Chinese Agents Caught Using ChatGPT to Influence U.S. Policy Debates

Lucas Nolan11 Jun 2026

OpenAI has banned accounts connected toChinese operatives that leveraged ChatGPT to create social media influence campaigns aimed at American discussions about tariffs and AI data centers, the company disclosed on Wednesday.

Axios reports that the banned Chinese campaigns, while apparently unsuccessful in gaining significant online traction, demonstrate how actors aligned with Beijing are experimenting with AI tools to magnify existing political and economic fault lines within the United States.

OpenAI revealed that itsinvestigators identified two distinct operations that employed ChatGPT to produce social media posts, comments, and political cartoons focused on American technology policy. The first operation, internallylabeled “Data Center Bandwagon,” generated commentary and comic strips asserting that AI data centers were increasing electricity costsfor American households. The second operation, called “Tech and Tariffs,” utilized ChatGPT to craft content and political cartoons criticizing the tariff policies of the Trump administrationand the U.S. pursuit of technological supremacy on the global stage.

“This was not a case of an influence operation creating a debate,” said Ben Nimmo, principal investigator on OpenAI’s intelligence and investigations team, in comments to reporters.“The debate existed already. This was an influence operation from China trying to interfere in it.”

OpenAI acknowledged that neither campaign succeeded in attracting substantial engagement online. However, an =+official from the company informed reporters that this marks what appears to be the first instance of a China-linked operation employing OpenAI’s models to intervene in the specific debate surrounding AI data centers==.

The data center campaign involved users whom OpenAI suspects were affiliated with a Chinese government contractor. These individuals prompted ChatGPT to generate comic strips addressing electrical grid capacity and electricity pricing. The resulting images were subsequently published on the social media platform X through accounts that appeared to be inauthentic, paired with links to legitimate news articles concerning power demands from data center facilities.

A different group, which OpenAIcould not definitively link to any specific actor, employed ChatGPT to produce political cartoons depicting President Trump in ways that criticized American technology and trade policies. One such cartoon portrayed Trump wearing pants decorated with the American flag and bearing the phrase “America First,” while wielding a mallet inscribed with “Tech Dominance” and using it to strike a wall labeled “Global Future.”

OpenAI characterized these campaigns as an early indication of how foreign influence operators may increasingly deploy artificial intelligence tools to mass-produce content targeting contentious political issues in the United States. The company’s detection and subsequent banning of these accounts highlights the growing challenge that AI developers face in preventing their technologies from being co-opted for state-sponsored information operations.

AI is not only the hottest topic of discussion in the race between America and China, but also a weapon used on the American people. Breitbart News social media director and author Wynton Hall explains in his instant bestseller, Code Red: The Left, the Right, China, and the Race to Control AI, that conservatives must develop a plan to deal work with AI that avoids the landmines outlined in this lawsuit, but still captures the benefits of this powerful technology.

HHS Secretary Kennedy Levels NY Times Hack and Her Nasty Hit Piece with an Epic Response that Should Be Taught in College Debate and Oral Communications Classes 1/2

by Jim Hoft Jun. 11, 202

On Thursday, Sheryl Gay Stolberg from The New York Times published a nasty, highly inaccurate hit pieceon Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

The title of the hatchet job is, “Kennedy Shows Minimal Engagement in Vast Health Portfolio”

The entire hit piece was filled with attacks from former disgruntled employees many of whom are anonymous or fired for their performance in her leftist screed.

In her NY Times hit piece Stolberg argues that HHS Secretary Robert Kennedy displayed minimal attention to the Ebola crisis in Africa. She uses fired employees in her attacks. It is the latest media smear on the most impressive HHS Secretary in modern history.

Early this morning, Secretary Robert Kennedy, Jr. responded to Goldberg in historic fashion. Kennedy absolutely destroyed the leftist hack in his response on X. This was one for the ages. They should teach this to college kids in debate and oral communications courses.

Here is Kennedy’s response.

Secretary Kennedy: Sheryl. Your article exemplifies the biased reporting we have come to expect from you and @nytimes. It was unfair, inimical, and inaccurate. All one needs to refute your argument is to glance at my publicly available calendar and to review my unprecedented list of accomplishments on a wide range of issues, all of which I drove. You evidently never undertook these foundational due diligences. Why let facts obscure a good story?

You fault me for missing a couple of monthly counselor meetings. However, I meet one-on-one with my counselors every day to decide policy and strategy. We schedule the monthly meetings to give the divisions a chance to keep each other informed about HHS-wide policies with which I’m already intimately familiar. Had you read my calendar, you would have seen that I have back-to-back meetings all day, every day, with both career and political staff, with my counselors and with outside stakeholders, interspersed with press conferences and other policy announcements.

I am knowledgeable and active on every issue in every division of my department, and I always make the final decisions. I meet with the principals at FDA, NIH, CDC, and my senior counselor every morning, something, I’m told, is unprecedented in HHS history. I try to get out of the office between 4:30 and 6:00 PM, so that I can spend three hours, in quiet, responding to emails. I normally work until 11 PM every night, mostly on phone calls to staff.

In order to prove your preconceived case for my disengagement, you quote anonymous employees, some of whom I fired or who quit to avoid being fired. You also deceptively quote HHS employees without identifying whether they were among those I fired, thereby depriving your readers of the opportunity to make an independent judgment about their credibility.

I came into this job to change the culture of a broken agency that has presided over the worst decline in public health in American history. Of course I fired people—lots of them! It’s an easy task for even the laziest journalist, to comb that flotsam and jetsam for malevolence toward the Trump administration. And of course, this species of journalist will always be able to find disgruntled individuals among the 70,000 employees of the Department from whom to cherry pick “facts” to flesh out a preordained hit piece. All that is required for this brand of journalism is the ethical elasticity that you seem to have in spades. You had a preconceived thesis, and you set out to prove it. This is a widely accepted technique in journalism today, but I grew up in an era when it would not have been tolerated by the New York Times.

2/2

Ultimately, God puts us all on this earth to search for existential truths. I’ve tried to instill this mission at HHS by implementing gold standard research to end the regime of politicized science that COVID exposed to the American public. There was a time that journalists were proud to be the fearless and uncompromising champions of truth. Standards have devolved, and journalism is dead. The Times now employs propagandists. Your capitulation to partisanship further compounds your journalistic challenges; since we all are aware of your predictable bias, we at HHS are unwilling to talk to you about the topics that are important. The fact that you have minimal access to decision makers leaves you covering trivia and relying on your own capacity for invention.

Btw. When I took this job, the building was empty. About 90% of the employees were not coming to work. I changed that, but your newspaper never covers my reforms. Nor did you cover the fact that my predecessor almost never showed up for work here during his four years in office. When we came in, there were still artifacts from the first Trump administration in many of our office drawers because no one showed up for work during the Biden years. Just as Rochelle Walensky spent her entire term as CDC Director in Cambridge, Xavier Becerra reportedly spent most of his term as HHS Secretary in California. (I live in California, but I’ve only been there once in fifteen months).

His only notable accomplishments here were losing 300,000 children, referred to HHS for custody and care, to human traffickers and drug runners, encouraging transgender surgeries, and disabling the entire program-integrity apparatus, allowing hundreds of billions of dollars of theft from my agency. I have set out to find the children Becerra lost. He is now the front-runner for the governor of California. These are not invented stories; they are genuine scandals that the Times will never cover, presumably, because the malefactors are Democrats.

Finally, you criticize me for spending time with the Indian tribes in Alaska. I consider that part of my job. I run the Indian Health Services, and I’ve had unprecedented success in transforming IHS from a backwater to a top priority for this department. I’ve made more trips to Indian country and to Indian health clinics and hospitals than any HHS secretary in history, and I’ve brought Indians into high positions on the sixth floor for the first time in agency history. This is another success story that the Times will never cover.

If the publishers at The New York Times had integrity they would be humiliated by this nasty effort to damage the sitting HHS Secretary by Goldberg.

After Senate Loss, Cornyn Predicts ‘Miserable’ Final Two Years for Trump (one sick F’ck revealing the Senate Mafia) 1/3

In his first extensive interview since his defeat by a Trump-backed challenger, the Texas Republican said the Senate was in for a “bumpy ride” as he and others flex new political freedom. June 11, 2026

Senator John Cornyn was not consoled when President Trump professed on social media that the senior Republican from Texas would “remain my friend for a long time to come” after the president had enthusiastically endorsed the man who defeated Mr. Cornyn, ending his Senate career.

“If that’s the way friends treat you, you wonder about his enemies,” Mr. Cornyn said this week in his first extensive interview since his loss two weeks ago to Attorney General Ken Paxton of Texas, an opponent Mr. Cornyn labeled corrupt and unfit for the Senate.

Mr. Cornyn said he had come to terms with his defeat, a stinging loss he attributed in part to public disillusionment with extreme partisan politics that led to low voter turnout. Now the Trump administration might find itself having to come to terms with Mr. Cornyn as he flexes new political freedom, joining a handful of other Senate Republicans not seeking re-election or defeated in primaries at Mr. Trump’s behest who now have added room to maneuver.

“I think it is going to be a pretty bumpy ride for the next seven months,” Mr. Cornyn said during a wide-ranging conversation in his Capitol office as he reflected on the tumultuous Texas election and his nearly quarter-century in Washington.

“It does give some of us a little more freedom, and certainly leverage,” he said, before invoking Mr. Trump’s notoriously heated Oval Office meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine last year. “As the president told President Zelensky when he was in his office a year or so ago — he said, ‘You don’t have any cards.’ Well, we’ve got some cards to play.”

Mr. Cornyn said he is not a “wounded bear” seeking retribution or revenge. He is determined that Republicans hold the Senate because he said he feared they would lose the House in November.

But in the interview, he gave voice in starkly candid terms to a growing sentiment among Senate Republicans that Mr.Trump was hurting his own party with self-serving decisions and his insistence on “slavish” loyalty, ultimately setting himself up for a midterm “disaster” that would pave the way for “the most miserable two years of his life.”

And in the interim, Mr. Cornyn said, he reserves the right to choose “where I’m going to — or going to not — defer” to Mr. Trump.

One of those areas appears to be the special protection from I.R.S. scrutiny that the Justice Department granted Mr. Trump and his family and businesses as part of a settlement of a lawsuit over the leak of his tax data, an exemption Mr. Cornyn said needed to be overturned.

2/3

“I think that’s a terrible mistake,” Mr. Cornyn said. “The president needs to be treated like everybody else.”

Mr. Cornyn did not elaborate on how he would seek to reverse the deal. And unlike Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, another Republican ousted in a primary by a Trump-backed challenger, he has yet to break with Mr. Trump on a major vote since his defeat. But he made it clear that he found the settlement unacceptable.

He attributed Mr. Trump’s election in part to a backlash against allegations of self-dealing in the prior administration. “To me, the message by the voter was, ‘We don’t like this,’” he said.

“We can’t replace one form of self-dealing and corruption with another.”

Mr. Cornyn, who was first elected to the Senate in 2002, knew he was going to face a difficult re-election when Mr. Paxton, a MAGA darling and Trump loyalist with a string of political and personal scandals, entered the race against him. But the more institutionalist incumbent, who came up just short of being elected majority leader after the 2024 elections, was always seen as a safer — and less expensive — general election bet than the tarnished Mr. Paxton.

The prospect of Mr. Trump’s endorsement loomed large in the race, and the Cornyn camp and his allies in the Senate pushed to secure Mr. Trump’s backing — or at minimum prevent the president from endorsing Mr. Paxton. Mr. Cornyn even brought on campaign operatives with strong ties to Mr. Trump.

But the fact that Mr. Cornyn in 2023 had expressed some misgivings about Mr. Trump running for re-election — fairly mild comments compared with some other Republicans — provided a line of attack against him by Mr. Paxton and lingered with the president.

Then, after trailing in public polls, Mr. Cornyn finished a somewhat surprising first in the initial round of voting. For a moment, it seemed that Mr. Trump, in his desire to back winners, might endorse Mr. Cornyn. But he held off.

Mr. Paxton then made what was viewed by all sides as a shrewd move: He said he would consider dropping out of the race if Senate Republicans eliminated the filibuster and passed new voting restrictions that have been a top priority of the president to try to limit midterm losses. Senate Republicans were never going to do so, though Mr. Cornyn did drop his longstanding defense of the filibuster. But the gambit seemed to reinforce Mr. Trump’s frustration with Senate Republicans, and he stayed on the sidelines as the brutal race played out in Texas.

3/3

“I had really thought that we’d gone on so long with no endorsement that he was just going to stay out of it,” Mr. Cornyn said. “But he couldn’t resist.”

On May 19, as early voting in the runoff was underway, Mr. Trump gave his public blessing to Mr. Paxton, calling him a “true MAGA warrior.” In the Senate, where Republicans had balked at gutting the filibuster and were raising objections to funding the president’s White House ballroom project, the endorsement was seen as much as a slap at them as at Mr. Cornyn. It provided a late surge for the challenger, particularly when such a small segment of voters was going to turn out in a primary runoff the day after Memorial Day.

“These are the devoted MAGA supporters, and when they saw what President Trump said when he said it, I think it no doubt had an influence,” Mr. Cornyn said. “I do think the most important factor was just the small turnout, but certainly the president’s endorsement had an impact.”

Mr. Cornyn believes that impact will reach far beyond his race. He is the epitome of a reliable conservative with what he listed as his “99.3 percent” voting record in line with the president.

Unlike Mr. Cassidy of Louisiana, he did not vote to remove Mr. Trump from office after the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the Capitol by Trump supporters. Still, he said, the president threw him under the bus.

“If he would do that to me, he would do that to anybody,” Mr. Cornyn said. “There’s never going to be good enough for him, other than 100 percent, you know, slavish adherence to whatever he wants. But obviously that’s not what the senator’s role is supposed to be, especially in terms of checks and balances.”

Mr. Cornyn stood by his attacks on Mr. Paxton and said that while he supported the party ticket, he would not campaign or raise money for his primary opponent —a loss for Mr. Paxton since Mr. Cornyn was a prolific fund-raiser.

But he fears Republicans are in for a rough midterm and Mr. Trump for a difficult final two years, in part because of self-inflicted wounds such the president’s endorsement of Mr. Paxton putting the Texas seat at risk.

“It’s going to make things harder, certainly more expensive in Texas, and make it harder around the country,” Mr. Cornyn said, predicting that Mr. Trump would come to regret his actions. “I don’t say that with any sort of desire for vengeance; I just think that’s the way it’s going to be. He’s going to have the most miserable two years of his life in the last two years of his term, I think, because I think November is going to be a disaster.”

As for himself, Mr. Cornyn is looking ahead to his remaining months in his office and life outside the Senate.

“I am going to continue to look for opportunities to make this next seven months as productive as possible,” he said, suggesting there could be positive aspects to his loss. “I’ve always said that former senators look happier, healthier, and they’re certainly more prosperous. So, I’m kind of, like, looking forward to what comes next.”(More prosperous because of all the bribes and donor money, not because they earned it.)

Trump Admin Shuts Down Mamdani’s Attempt to Meet with Foreign Leader

By Michael Schwarz, The Western Journal Jun. 12, 2026

President Donald Trump’s administration has thwarted a planned meeting between two prominent democratic socialists.

According to The Washington Post,U.S. diplomats in the Colombian capital of Bogotá told Colombian officials that a planned meeting between Democratic Mayor Zohran Mamdani of New York City and leftist Colombian President Gustavo Petro in New York this week would violate U.S.-imposed visa restrictions against Petro.

Colombian officials.took that to mean that the U.S. might arrest Petro if he went ahead with the Mamdani meeting.

Petro’s visa restrictions stem from ==comments he made outside United Nations headquarters in September 2025.

“I ask all the soldiers of the army of the U.S. not to point their rifles at humanity==,” the Colombian president said to a group of pro-Palestinian supporters.

“Disobey the orders of Trump. Obey the orders of humanity.”

“A visa is a privilege, not a right,” a State Department official told the Post. “Any individual’s U.S. visa is at risk of revocation if they visit America and outrageously implore U.S. soldiers to disobey orders of the duly elected president of the United States.”

Petro has also accused Trump of being “complicit in genocide” for supporting Israel’s war in Gaza.Trump, meanwhile, called the democratic socialist a “lunatic who’s got a lot of problems, mental problems.”

The two presidents did have what Trump characterized as a “terrific” meeting in February.

Since then, however, Petro has reportedly irritated Secretary of State Marco Rubio by criticizing U.S. boat strikes in Latin Americaand the capture earlier this year of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

According to The New York Times, theColombian president’s criticisms of the boat strikes in particular prompted sanctions from the U.S. Treasury. Federal prosecutorsalso launched an investigation into possible drug-trafficking ties.

Still, Petro has continued to criticize the Trump administration and its support for Israel.

At the UN on Wednesday, for instance, the Colombian president declared that “the state of Palestine should be free and sovereign.”

In the past, the Rubio-led State Department has not hesitated to use the revocation of visas as leverage against foreigners who express support for the Palestinian cause.

Most notably, in March 2025, federal agents arrested Rumeysa Ozturk, a Ph.D student at Tufts University in Massachusetts, who wrote a pro-Palestinian Op-Ed.

Then, in August, Rubio revoked the visas of Mahmoud Abbas, president of thePalestinian Authority, along with 80 other officials.

Trump has responded to Petro’s criticisms by endorsing the right-wing candidate in Colombia’supcoming presidential election, the Times reported.

Mamdani’s meeting with Petro had been scheduled for Friday at a university, where the mayor planned a public forum.

WHAT COULD GO WRONG? Vice President JD Vance to Appear on ‘The View’ Next Week

By Mike LaChance Jun. 11, 2026

Vice President JD Vance is going to appear on ‘The View’ next week, on Tuesday, June 16th. That should be interesting.

The View is probably the most far left ‘news’ program on television, and before you scoff at the idea of it being a news show, just remember that the show actually falls under the ABC News division. The network classifies it as a news show, which is hilarious.

The show is famous for hating Trump and getting things wrong. They constantly have to issue corrections on the air, as the show is in progress.

Vance is apparently going on the show to promote his new book, but you just know where the hosts are going to take the discussion.

Variety reports:

Vice President JD Vance will appear on “The View” on June 16, joining all six of the program’s co-hosts to discuss his new book “Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith.” This appearance will make Vance’s first on the ABC daytime staple. In addition to the book, he and the hosts — Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro — are expected to discuss priorities and goals for the administration and the latest political headlines.

Vance’s appearance on the show comes as Disney and the Trump administration are grappling over license renewals for eight ABC TV stations. The Federal Communications Commission, led by Chairman Brendan Carr, ordered the company to file for renewals years ahead of schedule. In filings, Disney has said its applications were made “under protest in response to an unlawful, arbitrary, and unconstitutional order.”

“The View,” which has thrived in recent yearswith discussion of politics, has also found itself in the administration’s cross-hairs**. The FCC has also probed whether the program has violated so-called “equal-time” election laws following the appearance of political figures, launching its investigation after James Talarico, the Democratic Senate candidate from Texas, appeared on the show in February. The FCC issued new guidance in January that late-night and daytime hosts needed to give equal time to political candidates from various parties, claiming the programs might be working along partisan lines.

Watch Whoopi announce the news below:

The ladies had better play nice with Vance. He will probably run circles around them. It’ll be fun to watch.

**That statements explains why Whoopi praised Trump going to the NY basketball game. She was very polite about Trump going to NY in the Beast for the game.

Media denies reports of $3 billion transfer to Iran

Semi-oficial Mehr News Agency denied reports that $3 billion had been transferred from the United Arab Emirates to Iran, saying none of the Islamic Republic's frozen financial assets have been released.

The response came after reports alleged that Tehran's announcement of a ceasefire followed the delivery of a US message through a Qatari delegation on June 8 and coincided with the transfer of $3 billion from Abu Dhabi to Tehran aboard an Emirati Boeing 737 aircraft.

Mehr said that, to date, none of Iran's blocked funds had been unfrozen.

Here’s What Lawmakers Are Saying About Trump’s Nominee To Replace Tulsi GabbardJune 12, 2026

Senators largely spoke highly of Trump’s pick to become the next director of National Intelligence (DNI) Thursday, but some criticized President Donald Trump for not nominating him sooner.

Trump nominated the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Jay Clayton hours after the House failed to pass a temporary extension of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), which many Democrats opposed due to the temporary nomination of Director of U.S. Federal Housing Bill Pulte to lead the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).

Senate Majority Leader JohnThunetold the Daily Caller News Foundationthat Clayton had a “great record” and urged his Democratic colleagues to support his upcoming confirmation.

“I think he’s a really good pick. He’s obviously very capable and competent and [has] a great record. So, my assumption is, and I would certainly hope that Democrats who are being objective about it are going to come to the same conclusion,” Thune said about Clayton.

Thune also told reporters that he would have preferred that Trump made the nomination earlier so the chamber could have reached a bipartisan deal on extending Section 702.

Keane issues warning on Iran: 'THEY LIE AND CHEAT'

Gen. Jack Keane (ret.) discusses the possibility of a U.S.-Iran deal, warning of Iran's deception and ceasefire violations, including attack drones in the Strait of Hormuz.

(It’s not like Trump actually trusts them and he has l made it clear. Keane never gets off this, even if Trump defeats them forever, Keane is paranoid and repeats this all the time. It’s true, but the CiC knows what he’s doing; but Keane is such a fanatic he seems to assume Trump is handling this wrong. If Trump bombed the entire country that wouldn’t be enough for this old dog)

Pompeo: This is a ‘POWERFUL FORCE’ against Iran’s regime

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo analyzes the implications for Middle East stability, discussing Iran’s vulnerability,

(Nobody in DC is asking for his advice, but he keeps giving his advice. One of the biggest betrayer of Trump and America is still trying to prove his advice is better than what Trump and the Military knows or are doing. And Fox keeps on interviewing him.Where does Pompeo stay these days, is he still in Ukraine. it’s interesting Fox keeps inviting all the traitors that tried to destroy Trump in his first term. Most Fox hosts don’t like Trump, it’s obvious. So smarty pants Pompeo gets to give advice when the CiC and Military know a lot more. He was better looking as a fat man.)

Vance doesn’t do anything without a purpose. So Vance is really a polite gentleman. I wonder if he’s showing up on the view to prove to the women audience of America, that he and Trump love and respect the all women, and break the hex of those witches of the View, who have programmed the women to hate Trump and him.

Vance can and will, convince the women in the audience that Trump and him are not as bad as what the View has said for 8 years..

It’s a pretty good plan or just my theory!

Guy’s explanation was fantastic, exposing leftists American writers that hate America and wanting to destroy our celebrations. Sports and everything we celebrate. It’s pretty sad the enemies of America were born here and are writing, we are a wretched country when the whole world is looking forward to the World Cup games in America. (Everyone of them should get a free visa to be shipped off to the EU to enjoy the complete destruction of democracy there. They wouldn’t enjoy that but they would agree with it.

We have a lot of nuts and anti American haters born here, we should give them a one way flight to whatever hell hole they enjoy around the world.

Why can’t we celebrate Straight Non Gay Americans every years. We are diversity too! Trump should create this holiday the day before the perverse gay pride day.At least the gay day is not a national Holiday, right its not a national holiday right?

Agreed, ever since Trump stopped being interviewed to Brett and the Big stars at Fox, andTrump and Vance calls Trey Yingst often, Fox had to find something for Brett to do, did you know he’s the top star at Fox.

Personally after the night of the 2020 election, I’ve hated or very much disliked Fox, the Traitors like Brett of America and Trump. Now Brett can talk about extraterrestrial bs, because it’s easy to lie about that
