US-Israeli ‘good cop, bad cop’ tactics outdated – Iran’s chief negotiator

Mohammad Ghalibaf has condemned West Jerusalem’s continued bombings of Lebanon amid Washington’s diplomatic push

The US and Israel’s “good cop, bad cop” strategy for diplomacy while allowing continued Israeli attacks is outdated, Iran’s chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said on Sunday, shortly after a deadly strike on Lebanon.

At least three people were killed in the Israeli attack on southern Beirut earlier in the day, just ahead of an anticipated US-Iran agreement, which Tehran has long insisted should include an end to hostilities in Lebanon. The proposed agreement has reportedly been viewed by many Israeli officials as a capitulation to Iran.

“The Zionists’ invasion of Dahiyeh has once again shown that America either lacks the will to fulfill its commitments or the ability to do so,” Ghalibaf said on X.

By giving the green light to the regime, you cannot gain concessions. The game of good cop and bad cop is outdated. If you do not have the will and ability to fulfill your obligations, it is not possible to talk about moving forward.

According to Lebanese state news agency NNA, the Israeli strike killed at least three people and injured 15 others. The IDF claimed to have been targeting a Hezbollah command center.

The attack “should not have happened,” US President Donald Trump said on Truth Social, calling on Hezbollah and Israel to halt their tit-for-tat exchanges.

“We are very close to a Deal that will bring peace to the region, including to Lebanon, and all sides should stand down,” he wrote.

Just a day earlier, he announced that the US and Iran would ink a deal on Sunday that would reopen the Strait of Hormuz and decide the fate of Tehran’s enriched uranium stockpile.

‘Trump screwed us:’ Israeli officials fume over emerging Iran peace deal – media

The agreement will be interpreted as the US bowing to pressure from Tehran, according to Ynet sources

Israeli officials feel sidelined by the emerging US-Iran peace deal and are furious with what they believe amounts to a “catastrophe” that fails the objectives set prior to the war, according to a report by the Israeli outlet Ynet.

According to the reported terms, the agreement would reopen the Strait of Hormuz without a toll regime, lift the American naval blockade on Iranian ports, ease sanctions on Tehran, and defer nuclear talks to later. While US President Donald Trump said the agreement would be signed on Sunday, Iranian officials said it would happen later.

Tehran has also insisted that the deal end the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon, where Israeli forces have occupied a significant chunk of territory. At the same time, whereas US officials seek an agreement that underlines “broad regional peace” – including in Lebanon – they insist that Israel reserves its right to self-defense.

However, Ynet, citing multiple senior Israeli officials, reported on Saturday that West Jerusalem believes that the agreement taking shape falls short on every major Israeli redline: nuclear dismantlement, missile limits, and the rollback of Iran’s regional allies. Tehran has repeatedly said it does not seek nuclear weapons and uses its atomic capabilities for peaceful purposes only.

“Trump screwed us,” one Israeli official told Ynet. A second official called the deal “very bad.” “From our perspective, it is a catastrophe, because it does not meet any of the principles we spoke about when the war began,” he said.

A third official warned the deal would be widely interpreted as a setback for America. “The regional working assumption is that it was signed under Iranian pressure and an American climbdown, not the other way around,” the official said, adding that the agreement “will be considered a failure,” at least in the short term.

Publicly, however, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “expressed his appreciation” for President Trump’s commitment that the deal would “include the removal of enriched material” from Iran while stressing that his country is not a party to the agreement.

Behind the scenes, however, a different picture emerges, with Trump yelling at Netanyahu in early June and calling him “f**king crazy” over Israelʼs strikes in Lebanon, according to Axios. The outlet also claimed that Trump threatened to withdraw support for Israel if it restarts the war with Iran. Publicly, Trump also stressed that Netanyahu has no other choice but to accept a US-Iran deal.

The reported tensions between the two leaders come as Trump has received flak for what his critics describe as a successful Israeli ploy to draw the US into war with Iran. The military campaign drew the ire of some of Trump’s staunchest supporters, including conservative journalist Tucker Carlson, who called it the “single biggest mistake” of Trump’s presidency.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський

@ZelenskyyUa

Our warriors have achieved good results in applying long-range sanctions against important facilities on the territory of Russia and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

More than 700 kilometers from our state border, in Russia’s Yaroslavl region, SSU warriors that was important for the reserves of the aggressor state.

Warriors of our army reached their targets in Russia’s Tula region – specifically, the Azot plant, whose operations are critical to explosives production capabilities.

Air traffic restrictions were imposed at six Russian airports, and overall, since yesterday evening, 28 regions of Russia have been under air raid alerts.

There were also hits on the occupier’s military logistics in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.

Ukraine is carrying out its plan of long-range sanctions against Russia and the assigned tasks regarding mid-range strikes in response to Russia’s refusal to end this war. We have offered the Russian leadership every possible format for negotiations – and the only response was continued aggression and attempts to expand it. It stands to reason that the war is coming back to where it came from. Ukraine needs peace. Glory to Ukraine!

Israel braces for Iranian missile fire after strike on Hezbollah target in Beirut

Tehran warns attack ‘will not go unanswered’; IDF says it hit command center in Lebanese capital’s southern suburbs, reportedly killing three

Israel was bracing for Iranian missile fire on Sunday after Tehran vowed that an Israeli Air Force strike on a Hezbollah target in Beirut’s southern suburbs earlier in the day would “not go unanswered.”

The strike in the Lebanese capital’s Dahiyeh district came shortly after Hezbollah fired drones into Israeli territory.

It was Israel’s first strike in a week in the Hezbollah stronghold, with the previous strike also a response to rocket fire on northern Israel. That attack led Hezbollah sponsor Iran to fire missiles at Israel, incurring Israeli airstrikes on the Islamic Republic. The two sides then halted their one-day clash under pressure from the US.

This time, too, the IDF said on Sunday afternoon that it was preparing for the likelihood of Iranian missile fire on Israel in the coming hours, with the Home Front Command adjusting guidelines for civilians to reflect this.

“The IDF has just struck Hezbollah terror targets in the Dahiyeh district of Beirut, in response to Hezbollah’s firing at Israeli territory,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz said in a joint statement after the strike on the Hezbollah stronghold.

Secret Service Agent on Vance’s Detail Arrested After Undercover Cop Caught Him in the Act

A gunman got within 45 yards of the White House Correspondents' Dinner before he tripped and fell.

Now the agency charged with keeping JD Vance alive just put one of his own bodyguards in handcuffs.

And what that agent allegedly did – caught in a sting operation by police – tells you everything about how deep the rot goes.

Secret Service Agent Drug Arrest Rocks Vance Protective Detail

A Secret Service agent assigned to Vice President JD Vance's personal protective detail has been placed on administrative leave and is under internal investigation after being caught by an undercover police officer in what sources describe as either a drug purchase or a drug sale, RealClearPolitics reported.

The Secret Service has not released the agent's name.

The agency confirmed it placed the agent on administrative leave "in recent weeks," according to sources in the Secret Service community.

A drug arrest is one of two fresh scandals inside the agency breaking simultaneously.

In a separate incident, Secret Service agent Marquez Pinder – an alumnus of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity at Florida International University – is under criminal investigation for allegedly overseeing a hazing incident so violent that a pledge was hospitalized with kidney damage.

Both landed on administrative leave in the same week – and in the same RealClearPolitics report published June 11.

Marsha Blackburn Demands Secret Service Audit as Scandals Mount

This is not an isolated incident or simply a bad week.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn put it on the record in a formal letter to Secret Service Director Sean Curran last month.

"It is blatantly clear that the Secret Service needs to be cleaned up," Blackburn wrote. "Unless you root out the rot, our nation will suffer the consequences."

The Tennessee Republican demanded an immediate, full audit of every single employee on the agency's payroll.

She wasn't overreacting.

Consider what the agency has produced in recent months.

A Uniformed Division officer was arrested in Miami – found naked in a hallway, masturbating.

An agent assigned to Trump's detail secretly married a Brazilian foreign national, hid it from the agency for nine months, and triggered a federal clearance investigation into whether her new husband had overstayed his visa.

A Secret Service gunfight near the Washington Monument put a juvenile bystander in the hospital with a stray bullet.

And a gunman sprinted to within 45 yards of the ballroom stairs at the White House Correspondents' Dinner – the third assassination attempt against President Trump – before he tripped and went down.

Director Curran called that security setup "perfect."

More than 475k children trafficked to US under Biden, 300k unaccounted for, DOJ says

Once UACs arrive in the U.S., federal law requires that their oversight and care be administered by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Administration for Children and Families

Acting U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche dropped a bombshell of data on Thursday describing Trump administration efforts to find hundreds of thousands of missing unaccompanied alien children (UACs). UACs are minors trafficked to the U.S. border and smuggled into the U.S. under the guise of reuniting with family. In reality, many have been trafficked through a complex network run by transnational criminal organizations.

More than 475,000 UACs were trafficked to the U.S. during the Biden administration. More than 300,000 were unaccounted as of the end of 2024, Blanche said at a press conference in Washington, D.C.

“The way that this happened is criminals trafficked these children to the border usually committing fraud to do so,” he said. “Oftentimes the children were abused, assaulted and certainly exploited.”

Once UACs arrive in the U.S., federal law requires that their oversight and care be administered by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Administration for Children and Families. The ORR has historically sent the majority of children to live with so-called sponsors.

Under the Biden administration, ORR often placed UACs with unvetted sponsors, background checks weren’t performed, UACs were released to alleged gang members, human traffickers, non-family members and sent to non-residential addresses, federal inspector general audits and a Florida grand jury found, The Center Square reported.

“In some cases, individuals would sponsor multiple children, which required them to lie to government personnel and on government forms claiming they were close relatives when in fact they were not,” Blanche said. “They would use fake or stolen identities and make other false claims during the application process in order to obtain custody of the children.”

The crimes committed against hundreds of thousands of children are a direct result of the federal government failing “to protect our borders,” Blanche said. As a result, “it is the most vulnerable who suffer.”

Last fall, the Trump administration launched a welfare check initiative with multiple federal agencies attempting to locate the UACs, The Center Square reported. The Trump administration is also still releasing UACs to sponsors.

U.S. attorneys nationwide are prosecuting human traffickers and smugglers, including of UACs, as well as those who put UACs into forced labor and sex trafficking schemes.

There are more than 15,500 super-sponsor cases the DOJ has identified along with the Department of Homeland Security, Blanche said. Super-sponsor cases involve individuals who sponsor more than three unrelated UACs. The cases involve sexual assault of children, “the stuff of nightmares,” he said.

Secretary of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin said, “When we started digging into these cases, we started hearing the absolute horrific things that took place under the Biden administration. It was true neglect, at best, and criminal, at worst, to allow 450,000 kids to go missing throughout this country.”

Thanks to Congress fulling funding federal immigration enforcement over the next three years, he said, “We're able to push and go find these kids.”

So far, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, DHS, the DOJ and other agencies have found 146,000 UACs, Mullin said. “We still have nearly 300,000 missing.”

“We're investigating reports” in response to children claiming “they've been raped 600 to 700 times,” he said.

“I don't care who you are. I don't care if you have kids, you don't have kids. I don't care if you're a liberal, you're an Independent, you're a Democrat, you're a Republican. If you can't stand for law enforcement to go find these kids, who are you?”

Twelve people killed in Missouri plane crash, state highway patrol says

All 12 people on board the light aircraft died, officials confirmed.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash occurred near the Butler Memorial Airport.

"At this time reports indicate all occupants (12 total) have perished," the agency wrote in a post on X/Twitter.

The plane that crashed was a Pacific Aerospace 750XL, a single-engine turboprop that is popular for skydiving, the Associated Press noted.

The plane was taking people to skydive, Patrol Sergeant Justin Ewing told the media.

Emergency responders received a call at approximately 11:30 a.m. that the plane was down and engulfed in fire, Ewing added, calling the scene "brutal."

"It landed in a field adjacent to the airport, but I think they're shutting down the roadway just as a precaution," AP cited Ewing as saying.

Butler is about 60 miles south of Kansas City, Missouri.
