US attorney in California suspects voter fraud investigation will result in charges

Essayli said his team and Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division Harmeet Dhillon have been trying to audit the state for over a year under the National Voter Registration Act, the Help America Vote Act and the Civil Rights Act.

First Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California Bill Essayli warned recently that a federal investigation into allegations of voter fraud in the state could yield criminal charges.

Essayli announced Saturday that his office was partnering with the FBI on multiple election fraud investigations and accused California of denying federal prosecutors access to voter registration records.

The federal prosecutor said his team and Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division Harmeet Dhillon have been trying to audit the state for over a year under the National Voter Registration Act, the Help America Vote Act and the Civil Rights Act.

“I expect people will be charged," Essayli said in a Monday appearance on “The Glenn Beck Program.” "But we need a wide-scale audit of the California voter roll, which is what Harmeet and I have been trying to do for the last year."

The comment comes amid questions of fraud in the state's most recent primary where more than 4.2 million mail-in ballots have been returned and accepted by the state. In California, mail-in ballots are counted as long as they are either dropped off in person by 8 p.m. on Election Day, or postmarked by Election Day and received by county election offices by the following Tuesday.

Essayli admitted that successful prosecution of widespread election fraud would face significant hurdles because thousands of voters would need to be charged to prove that the misconduct changes the outcome of the California election.

“California is a fraudster’s paradise, make no mistake about that, whether it’s hospice fraud, health care fraud or election fraud,” Essayli told Beck.

The attorney did not provide evidence of voter fraud in the state or recent election.

Former Trump economist says Iran deal means big economic boom for US

Stephen Moore, former White House economic advisor for Trump, says the U.S. is on the cusp of a powerful economic surge.

President Trump's attendance at the G7 summit in France has sparked discussions about what the Iran peace deal could mean for the U.S. economy in the coming weeks.

The summit is an annual meeting among seven nations — Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States, along with the European Union — to coordinate global economic and security policies. The meeting comes a day after Trump announced a peace deal between Iran and the U.S. to formally end the war.

Stephen Moore, a former White House economic advisor for Trump and author of “The Trump Economic Miracle," says the U.S. is on the cusp of a powerful economic surge.

“This is a pro-business president,” he told Just the News on Monday, noting that people are leaving European countries because of their less-than-ideal economic policies. He specifically cited Germany, which is edging towards a recession.

“People are angry when they go to the grocery store, the gas pump … health care is expensive,” Moore said. However, he believes the U.S. is trending towards becoming an “Elon Musk rocket ship” — a reference to SpaceX shares rising over 20% on June 12, which pushed Musk to become the world’s first trillionaire.

“I love capitalism, and Trump does too,” Moore said. He also mentioned that in the top 20 of Forbes’ world’s billionaires list, 15 are American, adding, “what America is doing is working.”

Within the U.S., he compared the economic status of left-wing versus right-wing cities, noting that for the first time in American history, the South is the dominant economic region. Moore believes this is because millionaires and billionaires in states like New York and California are fleeing due to increased taxes on wealth. Less regulation in the South has led to its economic success.

He also thinks the economy will balance out, predicting wages and income will increase while inflation decreases.

Biden DOJ targeted parents at school board meetings despite FBI, sheriffs' objections, memos show

AFL said it acquired the documents as part of its ongoing lawsuit related to former Attorney General Merrick Garland’s October 4, 2021 memorandum that targeted concerned parents at school board meetings during the COVID pandemic.

Former President Joe Biden’s Justice Department used federal law enforcement to target parents at school board meetings as potential threats "despite warnings from FBI officials and the National Sheriffs’ Association," according to America First Legal's analysis of new government documents it obtained.

AFL, a conservative legal nonprofit, said it acquired the documents as part of its ongoing lawsuit related to former Attorney General Merrick Garland’s October 4, 2021 memorandum that targeted concerned parents at school board meetings during the COVID pandemic.

"On October 4, 2021 — the day the memo was released — FBI Deputy Assistant Director Jay Greenberg emailed the Office of the Deputy Attorney General, stating the FBI had 'some concern.' He requested “additional time to engage” before messaging about the infamous memo went out," AFL wrote on X, linking to the DOJ documents it obtained.

Greenberg also asked for help “to find common ground we can all support” on the situation.

Some inside DOJ also fretted the strategy would boomerang, and create a political headache for elections,

"I don't think it's possible to state how strongly I object to this. It will completely and totally nuke our election threats efforts, and will damage the reputation of the Public Integrity Section into the bargain," one top DOJ official wrote in an email. "It's like they've affirmatively trying to make this thing not work and look political."

"If they do this, they might as well rename the damn thing the Anti-MAGA Task Force," an official wrote.

The National Sheriffs’ Association also shared concerns like those of the FBI, the memos show.

"On October 8, 2021, the National Sheriffs’ Association reached out to officials in the Associate Deputy Attorney General’s Office, stating that its sheriffs had 'not heard any concerns about threats to local school boards' and that 'it would have been nice to have a heads-up,'" the group wrote on X, referencing the internal emails it obtained.

Despite the concerns raised, Garland’s memo was issued on October 4, 2021.

“Threats against public servants are not only illegal, they run counter to our nation’s core values,” wrote Attorney General Garland. “Those who dedicate their time and energy to ensuring that our children receive a proper education in a safe environment deserve to be able to do their work without fear for their safety.”

The FBI enforced the memo, AFL noted, establishing a new threat tag, “EDUOFFICIALS.”

FBI stopped alleged terror plot to attack UFC 250 event with drones and snipers, officials said

“Planned attacks were stopped cold," FBI director Kash Patel said.

The FBI stopped a terror plot involving as many as two dozen perpetrators to attack Sunday’s UFC 250 fight at the White House with explosive-laden drones and snipers, officials told Just the News on Tuesday.

At least five people have been arrested, and agents are working to identify as many as 18 others who appeared to be involved in the planning on encrypted chats communicating with the alleged plotters, officials said.

FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed the arrests, first reported by Fox News, in a statement obtained by Just the News.

“On June 10, FBI and our law enforcement partners became aware of a potential threat to the UFC America 250 event in Washington, D.C. involving individuals outside of the National Capital Region – and thanks to the rapid action of this FBI, our partners, and the Department of Justice in a multi-state operation, multiple individuals are now in custody and allegedly planned attacks were stopped cold,” Patel said.

"While the result represented the best of investigative work, it was also nothing out of the ordinary for this law enforcement team – we are built to detect, respond to, and bring to justice those who threaten the lives of American citizens - particularly during large gatherings like the historic UFC 250 fight," he added.

A dozen FBI offices around the country were involved in the investigation, and one of the first arrests occurred in Cincinnati, officials said.

Officials said they believed the goal of the plot was to attack the site of the fight on the White House South Lawn with one or more explosive-laden drones, causing panicked fans to flee into areas where snipers would then shoot them.

Officials said more details would likely emerge when indictments are filed in court against some of the perpetrators in the coming days.

>The SPLC has been indicted

Happened in April…

Federal Grand Jury Charges Southern Poverty Law Center for Wire Fraud, False Statements, and Conspiracy to Commit Money Laundering

Tuesday, April 21, 2026

Between 2014 and 2023, the SPLC secretly funneled more than $3 million in donated funds to individuals who were associated with various violent extremist groups including the Ku Klux Klan, Aryan Nations, and National Socialist Party of America

A Grand Jury in Montgomery, Alabama, today returned an indictment charging the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) with 11 counts of wire fraud, false statements to a federally insured bank, and conspiracy to commit concealment money laundering. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Alabama Northern Division filed two forfeiture actions to recover alleged proceeds of the organization’s fraud scheme. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) investigated this case with assistance from the Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation (IRS-CI).

“The SPLC is manufacturing racism to justify its existence,” said Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche. “Using donor money to allegedly profit off Klansmen cannot go unchecked. This Department of Justice will hold the SPLC and every other fraudulent organization operating with the same deceptive playbook accountable. No entity is above the law.”

“The SPLC allegedly engaged in a massive fraud operation to deceive their donors, enrich themselves, and hide their deceptive operations from the public," said FBI Director Kash Patel. "They lied to their donors, vowing to dismantle violent extremist groups, and actually turned around and paid the leaders of these very extremist groups - even utilizing the funds to have these groups facilitate the commission of state and federal crimes. That is illegal – and this is an ongoing investigation against all individuals involved.”

The SPLC is a non-profit organization headquartered in Montgomery, Alabama, whose mission, according to its website during the relevant time period, was to be a “catalyst for racial justice in the South and beyond, working in partnership with communities to dismantle white supremacy, strengthen intersectional movements, and advance the human rights of all people.”

According to the indictment starting in the 1980s, the SPLC began operating a covert network of individuals who were either associated with violent and extremist groups, such as the Ku Klux Klan, or who had infiltrated violent extremist groups at the SPLC’s direction. Unbeknownst to donors, some of their donated money was being used to fund the leaders and organizers of racist groups at the same time that the SPLC was denouncing the same groups on its website.

“Donors gave their money believing they were supporting the fight against violent extremism,” said Acting United States Attorney Kevin Davidson. “As alleged, the SPLC instead diverted a portion of those funds to benefit individuals and groups they claimed to oppose. That kind of deception undermines public trust and social cohesion.”

Between 2014 and 2023, the SPLC secretly funneled more than $3 million in donated funds to individuals who were associated with various violent extremist groups including:

Ku Klux Klan

United Klans of America

Unite the Right

National Alliance

National Socialist Movement

Aryan Nations affiliated Sadistic Souls Motorcycle Club

National Socialist Party of America (American Nazi Party)

American Front

According to the indictment, the objective of the scheme and artifice was to obtain money via donations through materially false representations and omissions about what the donated funds would be used for.

In order to covertly pay the individuals, the SPLC opened bank accounts connected to a series of fictitious entities. The covert nature of the accounts allowed the SPLC to disguise the true nature, source, ownership, and control of the fraudulently obtained donated money the SPLC paid the individuals. In order to keep the scheme going, the SPLC made a series of false statements related to the operation of the accounts.

A conviction will result in the forfeiture of financial gains from the alleged illegal activities.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and FBI Director Kash Patel made the announcement in Washington.

The details contained in the civil forfeiture complaint are allegations only.
