Reconsider my suggestion about bullet proof glass two feet inside the WH gate and how that will thwart line of sight attacks, and protect occupants on the WH. In such a case as this, snipers would have little affect, unless the got into a gov building and were above ground level. You could technically make the BP glass panels deployable from underground for an added expense if you are worried about esthetics; for special events.
