Trump calls on "all sides" to "stand down" after Israel strikes Beirut

President Trump said "all sides should stand down" after Israel struck a Beirut suburb. Israel said the strike was in response to an attack by Hezbollah, and that it was targeting a command center for the terror group.Tehran warned Sunday that the Beirut attack could threaten a possible truce between the U.S. and Iran.

"This morning's attack on Beirut should not have happened, particularly on a special day when we are so close to a Peace Deal with Iran," Mr. Trump wrote on TruthSocial. "Israel has the right to defend itself against threats, but the attack it was responding to was very small and meaningless, nobody was hurt, injured, or killed, and should not disrupt this important process."

Mr. Trump repeated that the U.S. and Iran are "very close to a Deal that will bring peace to the region, including to Lebanon."

"There should be no more attacks by Israel anywhere in Lebanon, but there should also be no more attacks by any other party, including Hezbollah, against Israel," Mr Trump wrote. "This could be the beginning of a long and beautiful peace —Let's not blow it!"

After Israel struck a Beirut suburb last week, Iran responded with attacks on Israel. The Israel Defense Forces said Sunday it is prepared for an attack from Iran.

The Israel Defense Forces struck Beirut on Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz announced in a joint statement.

The IDF said in a statement that it "precisely struck a Hezbollah infrastructure site in Dahieh, Beirut."The army later described the site as a command center "used by Hezbollah terrorists to advance terrorist attacks against the citizens of the State of Israel and IDF soldiers operating in southern Lebanon."

The IDF said it used precise munitions and aerial surveillance as part of an effort to "mitigate harm to civilians."

The ministers said the strike was in response to fire from the Iran-backed terror group. Tehran has insisted that any U.S.-Iran ceasefire deal must also include an end to Israeli strikes in Lebanon.

Which one looks better and healthier? Not the Fat Person.

Obese NYT reporter Katie Rogers attacks Trump for his (remarkable) health at 80.

Here’s the attempted hit piece from Katie.

Trump at 80: A President ‘Really Uncomfortable’ With Aging

Even for a president known for imposing his own reality on every situation, Mr. Trump has not outrun scrutiny over his age.

He stays up late, phoning lawyers and lawmakers, while posting up to 150 times a night on Truth Social. His mornings involve calls with world leaders about the war in the Middle East,or talks with landscapers about replanting a bothersome tree.

When he arrives in the Oval Office, his unstructured days unfold like a time-lapse video, with people zipping around him as he stays seated at the center of the frame.

As President Trump turns 80 on Sunday, he is so intent on projecting an image of relentless energythat he has installed a massive, mixed martial arts octagon on the South Lawn to mark the occasion. After watching the fight, Mr. Trump will depart Washington in the middle of the night and cross an ocean for a diplomatic summit in France. It is a schedule that seems devised to ward off questions about age and stamina as he begins his ninth decade.

But even for a president known for imposing his own reality on every situation, Mr. Trump is facing scrutiny over his age that has grown more intense with each passing year.

A Reuters/Ipsos poll taken in February showed that nearly six in 10 Americans think Mr. Trump is growing more erratic.

The NYTs can’t possibly celebrate the USA on this weekend, they are too incapable of ever praising our Country The United States of America or the President of the United States which tells you how ugly and bitter the NYTs are about their own miserable lives!
