Russia hails Poland’s move against ‘Nazi-worshipping’ Zelensky

Warsaw is finally confronting Kiev’s honoring of nationalists implicated in wartime massacres, officials in Moscow have said

Russian officials have welcomed Warsaw’s decision to strip Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky of the Order of the White Eagle, Poland’s highest state honor. The decision came after Kiev named a military unit after the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), a nationalist force implicated in massacres of Poles and Jews during World War II.

Polish President Karol Nawrocki announced the move on Friday, saying Kiev had crossed a red line. He argued that “historical truth is not and can never be a bargaining chip” and that remembering the victims was “the moral duty of the Polish state.”

Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council and former president, wrote on X on Friday that“Poland’s president has finally stripped the Nazi-worshipping Kiev degenerate of the Order of the White Eagle.” The decision would not trouble Zelensky, Medvedev presumed, as there was now “more room on his green sweatshirt” for Nazi-era decorations.

Russian Senator Andrey Klishas said the Polish president had “suddenly discovered”that the leader of the neighboring country was “engaged in glorifying Nazi criminals.”

“Bravo, there is only one step left before Poland demands the denazification of Ukraine,” Klishas wrote on Telegram.

Moscow has long argued that nationalist movements and historical figures honored in Ukraine are linked to Nazi collaboration during World War IIand hascited the country’s “denazification” as one of its stated objectivessince the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in 2022. (This was the whole reason Russia invaded.)

Kiev condemned the decision.Ukrainian Foreign MinisterAndrey Sibiga wrote on Facebook thatstripping Zelensky of the award was “a strategic mistake… from which only Moscow stands to gain.” He also announced that he would return a Polish state award he received in October 2022.

Nawrocki’s decision followed Zelensky’s decreegranting a Ukrainian military unit the honorary title “Heroes of the UPA.” The UPA was the armed wing of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN),which Poland holds responsiblefor the mass killing of Polish civilians during World War II, including the Volhynia massacres.

Poland officially recognizes the actions of the OUN and UPA as genocide, saying at least 100,000 Polish citizens were killed during World War II. Warsaw has repeatedly criticized Kiev’s honoring of the UPA and other nationalist figures associated with it,an issue that has strained relations despite Poland’s support for Ukraine.

(That’s how much Zelensky and Ukraine leaders are “ingrates” to Poland and many EU countries the gave contributions to Ukraine to this war.I’d be surprised if other EU countries are now seeing how they’ve been used by a Ukraine where the leaders align with Nazis. If the EU continues to back Ukraine, good luck to them.)

JD Vance plans to go to Switzerland "in the next couple of days," he says

Vice President JD Vance, whose travel to Switzerland had been put on hold, told Fox News on Saturday he will now travel to the negotiations as soon as "the principals" are in place.

"We'll plan the talks when the principals from the Iranian government, also the Qatari and the Pakistani government, arrive.That may happen as soon as tomorrow, but these things are always a little bit in flux," he told "Fox and Friends." "Jared [Kushner] and Steve [Witkoff] have been on the ground now for a few hours dealing with some of the technical elements of this negotiation."

The vice president said he could then travel to Switzerland himself "sometime in the next couple of days."

"They want to do a delicate dance, the Qataris, and the Pakistanis want to make sure that we do this in the right way," Vance told Fox News. "So I'm trying to be respectful — given my position of the last year and a half. I have to care about diplomatic protocols all of a sudden."

Vance said he sees no evidence of the Strait of Hormuz being closed, though Iran publicly announced the strait was being closed again just after the interview took place.

"One of the things the president has set us out to do as a high priority is to open the straits. That's now happened," Vance said, just before Iran's announcement. "We actually got 16 million barrels of oil out of the Straits of Hormuz yesterday. That is a record going back to even before the conflict started. So, you're seeing those ships move."

The Trump Environmental Protection Agency’s repeal of the Endangerment Finding – which asserted carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases threaten public health and welfare – is one of the most consequential actions of President Trump’s second term. Now, however, Department of Justice bureaucrats are sabotaging the legal basis for the repeal.

The root of the Endangerment Finding was a flawed 2007 Supreme Court decision, for which the Supreme Court has since repudiated the underlying logic. In the 2007 decision, Massachusetts v. EPA, a 5-to-4 decision of the Supreme Court held that carbon dioxide fits the Clean Air Act’s definition of a “pollutant” that EPA can or must regulate. The Supreme Court made such a finding even though carbon dioxide is not listed among the Clean Air Act’s many designated pollutants. The Supreme Court then directed EPA to determine whether greenhouse gas emissions threaten public health and welfare, which would require EPA regulation. The Bush administration punted such a determination to the subsequent Obama administration, which predictably held carbon dioxide threatens public health and welfare.

The 2007 Supreme Court was operating under the since-repudiated assumption that federal agencies have nearly boundless discretion to regulate people’s lives unless Congress specifically forbids such regulation. Since then, in the 2022 case West Virginia v. EPA, the Supreme Court has clarified that federal agencies must identify clear congressional authorization to make a major policy doctrine. Regulating carbon dioxide is clearly a major policy doctrine and Congress has never – in the Clean Air Act or anywhere else – explicitly authorized EPA to regulate it.

The Trump EPA under Administrator Lee Zeldin revisited the Obama EPA Endangerment Finding and found many flaws. As an initial matter,carbon dioxide is not listed as – and does not fit – the Clean Air Act’s definition of “pollutant” that is required for EPA regulation. Also, carbon dioxide does not threaten public health and welfare. Additionally, regulating carbon dioxide is ineffectual considering American businesses and individuals are responsible for only a small fraction of global carbon dioxide emissions.

Most importantly, EPA has properly determined that restricting carbon dioxide emissions is a congressional issue rather than an agency issue. Congress has many times considered legislation that would cap, tax, or restrict carbon dioxide emissionsand has rejected such legislation every time. EPA points out that any such future restrictions are the purview of Congress, not EPA.

Now, however, the Justice Department is undermining EPA’s repeal of the Endangerment Finding.

In Suncor Energy Inc. v. County Commissioners of Boulder County, the city and county of Boulder, Colorado, sued energy companies in civil court. Boulder asserted it is owed damages by energy companies for asserted global warming harms caused by the energy companies’ products. The question currently before the Supreme Court is whether plaintiffs may sue energy companies in state civil court and recover asserted damages regarding an issue – climate change – that is governed by federal law and federal policy.

Addressing the Suncor case, the Justice Department has filed briefs asserting Boulder has no right to pursue its lawsuit because EPA has the primary authority to regulate carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases.This is flat-out wrong. Congress, not EPA, has the primary authority to regulate greenhouse gases.

If DOJ continues to make such erroneous assertions, this will sabotage the Endangerment Finding repeal.

DOJ can and should argue against Boulder’s Suncor suit.However, DOJ can argue against it by pointing out that federal law and policy govern greenhouse gases through the power of Congress rather than EPA.

Department of Justice lawyers are career bureaucrats – skilled bureaucrats, but bureaucrats nonetheless. It is no secret that the federal bureaucracy is dominated by anti-Trump sentiment and activists.

It is possible that theDepartment of Justice lawyers overseeing the Suncor case are so siloed into this specific case that they are not thinking about the larger implications of their argument that EPA has primary authority to regulate carbon dioxide. It is also quite possible that the career lawyers within DOJ are intentionally presenting such an argument to the Supreme Court in Suncor with the purpose of derailing the Trump EPA’s Endangerment Finding repeal.

Regardless of whether nefarious motives are at play,President Trump, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin and Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche must take swift action to ensure DOJ lawyers are making the proper legal arguments in Suncor so as not to sabotage the Endangerment Finding repeal.

DHS: ‘Record High’ Deportations Under Trump Administration

Deportations are at a record high, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which is warning illegal aliens to self-deport or risk being arrested.

“DEPORTATION FLIGHTS AT A RECORD HIGH,” DHS wrote in a post on X, replying to a post inwhich the Washington Examiner shared that nearly 900,000 illegal aliens have been deported since the start of the Trump administration in January 2025.

DHS added that the American people gave the Trump administration a “mandate to arrest and remove criminal illegal aliens,” adding that under President Donald Trump and DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin, the agency would “continue to deliver.”

Data from Human Rights First organization revealed that in May, the Trump administration carried out roughly 296 flights removing illegal migrants from the country, the Washington Examiner reported. This represented a “more than double” increase from the 126 flights removing illegal aliens “during Trump’s first full month in office.”

“Our message is clear: LEAVE NOW or we will find you, arrest you, and deport you,”DHS added in the post.

Breitbart News’s John Binder reported at the beginning of June that Acting ICE Director David Venturella confirmed that since Trump took office on January 20, 2025, DHS “has removed over 900,000 aliens” from the nation.

“ICE has been exploring every possible avenue to increase the number of deportations, and we continue to remove more criminals every single day,”

Venturella said in a statement to Breitbart News at the time.

“During the second week of May, some of the most egregious aliens we deported include murderers and people who have been convicted of sexually assaulting children— and we won’t stop executing President Trump’s mandate to make America safe again.”

Wisconsin Seventh Congressional District candidateMichael Alfonso said on Breitbart News Saturday that voters want Congress to act and help make President Donald Trump’s agenda longer lasting.

Alfonso, who has President Trump’s endorsement andis the son-in-law of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, told Breitbart News Washington Bureau Chief MattBoyle that it is “pretty humbling” to have Trump’s support and that “every day” he is “going to be working to make sure I live up to that endorsement.”

Trump stated in May, “Michael Alfonso has been a winner all of his life,” adding that he “comes from a truly spectacular family” and has his “complete and total endorsement” to represent Wisconsin’s Seventh Congressional District.

Asked what he is hearing from voters while campaigning with his wife, Evita,Alfonso said people in the district “want to see action” and are frustrated that “Congress is not giving President Trump the backup that he needs.”

Alfonso said Trump is “doing an amazing job” through executive orders and by “closing our border,”but added that voters are concerned that “in three years, when Trump is no longer the president,” some of that progress could be lost “at the stroke of a pen.”

“We still don’t have the Save Act in law,”Alfonso said, describing that and similar priorities as “things that I’m going to be working very hard to get through.”

Boyle also asked Alfonso about Trump’s reported negotiations involving Iran, the Strait of Hormuz, and Iran’s nuclear program, noting that the issue has drawn both criticism and support.Alfonso said he is “fully behind it.”

“President Trump ran on being the president of peace, no more forever wars,” Alfonso said. “He got in, and we’re going to be getting out.”

Alfonso contendedthat “only President Trump could denuclearize Iran in this short time,” while also keeping the country “on track” for “lower gas prices,” calling Trump’s handling of the matter “a masterclass of negotiation.”

“He is the negotiator,” Alfonso said of Trump, adding that “Anyone that really doubted him doesn’t know President Trump.”

Discussing the Iran arrangement further, Alfonsodescribed it as “the beauty of this peace deal,” while adding that “It’s not a true peace deal” but “just a memorandum of understanding.”

Alfonso said the understanding sends a message that “if Iran plays ball and starts actually following some rules, they can be a part of this world economy,” while saying thatthe United States is “better off now than we were under the Biden administration.”

Boyle then turned to Democrats’ campaign messaging around affordability, asking Alfonso about what he described as a pattern of Democrats running on affordability while pursuing left-wing policies after taking office.Alfonso called that message “the great lie of the left wing for my whole lifetime.”

“They keep telling you that they care about the middle class,” Alfonso said,“but their only pitch to the middle class is full-blown Marxism.”

Alfonso pointed to Wisconsin’s fights during former Gov.Scott Walker’s tenure, saying the Walker recall effort marked “the beginning of the Marxist attack” in the state and describing the protests at the time as “just riots to intimidate people.”

He also referenced the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests, saying there was “destruction of property at a scale that we’ve never seen in the United States,” while criticizing CNN for calling unrest “fiery, but mostly peaceful.”

Alfonso warned that Democrats have moved toward “full-blown Marxism,” pointing to Zohran Mamdani and saying Democrats are offering voters policies such as “an asset tax” while claiming such measures would only target “the rich.”

“The choice is simple,” Alfonso said. “Do you want free market American conservative family values or do you want Marxism?”

On the 2026 midterms, Boyle said Republicans may have a chance to “defy history” and hold or expand their congressional majorities, despite the usual pattern of midterm backlash against the president’s party.Alfonso said that while some media figures talk about a “blue wave,” the situation looks different “when you actually get on the ground and talk to people.”

Alfonso, who said he was “in a lineup for a parade” during the interview, saying that voters understand Democrats as “the party of seizing assets, boys in girls’ bathrooms, and defunding the police.”

“This is not a winning message,” Alfonso said, contrasting Democrats with Republicans, whom he described as “the party of free market, family values, and conservatism.”

Alfonso said he believes Republicans are well-positioned going into November, telling Boyle, “I really do think Republicans don’t just have a shot at it,” and adding that he sees the GOP as “the favorite to keep the House.”

Dodgers Pitcher Blake Treinen Says MLB ‘Chastised’ Him for Honoring Charlie Kirk on His Cap

Los Angeles DodgersRelief Pitcher Blake Treinen revealed that Major League Baseball contacted him last season after he displayed the name of conservative activist Charlie Kirk on his cap during a game.

The warning stemmed from a September 2025 game in whichTreinen wrote Charlie Kirk’s name and two crosses on the side of his cap as a tribute following the conservative activist’s death. Speaking with the Los Angeles Timesand later with The California Post, Treinen said league officials reached out to inform him thatMLB rules prohibit players from adding personal messages or statements to their uniforms during games.

“I got chastised by the leaguewhen I put Charlie [Kirk]’s name on my hat last year, because a man was murdered in cold blood,” Treinen told Los Angeles Times.

According to Treinen, the conversation did not result in any formal punishment. However, he saidMLB warned that future violations could lead to financial penalties.

The issue resurfaced after several San Francisco Giants pitchers were reportedly contacted by the league for writing Bible verses on their capsduring the club’s Pride Night event.

“Now these gentlemen who are relievers in San Francisco are getting chastised by the league for putting a Bible verse on their hat.It’s crazy to me,”Treinen said.

MLB said the messages violated uniform regulations but emphasized that the players were not disciplined andthat the warning was unrelated to the religious content of the inscriptions.

“The writing on the cap violates our rules and consistent with normal practice we have warned the players about future violations,” the league said in a statement. MLB later clarified that the warning was routine and not tied to the specific content displayed by the players.

Treinen was in the spotlight during the Dodgers’ Pride Night earlier this monthwhen he chose not to wear a Pride-themed cap while pitching against the Los AngelesAngels on June 5. Instead, he appeared in the standard team-issued uniform.

“My job is to abide by the rules,” Treinen told the Los Angeles Times. “Ultimately, the only rule we have is to wear our team-issued uniform. So that’s what I chose to do.”
