President Karol Nawrocki: I have decided to revoke the Order of the White Eagle from the President of Ukraine

Historical truth is not, and can never be, a bargaining chip. Remembering the victims is a moral obligation of the Polish state.

Facts are not subject to negotiation; they do not change with political circumstances or necessities. The facts are that at least 100,000 Polish citizens were murdered by the UPA in Volhynia, Eastern Galicia, the Lublin region, and the Subcarpathian region, solely because they were Poles, Jews, or members of other minorities. It is a fact that the victims were residents of villages and small towns – entire families, women, children, and the elderly.

The Order of the White Eagle is not just an ordinary award. It is a symbol of the Republic of Poland’s highest trust. It signifies a special bond with the Polish state and the nation’s profound gratitude. Such a symbol requires not only merit but also respect for the values that form the foundation of our community.

Therefore, in light of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s consent to name one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Heroes of the UPA,” and after consulting with the Chapter, I have decided to revoke the Order of the White Eagle from the President of Ukraine.

Poland will not consent to the glorification of those who murdered defenseless Polish civilians.

One of the newly released records is a heavily redacted FBI electronic communication dated July 17, 2024, summarizing interviews with five deputies from the Butler County Sheriff's Office.

According to the document, one deputy told investigators she had exchanged two emails with Crooks before the shooting. The nature of the communications was redacted.

Former N.H. state representative, Tyngsborough daycare worker plead guilty to child exploitation

The two defendants pleaded guilty after they exchanged nude photos of children that one of them had taken at the day care.

Groves worked at Creative Minds Early Learning Center in Tyngsborough, and between May 2022 and June 2023, she took nude images of children at the day care and sent them to Laughton, with whom she was previously in an “intimate relationship,” prosecutors said. During the children’s bathroom breaks and diaper changes, Groves took the photos in a private bathroom and sent them to Laughton.

A forensic review of Groves’ and Laughton’s cell phones revealed more than 10,000 text messages between them across “an approximate one-month period in 2023,” according to the U.S. Attorney’s office. At least four of the photos were of children who appeared to be between three and five years old.
