migrants who enter the bloc are processed and, where necessary, quickly sent to deportation centers in countries outside the EU.

People seeking asylum will be screened for identity, security, and their health before even entering any asylum system. The border officials will now track and record non-EU citizens entering and exiting the bloc. Plus, it will use biometric data such as fingerprints and facial recognition. And all member states must now help one another and share information.

The Associated Press reported thatthe provisional deal struck by the EU's three main institutions is expected to go to EU lawmakers and governments, where approval is expected.

Alan Mendoza, founder and executive director of the Henry Jackson Society, told Fox News Digital that"The EU’s demography is changing Europe’s culture. We are now having to deal with people who are not integrating with the localcustoms."

While the U.K. is not part of the EU, he said, "Britain’s efforts are behind the new EU rules." Noting the country has "not managed to have offshore migrant holding centers, which would make sure Britain is not seen as a soft touch."

Other experts say the longer countries take to fix the problem, the harder it will be to deal with. Some say it’s already too late.

While Europe’s workaday men and women have clearly seen the problems of illegal immigration for years, their leaders are only just getting the message.

President Donald Trump told world leaders about the damage caused by a flood of undocumented migrants into Europe during his speech to the United Nations General Assembly last year. "You’re destroying your countries," he said. "Europe is in serious trouble; they’ve been invaded by a force of illegal aliens like nobody’s ever seen before."

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth also made reference to the topic during a speech to commemorate D-Day in France on the weekend. "Sadly, today, different European beaches are stormed by different dangerous ideologies. Beaches in Spain and Italy and Greece and Bulgaria, boats and men arrive. When will European capitals do something about that invasion? Or is it too late? I pray not, and I believe not,"he said.

Elsewhere in the EU,Spain seems to have broken with the rest of the bloc on its new stance on undocumented immigration. The country decided to legalize half a million undocumented migrants.

"When undocumented migrants arrive, they get papers, and they get social security," Javier Negre, owner of the La Derecha Diario newspaper, told Fox News Digital. He says a lot of the push to house migrants has come via nongovernmental organizations. "NGOs had a big business, and they promoted illegal immigration," he says.

Another problem is that many undocumented migrants don’t choose to integrate into their new domicile. "They don’t have the same values=+," Negre said. "We import a lot of people, and some realize they can steal iPhones and wallets==," he said, commenting on the rise in crimes.

Critics of the move mostly came from the European left and NGOs. Mélissa Camara, from the French Green party, said the deal was "a historic setback" for human rights in the bloc," the Associated Press reported.

"The legalization of return hubs outside the European Union, the green light for the detention of minors, home visits inspired by ICE practices:the legal arsenal serving a xenophobic ideology is now complete," she said.(says the NGOs that make billions bringing in every violent race and nation to Christian nations.)

New Games and plans for Iran, KEK take all their wealth, or completely freak them out Trump says he prefers taking Iran's Kharg Island, warns of bigger strikes

Summary

President Donald Trump said in a Fox News interview on Thursday that the United States was still talking to Iran but that his preference was to take Kharg Island, the country’s oil infrastructure hub, as he warned of bigger strikes and saidTehran was already “in submission.”(can you imagine how angry that statement makes Iran, but it’s mostly true?)

The United States will hit Iran "very hard tonight" and will soon take control of the country's oil and gas infrastructure and markets, US President Donald Trump said in a Post on Truth Social on Thursday.

Iran’s foreign ministry said on Thursday that US strikes on Iran had effectively made the ceasefire meaningless and warned that Washington would bear responsibility for the “very dangerous consequences of the escalation.” (Really Iran, how much more dangerous can it be, they have no planes, boats, ships, arms and the Gulf countries are on the U.S. side. Do they really have a nuclear bomb handy, if they did they would have used it by now.)

US President Donald Trump warned that Washington wouldcarry out more strikes on Iran if Tehran refuses to accept a deal proposed by US negotiators, following fresh American attacks on Iranian targets.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guards said on Thursdaythat any vessel approaching the Strait of Hormuz would be “cooperating with the enemy(how is that a warning and they can’t do anything about it)," adding that the waterway would be closed until further notice. (The problem they can’t close the Gulf, so all ships can go through because the U.S. Military is there.)

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said on Thursday that Europe should be ready to impose new sanctions on Iran if Tehran stays “on the wrong path.”

A US projectile hit an Iranian cargo dhow in the Sea of Oman early on Thursday, and its five crew members were rescued with help from passing vessels and transferred to Oman, the governor of the southern Iranian county of Sirik said.

Trump officials have viewed Kharg Island capture as ‘endgame’ option - CNN

Plans for the US military to try to capture Iran’s Kharg Island havebeen drawn up for monthsbut repeatedly shelved because the operation was considered too risky, CNN reported, citing a senior Pentagon official and two administration officials.

The view inside the White House and Pentagon is thattaking Kharg Island, or wiping out the island’s energy infrastructure, would effectively bankrupt Iran and diminish its capabilitiesto the point that it could not continue in the war, CNN cited the administration officials as saying.

Officials have also told President Donald Trump that such an operation would likely require a significant number of ground troops and could potentially result in heavy US casualties, the report said.

Because of those calculations, thePentagon and the White House have considered any move to take Kharg Island an “endgame” option— a last resort that could shift the balance of the war, but at a high cost, the officials said, according to the report.

Trump says US is talking to Iran, prefers taking Kharg Island - Fox News

President Donald Trump said in a Fox News interview on Thursday that the United States was still talking to Iran but that his preference would be to take Kharg Island, the country’s oil infrastructure hub.

“We are talking to them and all, but you know, look, my preference has always been - take Kharg Island … my preference would be that. I don't know that America has the stomach for it,” Trump said.

Trump said the United States would attack Iran again with intensified strikes on Thursday night, but added that he would rather not hit bridges and power plants.

“There will be more bombing tonight. It will be bigger - bigger, more powerful,” he said.

Despite plans for more strikes, Trump said the United States was still talking with Iran to reach a deal.

“They have no defense. They can't do anything about it… We dropped $250 million worth of bombs on them last night,” he said.

War damage adds new strain to Iran’s blackout-prone power grid

Iran’s parliament research arm warned the country’s power grid could face a 13,640-megawatt summer peak deficit, about 17% of projected demand and roughly a third of the country’s average 2024 electricity load, as war damage deepens chronic power shortages.

The Parliamentary Research Center said in a report on summer electricity supply that the gap between supply and demand at peak consumptionis projected to reach 13,640 megawatts under a realistic scenario.

The scale is large even by Iran’s recent blackout standards. The report projects maximum simultaneous supply at about 68,420 megawatts, while peak network demand is expected to exceed 81,000 megawatts. That means the shortfall would amount to nearly one-fifth of available supply at the moment of greatest pressure.

US strikes on ‘clear aggression’ against sovereignty, deputy FM says

Kazem Gharibabadi rejected description of the attacks as self-defense, saying it had no legal effect and that military aggression could not be legitimized by wording.

He said Iran’s armed forces would defend the country and that the consequences of what he called illegal and dangerous actions would fall on the United States and any party involved in or assisting them.
