At the bat, at the Eagles club, at the VFW, at the golf course I keep hearing the phrase "that man has just given up"

If someone has given up, they are no longer a man. They are lower than even a sheep. Even rats and mice have ambition. KYS and go to God. Might not help, but you will be in less pain either way.
