It has now emerged that this was not the first time Mr Ogilvie has suffered a horrific attack.

As first reported by The Scottish Sun, drug dealer David McLeave tortured Mr Ogilvie at a flat in Livingston in 2001.

Mr Ogilvie, who is originally from Northern Ireland, was living in Scotland and staying with McLeave.

McLeave, aged 21 at the time, gave Mr Ogilvie the “date rape drug” GHB and placed a lit cigarette between his toes.

He then removed Mr Ogilvie’s clothes, doused him in aftershave and set him on fire.

The victim woke up to find his head and groin on fire. The attack was recorded on video.

One person was injured when a bridge collapsed in rural Northern California, specifically near Covelo in Mendocino County, causing a car to fall into the riverbed below. The driver suffered minor injuries, and the bridge remains impassable.
