Iran-US MoU says attacks on Iran, allies would halt talks - IRGC outlet

A last-minute addition to the Iran-US understanding says any war or military operation in Iran or against Iran’s regional allied groups, including Lebanon, would halt negotiations on a final agreement, IRGC-affiliated Tasnim news agency reported, citing a source close to Iran’s negotiating team.

“The important meaning of this development is that if war or any military operation, such as assassination and so on, takes place in Iran or the resistance front, including Lebanon, then under the memorandum of understanding, no negotiations for a final agreement will take place, and naturally the implementation of the memorandum of understanding, including the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, will be halted under Article 13,” Tasnim quoted the source as saying.

(Hmm Trump is right again)

LIVE UPDATES

UPDATED MON, JUN 15 202612:52 PM

Dow jumps 700 points to record with rally gaining steam after Trump signs Iran deal memorandum: Live updates

(Hmm all the negative projections on the stock market was nonsense.)

Stocks rose on Monday to kick off the holiday-shortened trading week as SpaceXextended its rally and after President Donald Trumpannounced that an agreement had been reached to end the war between the U.S. and Iran.

The Dow Jones Industrial Averageadded 702 points, or 1.4%. The 30-stock index hit a new all-time intraday high during the session. The S&P 500 climbed 1.9%, while the Nasdaq Composite popped 3%.

SpaceX shares popped more than 10% after soaring 19% in their public market debut on Friday.

“It seems to be much more orderly than what I expected, and that’s not a bad thing,” said Brian Mulberry, chief market strategist at Zacks Investment Management. “This is not some type of a meme stock right out of the gate, that it actually is people adding it and holding it in their portfolio, not trying to turn it over.”

Trump said late Sunday on social media that a deal with Iran was “now complete.” The memorandum of understanding will be formally signed on Friday in Switzerland, according to Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. It has already been signed electronically, per a senior administration official.

“It seems real this time as both rates and oil have broken through key levels,” Mulberry said. The development “should alleviate pressure on the FOMC commentary, and that is good news long term for this market.”

The announcementcame after an exchange of fire between Israel and the Tehran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon raised uncertainty overwhether the agreement would get across the finish line on Sunday.

Trump also said he authorized the reopening of the key Strait of Hormuz passageway, sending oil prices tumbling. On Monday, Vice President JD Vance told CNBC that he expects the strait is “going to be opened in a toll-free way for the long term.” U.S. crude was last down 5% to around $80 per barrel.

While Mulberry noted that it will likely take a “little bit longer” for prices to come down on refined products such as jet fuel, the price of crude falling to $80 is “a strong signal, given that this is an FOMC week, that we don’t need to raise rates [and] that the price pressure should alleviate relatively quickly.”

Fed funds futuresindicate a more than 98% chance of ending the year with rates unchanged, according to CME’s FedWatch tool.

Trump negotiators to visit Moscow after birthday call with Putin

Sun, June 14, 2026 at 3:24 PM

Donald Trump's top negotiators will travel to Moscow after Vladimir Putin rang the US president on his 80th birthday to discuss Ukraine and Iran, according to the Kremlin.

Steve Witkoff, Mr Trump's special envoy, and Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law,are expected to return to Russia "soon", Yuri Ushakov, Putin's foreign policy aide, said.

The two men arecurrently involved in the US push for an Iran agreement, and there was no independent confirmation of Moscow's claim that a visit had been arranged for them.

Nor was there any suggestion from Kyiv or Washington that Mr Witkoff and Mr Kushner would also travel to Ukraine.

"The conversation focused on thesituation surrounding the memorandum of understanding being draftedbetween the United States and Iran," Mr Ushakov told reporters. "Donald Trump said an agreement is close." (Cool Russia is mediating, they have Iran as a friend)

The Kremlin alsosaid the two leaders discussed the war in Ukraine.Moscow's apparent charm offensivecomes as Mr Trump prepares to meet Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders at the G7 summit in Evian, France, which starts on Monday. (Zelensky was not scheduled to meet with Trump at all.)

TheUkrainian president said he had also spoken to Mr Trumpon Sunday in what Mr Zelensky's office described as a "substantive" 30 to 35-minute conversationabout "diplomacy and war/peace".

"I congratulated President Trump on his birthday, and we have had quite a detailed discussion about many key things – peace, surely, was among them," the Ukrainian president wrote on X.

He said he had updated Mr Trump about "the latest developments on the battlefield and how our position has strengthened", and promised that thetwo men would discuss "good ideas that could help advance peace and protect lives" at the G7.

Mr Trump has agreed to take part in a working session on Ukraine with Mr Zelensky on Tuesday.A senior US administration official said no formal bilateral meeting between the two men was scheduled.

The talks come after US-led attempts to broker an end to Russia's invasion were pushed down the agenda by the war with Iran.

Mr Trump has repeatedly said he wants to end the conflict quickly, but has angered Kyiv and European alliesby pressing Ukraine to consider concessions to Russia.

His relations with Mr Zelensky remain bruised after a tense White House meeting last year when the Ukrainian leader was publicly berated in scenes that alarmed European capitals.

Putin, by contrast, has continued to pursue direct channels to the White Housewhile rejecting a European role in any settlement.

The Kremlin announcementappeared designed to show that Moscow still has access to Mr Trump's inner circleon the eve of a G7 summit expected to be dominated by Ukraine and Iran.

European leaders will be keen to avoid Washingtononce again cutting a deal over their heads.

Thediplomacy came as thousands of anti-G7 protesters marched through Geneva, where many leaders arrived before travelling on to Evian.Demonstrators view the summit as a symbol ‌of overly concentrated political and economic power.

Police put the crowd at up to 7,000 as the procession started, while AFP journalists later estimated it at closer to 15,000. A Tesla was set alight as delegations arrived for the summit under tight security.

Russian Orthodox Church leader blesses foundation of church in honor of revered saint (VIDEO)

A church named after St. John of Kronstadt will be built in a St. Petersburg monastery he founded

Published 14 Jun, 2026 23:15 |

The head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill, has blessed the foundation stone for a future church dedicated to St. John of Kronstadt. One of the most beloved and influential Orthodox priests, St. John of Kronstadt was known for his tireless pastoral and charitable work in the late 19th century.

The church will be located at the St. John Convent, a women’s monastery in the center of St. Petersburgthat St. John of Kronstadt founded in the early 20th century, several years before his death. The saint was also buried there in accordance with his wishes.

The monastery was closed in 1923 by the Soviet authorities and was restored and reopened in 1989. It has had no churches dedicated to its founder, which officially canonized by the Russian Orthodox Church in 1990 as two of its churches were consecrated after the Bulgarian 10th century hermit, Saint John of Rila and the twelve Apostles, respectively.

The construction of the new church was sponsored by Russian billionaire property developer, God Nisanov, who is known for his charitable projects and philanthropy, including donations to children’s health care funds and co-sponsoring the Rzhev Memorial to the Soviet soldiers who died fighting the Nazis in World War II.

The construction of the new church is expected to be completed in 2028.

St. John of Kronstadt served as a parish priest at St. Andrew’s Cathedral in Kronstadt, a naval port near St. Petersburg, for more than 50 years in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, eventually attaining the rank of archpriest and becoming a member of the Most Holy Synod, the Russian Orthodox Church’s governing body at the time.

He became widely known for offering both spiritual guidance and practical assistance to hospitals and shelters, as well as to workers and prisoners. He founded numerous charitable institutions, including schools and orphanages, which provided food, medical assistance and care to those in need. The faithful also believed he was able to heal people with his prayers.

St. Petersburg Governor Aleksandr Beglov said thatSt. John of Kronstadt is also regarded as a patron saint of the city. The new church in his honor is a “major step” in strengthening Russia’s spiritual values and St. Petersburg’s historical memory, he added.

Germany misses Nazism – Lavrov

Berlin’s growing military partnership with Kiev shows its Nazi instincts never truly disappeared, the Russian foreign minister said

Published 15 Jun, 2026 18:02

Germany is proving that it misses its Nazi past by continuing to expand military cooperation with Ukraine, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said.

Speaking to journalists on Monday,Lavrov pointed to recent remarks by German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, who said German troops would cooperate more closely with the Ukrainian militaryon gleaning lessons from the battlefield.

In other words, with the new Nazis,” Lavrov said, suggesting that “Germany has longed for the Nazi Emblems and Nazi behavior currently displayed by the Ukrainian army and the so-called nationalist battalions.”

He added thatGermany is now “throwing off the veil” that had been concealing its “Nazi roots and its Nazi instincts, which, as it turns out, had never gone away.”

Lavrov also took aim at EuropeanCommission President Ursula von der Leyen, saying she is not called “Fuhrer” for nothing. He accused the EU leadership of presentingKiev’s war effort as a defense of “European values” while ignoring Ukraine’s persecution of Russian speakers.

“Ukraine is fighting and dying for European values,” Lavrov said, paraphrasing von der Leyen’s past statements. “Put two and two together, and it turns out that European values include the complete deprivation of rights for Russians and Russian-speaking people,” including in education, media and culture.

Moscow has long condemned Kiev for openly glorifying Nazi collaborators, tolerating extremist symbols among Ukrainian nationalist units and systematically suppressing the Russian language, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and Russian-linked culture. Kiev has defended the policies as necessary for national security.

Lavrov’s comments come as Germany has deepened its military role in the conflict while promising to turn the Bundeswehr into Europe’s strongest conventional army. Berlin has also been one of Kiev’s biggest weapons suppliers and has pledged to expand training ties with the Ukrainian military.

German officials have also repeatedly said the country must be “war-ready” for a possible conflict with Russia by 2029. Berlin has moved to expand military service, boost arms procurement, and increase defense spending.

Moscow has consistently stressed that it has no intention of attacking NATO or the EU unless attacked first. Lavrov has previously accused Germany and the wider EU of sliding into what he has called a “Fourth Reich,” arguing that European leaders are using the Ukraine conflict to revive militarism and pursue the strategic defeat of Russia.

Russian MOD confirms strikes on Ukrainian military facilities: What we know so far

Amalfunctioning Patriot interceptorfired by Ukrainian air defense forceshas struck a historic monastery in Kiev, Moscow says

Published 15 Jun, 2026 07:35 | Upda

Russian forces have carried out long-range attacks on military-industrial facilities in three major Ukrainian cities, as well as airfields and conscription offices, the Defense Ministry in Moscow announced on Monday morning.

The strikes involved drones and missiles fired from air-, land-, and sea-based platforms, the ministry said, adding that all designated targets were hit.

In a more detailed follow-up statement, the Russian military said a total of 16 industrial targets were hit, including a plant producing drone warheads and boosters for Ukraine’s flagship Flamingo cruise missiles.

The statement also mentioned a strike on apostal terminal in Kiev, stressing that it was used for military logistics, delivering parts for drones, and electronic warfare systems.

Similarly, Moscow said a cinema studio in Kiev was struck because Ukrainian forces used the facility to program kamikaze drones for attacks on Russia.

Ukrainian sources earlier reported attacks in Kiev, Kharkov, and Dnepr, the cities named in the Russian statement. The Ukrainian military said it had detected 70 incoming missiles and more than 600 drones. Officials also reported a partial power outage in Kiev and disruptions to rail services.

During the barrage, Ukrainian media published footage showing a fire at one of the cathedrals of the Kiev-Pechersk Monastery. Reports claimed the blaze was linked to the Russian operation.

The Russian ministry reiterated that it does not target sites with no military value and has blamed the damage on the monastery on a US-made Patriot interceptor missile. The statement suggested that the projectile may have malfunctioned due to old age.

Kiev has repeatedly complained of a shortage of Western-supplied air defense systemsand of the need to conserve expensive anti-missile munitions, including Patriots.

The Kiev-Pechersk Monastery has itself been at the center of a prolonged dispute over control of its property. Ukrainian authorities have been pushing for church assets to be transferred from the historic Ukrainian Orthodox Church to either the government-backed Orthodox Church of Ukraine or the state.

The Russian strikes come amid an escalation in long-range attacks by both sides.Kiev is reportedly seeking another $20 billion from Western backers to expand drone operations against Russia.

Last week, a Ukrainian strike caused major damage to a museum in Sevastopol dedicated to the defense of the Crimean Peninsuladuring the 19th-century war with Türkiye, Britain, and France.

The reported Russian attacks on Ukrainian conscription centerscame hours after a large protest in Kiev, said to have been sparked by forced mobilization. The rare mass demonstration was broken up by riot police, who used tear gas to disperse the crowd, according to local media.

Son of Norwegian crown princess jailed for rape

The verdict comes as Mette-Marit herself faces renewed scrutiny over her past contacts with Jeffrey Epstein

Published 15 Jun, 2026 12:3

The son of Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marithas been sentenced to four years in prison for rape. The verdict comes as the country’s monarchy has been caught up in an ongoing scandalover the princess’ links to late US sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Marius Borg Hoiby, 29, was found guilty on Monday by the Oslo District Court of two counts of rape, domestic violence, and several other offenses. He was acquitted of two other rape charges.

Hoiby is Mette-Marit’s son from a relationship before she married Crown Prince Haakon, heir to the Norwegian throne, in 2001. According to Norwegian media, Hoiby’s father, Morten Borg, also has a criminal past and was convicted on drug-related offenses in the 1990s and was reportedly in prison around the time of Marius’ birth.

AlthoughHoiby holds no royal title and performs no official duties, he grew up inside the royal householdalongside his half-siblings, and this proximity to the royal family has brought international attention to the case.

The trial has exposed allegations of drug abuse, violent relationships, and sexual misconduct, contradicting the polished image of one of Europe’s more low-key monarchies.

Prosecutors said Hoiby sexually assaulted women who were asleep or otherwise unable to resist between 2018 and 2024. One of the rapes for which he was convicted reportedly took place in the basement of Skaugum, the official residence of Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit.

The court also convicted him of abusing his former girlfriend, assaulting another partner, drug offenses, and trafficviolations. He denied the rape charges while admitting to cocaine use and assault.

Crown Prince Haakon has tried to distance the royal house from the case, saying Hoiby is not a member of the royal familyand is accountable like any other Norwegian citizen.

The scandal comes as Hoiby’s mother, Mette-Marit, who suffers from pulmonary fibrosis and was recently placed on a national lung transplant list, has continued to face backlash over her close relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

According to the Epstein files, the crown princess exchanged hundreds of emails with the sex offender between 2011 and 2014 and had even stayed at his Florida home for four days. The exchanges took place years after Epstein had admitted to soliciting a minor for prostitution.

The correspondence, personal and at times flirtatious, showed that their relationship lasted much longer than the palace had publicly claimed.Mette-Marit has since apologized for what she has called poor judgment, saying she should have investigated Epstein’s background more thoroughly.

Trump praises Putin and Xi over Iran peace deal

Moscow has repeatedly urged Washington and Tehran to de-escalate while maintaining contact with all parties in the conflict

Published 15 Jun, 2026 08:30

US President Donald Trump has praised Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping for their roles in bringing about a peace settlement with Iran.Moscow has repeatedly offered its mediation services and urged all sides to de-escalate.

Trump made the remarks on Sunday in an interview with the New York Times, hours after he announced that Washington and Tehran have reached a Pakistani- and Qatari-mediated deal to end the conflict.

According to several media reports, a 14-point memorandum of understanding includes provisions on the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz without tolls, easing of US sanctions, and unfreezing of Iranian assets, with a formal signing ceremony to take place in Geneva on Friday.Iran is also expected to reaffirm its pledge to abstain from nuclear weapons, with final nuclear talks to conclude within 60 days.

Trump subsequently praised Putin and Xi for their input in negotiations. He described Xi as “a total gentleman,” noting that China “did not send a tanker, along with 20 destroyers on each side of it, to try and break up the blockade,” which could have brought Washington and Beijing to the brink of an open conflict.

Like China,Russia consistently called for de-escalation from the early days of the US-Israeli war on Iran, with Moscow denouncing the strikes as an “unprovoked act of armed aggression.”

Since the start of hostilities in late February, Putin and Trump have spoken by phone at least three times– in March, in late April when Trump saidPutin had offered to help end the war, and again on Sunday, when the two discussed the near-finalized memorandum, according to Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov.

Moscow also put forward a nuclear compromise, offering to transport and store Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile on Russian soil. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed the proposal had been discussed, but said Tehran was not yet ready to put it on the agenda while thanking “Russian friends for their offer and for their intention to help resolve this problem.”

Amid a hike in oil prices caused by disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz,Putin earlier this month pushed back against what he called “speculation” that Russia had emerged as a sole financial winner from the conflict. “The oil rally is taking place, but it is temporary and short-term. Meanwhile, we would like to build relationships with our partners on a long-term basis…In this case, we are interested in the end of the conflict, and as soon as possible,” he said.

(Note: Trump never sought info from Bibi. I think this will be the last time Bibi can use Iran enemy, to get the U.S. to destroy them. I’m glad Trump, Putin and Chi can advise each other in very difficult and dangerous matters as this was.)

Poland gives Zelensky ‘a few more days’ to renounce Nazi collaborators

Warsaw has demanded that Kiev stop honoring the paramilitary group behind massacres of Poles during World War II

Published 15 Jun, 2026 01:55 | Updated

(Poland was the biggest supporter of Ukraine! Thats over!)

Polish President Karol Nawrocki has given Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky“a few more days” to renounce the honoring of nationalist militias that massacred Poles during World War II,officials said.

The diplomatic feud between the neighboring countries erupted last monthwhen Zelensky renamed an elite commando unit after “the heroes of the UPA,” referring to the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, the military wing of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN).

The OUN sought to create an ethnically homogeneous Ukrainian state, and in its documents, labeled Poles, Russians, Jews, and other minorities as enemies. The group collaborated with Nazi Germany during the initial stage of its invasion of the Soviet Union. The UPA, created in October 1942 following a split with the Germans, killed up to 100,000 Polish civilians in what is now western Ukraine. Poland recognizes the massacres as genocide.

Nawrocki backed an initiative by Polish MP Grzegorz Placzek to revoke Zelensky’s Order of the White Eagle, Poland’s highest state distinction, which was awarded to the Ukrainian leader by then-President Andrzej Duda in 2023.

According to Rzeczpospolita, Nawrocki wants to demonstrate that he is “not acting on emotion” and that the timegiven to the Ukrainian leader to rectify the situation is “not unlimited.” The newspaper reported that the deadline is “measured more in days than in weeks.”

The ball is in Ukraine’s court. If there is no positive response, the procedure will conclude with a decision by the president,”Marcin Przydacz, the head of the presidential International Policy Office, said at a press conference on Thursday.

Speaking to TV Republika on Friday, presidential spokesman Rafal Leskiewicz saidNawrocki expects Zelensky to reverse the “shameful act.”

“We will wait a few more days. Let’s not give in to pressure,” he added.

Poland is one of Ukraine’s most vocal supporters in the conflict with Russia. The country serves as a hub for the training of Ukrainian troops and the delivery of weapons to Kiev.

The UPA and other World War II-era nationalist groups are officially celebrated as freedom fighters in Ukraine. Streets and buildings are named after them, while a torchlit procession is held in Kiev every January 1 to mark the birthday of Stepan Bandera, one of the OUN leaders.

Russia has long protested against the glorification of Nazi collaborators in Ukraine and has listed ‘denazification’ as one of its goals in the conflict.

EU nation to demand compensation for weapons donated to Ukraine

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has accused the previous government oflying to Slovaks about the Ukraine aid deal

Published 14 Jun, 2026 19:30 |

Slovakia will demand compensation from the EU for weapons it donated to Ukraine, Prime Minister Robert Fico has announced. The previous government lied about the aid deal, he said in a video address published on Facebook on Sunday.

Fico halted all state-sponsored military aid and weapons transfers to Kiev after coming to power in 2023. He has argued that the government of hispredecessor, Eduard Heger, left Slovakia “completely naked” by donating fighter jets and air-defense systems to Ukraine.

In the year following the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in 2022, Heger’s cabinetapproved deliveries of dozens of Soviet-era tanks and infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine. The donated equipment also included Soviet MiG-29 jets and S-300 missile systems.Bratislava handed over equipment worth around €700 million ($809.8 million) to Kievbetween 2022 and 2023, according to the German Kiel Institute for the World Economy.

“In Brussels,I will raise the issue of compensation for military equipment donated to Ukraine,” Fico said on Sunday, referring to the upcoming EU summit next week.

Under the deal struck by Heger’s government, the donated equipment was to be replaced by Western-made hardware, delivered by Germany in particular. The Slovak Defense Ministry argued at the time that theagreement was insufficient as Berlin pledged to replace only around half of the equipment sent to Ukraine.

Fico has long opposed Brussels’ stance toward Moscow, including military aid provided to Kiev and sanctions on Russia. He was the only EU leader to attend this year’s Victory Day commemorations in Moscow, where he warned against a “new Iron Curtain” and called for renewed dialogue.

He has also repeatedly argued that the bloc’s policies and refusal to engage in meaningful dialogue with Moscow were hurting the EU itself, forcing member states to cope with high energy prices after Russian oil and gas imports were blocked under sanctions.

On Sunday, he described his recent talks with European CouncilPresident Antonio Costa as “frustrating,” adding that the EU is determined to “wage a war” against Russia “to the last Ukrainian soldier and to the last euro” despite the bloc’s “declining competitiveness” and “extremely high energy prices.”

Russia has said it has “never refused dialogue,” accusing Ukraine’s Western backers of pursuing a “destructive policy”aimed at pushing Kiev to keep fighting and undermining any peace efforts.

(The more EU countries understand Zelensky and Ukraine are Nazi supporters, and the stole and wasted the money for war, the more they will reconsider how bad they were duped and are still being duped. It seems the end for Zelensky and his lies exposed, Ukraine won’t be welcome in the EU.)
