NASA’s Next Generation Telescope Arrives in Florida Ahead of Launch

June 21, 2026 7:28PM

NASA’s Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope arrived June 21, at the agency’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, marking the start of final prelaunch preparations before liftoff later this summer.

After teams completed integration and testing on the observatory at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, they loaded Roman into a protective and environmentally controlled transportation container and drove it to the port of Baltimore.

There, the agency’s Pegasus barge safely transported the nearly 18,000-pound (8,200-kilogram) spacecraft down the coast of the Atlantic Ocean to its new home in Florida at the Payload Hazardous Servicing Facility, which recently completed upgrades to prepare for Roman’s arrival.

Technicians met the telescope at NASA Kennedy’s turn basin wharf and offloaded the trailer carrying the observatory from the barge where they connected it to a truck that transported Roman to the servicing facility.

When the spacecraft arrives at the facility, technicians will complete initial cleaning outside the building before moving the shipping container into the facility’s air lock. Once in the air lock, they will perform additional cleaning to reduce any remaining contaminants from the trip.

The facility’s air filtration system also will scrub the air until the team can safely open the inner door. Once inside, technicians will unbox the spacecraft, raise it to a vertical position in the air lock, and move it into the clean room.

On Monday, June 22, technicians plan to remove the cover from the transport container and move Roman into the high bay. Later technicians will use large cranes to move Roman to its work platform, called the Pantheon.

During the observatory’s time at the processing facility, technicians will perform several tasks, including testing the six solar panels and inspecting Roman’s insulation and thermal blankets to ensure the observatory is fully protected and flight ready.

Specially trained team members will load about 290 gallons of hydrazine fuel into the spacecraft’s tanks.

NASA is targeting launch no earlier than Sunday, Aug. 30, on a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy. This puts Roman eight months ahead of schedule.

After launch, Roman will travel to the second Sun-Earth Lagrange point, or L2. There, it will make observations that give astronomers the chance to study an incredible number of new objects.

Roman’s wide field of view and rapid survey capabilities will reveal billions of galaxies, hundreds of thousands of new exoplanets, hundreds of blackholes, and will provide vast volumes of daily data for astronomers to study.

The observatory also will map how common different kinds of planets are in our galaxy and help answer big questions about the universe, like what’s causing its rapid expansion and what distant worlds and cosmic objects look like in infrared light.

In addition to its main instrument, which features a 300-megapixel camera, Roman will demonstrate technology designed to block starlight to directly image exoplanets and planet-forming disks.

Alongside Roman, the Pegasus barge also carried a weather cover for the Artemis III SLS (Space Launch System) core stage. The cover will protect the stage thermal systems while it sits at Launch Pad 39B in its short stack configuration.

Because schedules aligned, the barge was able to transport NASA’s next flagship astrophysics mission together with the Artemis hardware, maximizing resources to support missions across the agency during the Golden Age of innovation and exploration.

Kennedy Space Center gets ready to launch America 250 party

June 22, 2026

The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex has teased that something big is in the works.

Visitors walk under the overpowering Saturn V, the largest rocket ever flown that took Americans to the moon for the first time.

The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex bus tour also goes past the launch site where NASA sent the historic Artemis II mission around the moon in April.

America’s amazing space history has long united our country, and it’s being celebrated as the Space Coast gets ready for the July 4 holiday and America’s 250th anniversary.

“The NASA logo is red, white and blue … we want to sing that through and through,” Therrin Protze, the visitor complex’s chief operating officer, told Florida Politics in an interview.

“Celebrating the great accomplishments of humankind is probably the most patriotic thing I think you could possibly do — we’re all in.”

The festivities start July 3-5 for the All-American Block Party, which features a live DJ from 12-4 p.m., family-friendly fun like a hula hoop contest, interactive activities at the Space Shuttle Atlantis, and robotics demonstrations.

Throughout July, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will play a “250 Space Dreams” video that highlights America’s legacy of innovation and exploration. The visitor complex will also hand out giveaways.

“Space exploration and iconic destinations like the Kennedy Space Center are part of both Florida’s and America’s story,” said Bryan Griffin, President CEO of VISIT FLORIDA, which recently highlighted the Space Coast in its new documentary series.

Kennedy Space Center’s iconic bus tours are also celebrating a birthday.

To honor the tour’s 60th anniversary in July, the buses will have commemorative bus decals, while Kennedy Space Center will offer themed photo opportunities and sell bus popcorn containers.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is also teasing that a major expansion is in the works.

Protze said a “monster” update is coming when he plans to make an announcement in November at Orlando’s International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Expo.

The expo brings together theme park operators, vendors and the media, and many attractions make news to discuss their latest rides and big projects.

The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is riding on a wave of renewed public sentiment.

The Artemis II shuttle sent the first woman, Black person and Canadian around the moon, drawing 350,000 visitors to the Space Coast on Launch Day this year.

That energy has helped propel Kennedy Space Center’s attendance, said Protze, who doesn’t release specific attendance numbers.

“We’re launching people again on some rockets they’ve never seen before. The excitement is really driving attendance,” he said. “People are getting excited about the space program again.”

Nothing from Artemis II is currently on display at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex right now, although Protze is waiting for NASA to decommission it and then decide where to display the artifacts.

He plans to make a “hard sell” for NASA to choose Kennedy Space Center.

Why AI's energy future depends on power from space

Jun 22, 2026

This article is part of:

Annual Meeting of the New Champions

The rise of artificial intelligence (AI) use is drawing attention to a global energy supply bottleneck, which is affecting all kinds of industries.

New approaches to energy supply aim to harness continuous solar energy from space, which could meet demand with existing infrastructure.

Scaling promising ideas for impact is a key focus of the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting of the New Champions, also known as 'Summer Davos', in China from 23–25 June 2026.

Global electricity demand from data centres will more than double by 2030, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA).

New analysis from United Nations University suggests that if data centre growth continues on its current trajectory, power demand could approach three times the combined annual electricity consumption of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nigeria this decade.

AI is forcing an urgent question onto the global agenda: Where will all the power come from?

Tech executives are blunt about the current energy supply bottleneck. “Power is my problem today,” Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said on a recent podcast.

The scramble for power is already reshaping infrastructure decisions. Market intel firm Cleanview has identified 84 GW of proposed data centre projects that plan to deploy onsite gas-fired generation as developers rush to develop power sources.

When companies are willing to deploy gas turbines just to get access to electricity faster, it becomes clear how valuable new sources of power could be.

But data centres’ need for massive amounts of reliable, always-on power is colliding with slow grid expansion, transmission bottlenecks and the realities of building new infrastructure.

Those same pressures will also come for the rest of the global economy in the years ahead.

The scale of innovation has always depended on the scale of energy. Space now presents a critical new domain for energy access.

Energy infrastructure in space

For decades, space infrastructure has quietly supported life on Earth through communications, navigation, weather forecasting, remote sensing and national security.

Now space is expanding from being an information layer to become an energy layer as well. With mounting pressure on terrestrial infrastructure, new technologies can take advantage of continuous solar energy, one of space's most abundant resources.

Solar panels have become indispensable in space, powering satellites long before they became commonplace on Earth. Now, advances in launch, optics and manufacturing could make it practical for space to power Earth

The emerging orbital energy economy

For most of the commercial space era, the industry's defining challenge was access to orbit.

SpaceX has dramatically lowered the cost of reaching orbit, and now companies are shifting to creating meaningful value for Earth once they're there. AI and energy demand are an urgent driver.

Companies like Starcloud and SpaceX are exploring whether AI workloads should be co-located with the abundant energy in orbit. The appeal is obvious.

Moving compute closer to a virtually continuous energy source could reduce dependence on increasingly constrained power infrastructure and siting environments.

>>24744257

The tradeoff is that energy is only one part of the equation. Latency, thermal management, maintenance and hardware replacement are central problems to solve in the architecture.

Cooling is a good example. Modern AI systems generate enormous amounts of heat and operating those systems in orbit introduces a different set of challenges than operating them on Earth.

Bringing space solar energy back to Earth

Rather than relocating demand, space solar energy expands the supply of available energy on Earth by delivering power from space directly into terrestrial electricity systems.

That creates opportunities to build on infrastructure that already exists. For example, Overview Energy is designing the technology to use utility-scale solar projects as receiving infrastructure.

It collects energy in orbit and transmits it using safe, invisible, near-infrared light optimized for photovoltaic panels, allowing solar assets to generate electricity at any hour.

Energy from orbit then flows into infrastructure that is already connected to the grid rather than requiring entirely new sites. That matters in a world increasingly obsessed with speed to power.

The remaining questions are primarily industrial: how quickly these systems can be manufactured, deployed and scaled at the right price point.

Data centres: The canary in the coal mine

Data centres are receiving most of the attention right now, but economies will continue to need more reliable electricity for other uses.

Advanced manufacturing, industrial electrification, desalination, hydrogen production and future digital infrastructure will all require abundant electricity. And access to power shapes what gets built and where.

The industry has spent the last decade building a huge amount of renewable infrastructure. The largest hyperscalers alone have contracted roughly 30 GW of solar capacity.

Today, those assets generate electricity only when sunlight is available. That’s one of the most compelling parts of delivering energy from space straight to solar projects.

Instead of building an entirely new class of energy asset, you increase the utilization of one that already exists.

A solar project that generates power for more hours of the day produces more energy, creates more value for the grid and improves the economics of infrastructure that has already been built.

Innovating at scale

Every major wave of innovation eventually encounters physical constraints. Energy is the constraint of our era. Meeting that challenge will require expanding access to reliable power in ways that were difficult to imagine even a decade ago.

For decades, space infrastructure has helped move information around the world. In the future it will move energy.

The Forum is spotlighting how innovation moves from breakthrough to scale to impact ahead of 'Summer Davos' in China, 23–25 June 2026. Follow the latest.

Launch monster: SpaceX has lofted more satellites than everyone else in history, combined

June 22, 2026

And the gap will only widen from here.

SpaceX just notched a remarkable launch-dominance milestone.

Elon Musk's company has now lofted more spacecraft than the rest of humanity combined — and its lead is likely to grow over the coming months and years.

Investor and former space-industry executive Christian Keil highlighted the achievement in a June 12 X post, which noted that SpaceX had launched 15,262 satellites as of that date.

The combined total for all other companies and organizations since the dawn of the space age in 1957 was 15,138, according to Keil.

Musk founded SpaceX in 2002. The company was not an instant success; its first three launches, with the homegrown Falcon 1 rocket, were failures.

SpaceX finally broke through with a Falcon 1 success in 2008. A fourth straight failure probably would have been the end of the company, Musk has said.

SpaceX soon moved on to the Falcon 9 rocket, which debuted in 2010 and remains the company's workhorse; it flew a whopping 165 times in 2025.

Most of those launches — nearly 75% of them, in fact — were devoted to building out Starlink, the broadband megaconstellation SpaceX has assembled in low Earth orbit (LEO).

Unsurprisingly, the vast majority of objects that SpaceX has launched to date are Starlink satellites.

As of June 18, the company has sent 12,318 of the internet spacecraft to LEO, according to astrophysicist and satellite tracker Jonathan McDowell. That number will continue growing far into the future, as Starlink could someday have 40,000 or more satellites.

And SpaceX is dreaming even bigger than that. Musk recently announced that he wants to operate a million data centers in space, as part of SpaceX's transition from a pure launch concern to a company focused heavily on artificial intelligence.

These spacecraft will be lofted by SpaceX's Starship megarocket, which is still in the test flight phase. Starship is the biggest and most powerful rocket ever built, and it's designed to be fully and rapidly reusable.

SpaceX has teased a future that features thousands of Starship flights every year as the company helps humanity settle the moon and Mars, among other ambitious tasks. So, it's safe to say that SpaceX doesn't plan to relinquish its launch lead anytime soon.

Kiev launches drone barrage at Moscow on Nazi invasion anniversary

22 Jun, 2026 07:11 | Updated 22 Jun, 2026 12:07

More than 80 UAVs were intercepted on approach to the Russian capital, the mayor has said

A total of 84 Ukrainian drones were intercepted in 24 hours while flying toward Moscow, local officials say.

The broader Ukrainian overnight wave included over 300 aircraft targeting Russia. The barrage comes as the nation marks the anniversary of Nazi Germany’s invasion of the Soviet Union.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported no casualties or damage on the ground during the raid, which took place from Sunday night into Monday morning.

Several airports serving the Russian capital temporarily halted operations in response to the Ukrainian drone threat.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said air defenses destroyed or intercepted 301 Ukrainian long-range drones over an 11-hour period.

The attack coincided with the date when Russia commemorates the Nazi assault on the USSR on June 22, 1941. The invasion began the bloodiest conflict in the country’s history and ultimately cost the Soviet Union more than 27 million lives.

Modern Ukraine glorifies nationalist figures and movements that collaborated with Nazi Germany during World War II.

Among others, tributes have been paid to the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, or UPA, whose members took part in mass killings of Poles, Jews, and Russians during the conflict.

Last week, Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky was stripped of Poland’s highest merit, the Order of the White Eagle, after Warsaw objected to his decision to name an elite commando unit after “the heroes of UPA.”

Previously Warsaw tended to overlook the Ukrainian framing of the historic atrocities to prioritize current military support against Russia.

Kiev has continued to launch EU-funded kamikaze drones against Russian energy infrastructure.

Last Thursday, a barrage involving almost 200 UAVs targeting Moscow resulted in damage to a refinery in the city’s southeastern Kapotnya district and left at least 17 people injured in the surrounding Moscow Region.

Ukraine Hits Dubna Space Communications Center, Russia’s Largest Satellite Teleport

Updated Jun 22, 2026 14:02

Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck the Dubna Space Communications Center in Russia’s Moscow region on June 21 and overnight into June 22, Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed on June 22.

According to the General Staff report, heavy smoke was observed at the facility after the strike. The full scale of damage is still being assessed.

The Dubna Satellite Communications Center is considered Russia’s largest satellite teleport—a major ground hub that connects satellites with terrestrial communication networks.

It is a key branch of the Russian Satellite Communications Company and plays an important role in managing satellite links across Russia and abroad.

The facility was established in 1980 by order of the Soviet communications ministry ahead of the Moscow Summer Olympics. Its original mission was to broadcast live television coverage of the games to Europe and across the Atlantic.

After the Olympics, Dubna gained another strategic role during the Cold War, hosting secure government communication channels connecting the Kremlin with Washington, Paris, and London.

The center initially relied on two large antennas: a 12-meter Soviet TNA-57 dish and a 32-meter Japanese NEC MARK-4 antenna designed to work with the international Intelsat network.

Over time, Dubna grew into a major satellite control and broadcast hub. Today, it operates more than two dozen antennas of different sizes, from smaller two-meter dishes to the original 32-meter antenna.

The center is used for telemetry, tracking, and command operations for a large part of Russia’s civilian satellite fleet, including Express-series geostationary satellites.

In addition, the Dubna Satellite Communications Center serves significant military and state security functions because it operates as a dual-use facility.

While its official operator, the Russian Satellite Communications Company, is designated as a civilian and commercial entity, its infrastructure is tightly integrated into Russia’s national defense and strategic intelligence frameworks.

Beyond satellite control, Dubna serves as a major distribution point for Russian state and commercial television broadcasts across multiple time zones.

Despite its large physical footprint, the center is highly automated and reportedly requires only a small on-site team to operate during a standard shift.

Earlier, rocket-powered drones struck the Russian Aerospace Forces’ 40th Command and Measurement Complex, also known as the Center for Deep Space Communications, overnight on September 10 in the village of Vitino, temporarily occupied Crimea.

US-Morocco alliance deepens with drone, AI- document

June 22, 2026

North Africa PostComments Offon US-Morocco alliance deepens with drone, AI- document

The United States and Morocco are preparing a significant expansion of their military partnership under a new 2026–2036 roadmap that emphasizes drone warfare, artificial intelligence and deeper operational integration, according to details from a U.S. planning document cited by Moroccan media.

The plan envisages a shift toward “all-domain” operations, with Morocco set to host a regional drone center of excellence designed to coordinate air, land, sea, cyber and space operations, including drone swarm tactics and counter‑drone systems, the document seen by credible Moroccan media, including Medias24, said.

It also outlines the possible establishment of “cooperative security locations”- light U.S. military sites enabling rapid deployment- and the modernization of Moroccan forces through expanded access to US systems and infrastructure upgrades.

A central element of the roadmap is enhanced interoperability, including integration into advanced data‑sharing systems such as Link‑16, allowing real‑time exchange of battlefield information between Moroccan and U.S. platforms.

The roadmap reflects a broader effort to move from traditional cooperation toward integrated planning and joint execution of operations, particularly in strategic zones such as the Strait of Gibraltar and the Sahel.

The expanding partnership is anchored by African Lion, the largest U.S.-led military exercise in Africa, co‑organized with the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces since 2004.

The drills involve thousands of troops from more than 40 countries and cover land, air, maritime and cyber operations.

US officials routinely describe the exercise as a key platform for interoperability and readiness.

Senior US defense officials have also highlighted Morocco’s central role. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth described the kingdom as America’s “top African military partner”, noting its role as host of the continent’s largest multinational exercise.

FAA Clarifies World Cup Drone Restrictions, Creates Path for Authorized Flights

June 22, 2026

Commercial Drone Alliance says Part 107 and Part 135 operators now have a path to request approval

The FAA is updating FIFA World Cup 2026 Temporary Flight Restriction NOTAMs to clarify that some drone operations may be allowed inside restricted airspace with authorization from the Department of Homeland Security, according to an update shared by the Commercial Drone Alliance.

The change follows industry concerns about the broad impact of the World Cup TFRs on legitimate commercial drone operations near host cities, stadiums, fan events, team hotels, training sites, and other protected locations.

“Following engagement between CDA, FAA, and DHS regarding the recently issued FIFA Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs), FAA is updating the associated NOTAMs to clarify that certain UAS operations may be permitted within the defined security airspace with DHS authorization,” CDA said in a LinkedIn post.

The FAA originally announced on May 28 that it would establish “No Drone Zones” over World Cup stadiums, fan events, base camps, and other locations.

The agency said the restrictions were designed to protect participants and spectators, and warned that unauthorized drone operations could lead to enforcement action.

The CDA update does not remove the restrictions. Instead, it points to a process for authorized operations.

According to CDA, Part 107 and Part 135 operators seeking approval should contact drones@dhs.gov and provide the Flight Restricted Zone they intend to operate in, the city or area where the FRZ is located, and a point of contact available during operations.

“This is a positive step that helps maintain security while allowing legitimate, authorized drone operations to continue,” CDA said.

For commercial operators, the update is important because World Cup restrictions may affect routine work in host cities, including infrastructure inspection, media production, public safety support, mapping, and other approved drone operations.

Operators should still check current NOTAMs before flight, confirm whether their planned operation falls within a restricted area, and obtain any required authorization before operating.

CDA credited FAA and DHS for responding to industry concerns and “providing a path forward for operators impacted by these restrictions.”

Russian astronomer reports possible UFO sighting in Omsk region

22 June 2026 20:01

An astronomer in Russia’s Omsk region has reported observing an unidentified flying object during night-sky observations near a rural camp, according to a post shared on social media.

Vladimir Krupko, head of the Omsk Planetarium, said he captured photographs of the object while working in the area of the “Agat” camp in the Nizhneomsky District.

He described the object as moving above the camp before shifting position.

“Above the camp, the UFO was constantly circling. As soon as it noticed it was being filmed, it moved slightly further south,” Krupko wrote on his VKontakte page.

Krupko did not offer an explanation for the phenomenon, and no independent verification of the object has been provided.

The observations took place during a scheduled astronomical study session involving the apparent close approach of Venus, the Moon and Jupiter.

Krupko noted that weather conditions initially hampered viewing, with clouds obscuring parts of the sky and preventing clear observation of Jupiter near the horizon.

'We Have Arrived': Official 1:30 AM 'Alien Invasion' Phone Alerts Send Millions Into Midnight Panic

22 June 2026, 1:16 PM BST

Unauthorized alert sparks panic and humour, revealing vulnerabilities in Brazil's emergency systems.

Millions of Brazilians were jolted awake by a sudden 'alien invasion' phone alert at around 1:30am on 19 and 20 June, after emergency systems in cities including Belo Horizonte and Rio de Janeiro broadcast alarming messages claiming extraterrestrials had arrived.

The news came after years of fascination with UFO sightings and speculation about extraterrestrial life, but this incident had a far more immediate and disruptive effect.

Residents of Brazil reported their phones emitting the same shrill tone typically reserved for extreme weather or civil defence warnings, lending an unsettling credibility to what quickly proved to be a hoax.

Alien Invasion Phone Alert Triggers Confusion and Fear

The messages themselves were difficult to ignore. One, sent to users in Belo Horizonte, read: 'Protect yourselves: ALIEN ATTACK, PEOPLE, WE HAVE ARRIVED!'

Delivered through Brazil's official alert system, it appeared indistinguishable from legitimate emergency notifications.

In Rio de Janeiro, recipients received a second, more cryptic message riddled with spelling errors: 'misantropo ADRESS RJ burros dms pprt.' The phrasing, loosely referencing 'misanthropy,' added another layer of confusion rather than clarity.

For a brief moment, the alerts achieved what years of science fiction could not. People paused. Some questioned whether this was a drill gone wrong. Others, half-asleep, simply panicked.

On social media, reactions quickly surfaced as users compared screenshots and tried to make sense of what they had received.

A number of posts mocked the tone and grammar of the messages, with some suggesting that any credible alien civilisation would at least manage proper spelling.

Others admitted the timing made the experience 'genuinely unsettling,' particularly given the authoritative format of the alert.

Hackers Behind Phone Alert, Officials Say

Brazil's National Civil Protection agency later confirmed the incident was not an extraterrestrial event but the result of an 'unauthorised third party' accessing the emergency alert system. The alerts were not sanctioned, and no real-world threat was present.

Authorities responded by disabling parts of the system to prevent further misuse. The case has since been handed to Brazil's Federal Police, who are now investigating how the breach occurred and who was responsible.

There are still unanswered questions about how such access was obtained in the first place. Emergency alert systems are designed to be tightly controlled, precisely because of their ability to reach millions instantly.

A breach, even for something as bizarre as a fake alien warning, exposes a more serious vulnerability.

Officials have not publicly identified suspects, and no arrests have been confirmed at the time of writing. Online, the incident has taken on a life of its own.

Memes circulated widely, with users joking about 'aliens choosing Brazil first' or questioning why an advanced species would rely on human mobile networks to announce their arrival.

Some leaned into the absurdity, suggesting people should simply 'block the number' if aliens ever did make contact.

For now, authorities insist there is no ongoing risk to the public and that safeguards are being reviewed. But the episode has left a strange aftertaste. Not quite fear, not quite amusement. Something in between.

Nothing is confirmed yet about the individuals behind the breach, so everything should be taken with a grain of salt as investigations continue.

And as for the idea that aliens might one day announce themselves via smartphone notifications rather than spacecraft, after this week, it does not sound quite as far-fetched as it did before.

👽FIRST SIGNAL RECEIVED: On June 24, ALIEN SHIPS WILL APPEAR IN THE SKY DURING BRAZIL'S MATCH❗❗❗

Last night, millions of Brazilians woke up to an emergency alert on their phones from Defesa Civil. Officially - "hackers."

The word "misantropia" (hatred of humanity).

But while everyone laughs at the "system glitch," the famous psychic Vidente Vó Bahiana went live and said what others are afraid even to think:

"This is the first signal.

Aliens do not communicate with words. They communicate through technology.

They have already taken me aboard their ship.

They are watching and sending a message: this is a warning.

There will be several more signals before June 24.

And on the 24th - during Brazil's match at the World Cup - they will come."

She has described this more than once:

UFOs above the stadium in Miami.

Panic.

Ships taking players and spectators.

One of them - a massive mothership.

They are supposedly "saving" people from something far worse.

And here is the coincidence:

Just days before the start of the tournament - a strange "hacker" signal across the entire country.

A word that translates as hatred of humanity.

Right before the "invasion."

A coincidence?

Or the first step in getting people used to such alerts so they won't panic when ships really appear in the sky?

Vó Bahiana has been warning about this for a long time.

Dreams, visions, personal contact.

Now she says: "It has begun."

Why Brazil?

Why now, during the most watched event on the planet?

Why did the authorities so quickly blame hackers and shut down the system?

Because if they tell the truth - chaos will begin.

They are preparing us.

Slowly.

Through "accidental" alerts.

Through "psychics" who can be mocked.

Through football, watched by billions.

June 24.

Miami.

Brazil - Scotland.

If more "glitches" and strange signals begin appearing in the coming days, you'll know what they are.

They are already here.

And you have already received the first signal.

UFO Movie Creator Claims 'Tall White Aliens' Frequently Visit Orcas Island And One Even Drank In A Pub

22 June 2026, 10:35 AM BST

Brent Friedman recounts alleged 'Nordic alien' sightings on Orcas Island.

Public fascination with UFOs and alleged alien encounters continues to grow, fuelled by striking personal testimonies and local folklore.

One of the latest accounts comes from a UFO and alien movie creator who shared a unforgettable encounter with extraterrestrial beings in Orcas Island. He described the aliens as completely humanoid.

Brent Friedman is the co-creator of the alien-themed movie 'Dark Skies.' He appeared on the 21 June episode of Jesse Michels' YouTube channel and talked about his firsthand experience with an alien.

A Tall, White, Scandinavian-like Alien

Friedman said he once decided to explore his friend's 20-acre wooded property Orcas Island.

While walking through the woods, he crossed a ridge and unexpectedly encountered a man standing about 20 feet away.

The figure appeared strikingly handsome, resembling a Scandinavian male model with long blond hair and distinctive European-style clothing.

What immediately caught Friedman's attention was that the stranger greeted him by name, saying, 'Hello, Brent,' despite having no apparent way of knowing who he was. Even more unsettling was that the man's mouth never appeared to move.

The stranger then instructed him, again without moving his lips, to 'turn around and walk the other way'. Although the figure did not seem threatening, the encounter felt strange enough that Friedman immediately complied.

After walking away for a short distance, he looked back and discovered the man had vanished without a trace.

There Were Eight of Them

Friedman further revealed that his friend told him Orcas Island has a long-standing local reputation involving mysterious tall, blond individuals who allegedly live in a secluded compound on the island.

The compound is said to be heavily gated and visited by a small group of around 'eight' individuals.

'He was further down the hill so I didn't have a chance to like look him in the eye and like, I'm 6'4" so I didn't have a chance to look at him and say, 'Oh, this guy's 7'2"' or whatever,' Friedman recalled.

'But he was well put together, like a specimen, like an absolute specimen. So my friend comes back and I say, 'Okay, I just had a really weird experience.' He goes, 'Oh, with one of those tall white people?'

I'm like 'What do you know about them?' And he goes 'They have a compound on the Orcas Island.'

'He said there's a lot of weird people that have compounds here cause there's weird energy that comes like every couple months, and they come in a black helicopter, unmarked, to a facility that's all gated, and there's about eight of them.

And they come here, and they stay here for a couple days at a time, apparently when this energy is really high, and they get recharged,' he disclosed.

One Alien Once Drank In A Local Pub

Apart from the compound, Friedman said he was also told that there's a local legend about one of these mysterious individuals entering a pub several years earlier. According to the story, the man ordered a drink and began making conversation with patrons.

'There's a story about a number of years ago, one of them came down into one of the pubs and just walked through the door one day, and said, 'I want to have a drink'. And everyone's like, 'Who are you?'

And he's like, 'I live up the way.' And they're like, 'Okay, cool.' And he's like, 'So, what's it like to live here?' And they're like, 'On Orcas?' And he goes, 'No, on Earth,'' Friedman said.

'And everyone's like, 'Okay, dude, what is what is going on here?' And then he had a couple drinks, and people had to like get him outside, and he's like, 'No, it's okay, I'll walk home,'' he continued.

The conversation eventually broadens into a discussion about extraterrestrials and theories surrounding alleged 'Nordic aliens.'

While such claims remain unverified, they continue to attract attention amid heightened interest surrounding UFO and UAPs.

UAP forum will let public hear from lawmakers, whistleblowers on disclosure

Updated: Jun 22, 2026 / 02:06 AM CDT

This Thursday, nearly two dozen lawmakers, former intelligence officials, researchers, and whistleblowers will come together for a first-of-its-kind forum on UAP disclosure and its implications.

The event, called Disclosure Forum 2026, is taking place in Washington, D.C. The theme, “Humanity at the Edge of Discovery,” will guide panels, presentations, and roundtables with congressional lawmakers, as well as discussions on security, defense, and policy.

Featured speakers include U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., U.S. Rep. Eric Burlison, R-Mo., and U.S. Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn.

Disclosure Foundation board members Professor Avi Loeb and Mike Gold will also speak. Both joined NewsNation to discuss this week’s event. “There are few issues that can unite humanity like UAP,” Gold told NewsNation’s Hena Doba on Sunday.

“So, at this forum this week, you’re going to see leading Republicans, leading Democrats coming together to look at this issue that, by the way, has robust bipartisan support among the public …

And the event coming up this week will be a demand for transparency, for accountability and the truth.”

According to a poll conducted by the Disclosure Foundation, 89% of Republicans and 88% of Democrats want more information released about UAP.

UAP a ‘national security issue,’ Gold says

One issue many point to is the potential risks posed by UAP — and whether they should be viewed as emerging threats.

“UAP is not just a science issue, not just humanity — it’s a national security issue,” Gold said. “We must take UAP seriously, and we must get past that stigma, not just for scientific advancement, but also for national security reasons.”

“If we are dealing with drones as being these orbs that were not identified,” Loeb said on “NewsNation Prime” on Sunday, “then we are facing technologies that are not understood by the Pentagon, the intelligence agencies, and we need to figure it out.”

Loeb was recently appointed by the White House to lead the new UAP Science Advisory Council. The team will assist the federal government in determining the nature of UAP.

“That’s why resources need to be allocated to further research on the existing data, but also collecting new data that will be clearer,” he said.

Not every council member is a UAP believer

Not everyone on the advisory council believes in UAP. Loeb said he intentionally included a skeptic to help avoid bias in the group’s research.

“If he starts from a different view than many of us have and, by the end of the process, sides with us,” Loeb said, “that would indicate we accomplished our mission and reached robust conclusions.”

To show there are no hard feelings, Loeb said they even have a wager.

“I have a bet with this skeptic that by 2030 we will figure out the nature of UAP and that they might be extraterrestrial in origin,” he said.

Advisory Council findings to remain unclassified

Some have questioned how much transparency the UAP Advisory Council will provide, given that it works with the Pentagon, a Defense Department entity that has been accused of withholding UAP information for decades. Loeb said the public will have access to the council’s findings.

“All the information that will be processed by the council will be unclassified,” he said. “This council brings together an exceptional group of brilliant people. I know each of them personally, and I can guarantee to you that we’ll do our best to justify the trust that the public gives us.”

One set of data the group is expected to review is within NASA archives. A transcript recently released by the Department of Defense details Apollo 17 astronauts’ accounts of observing UAP during three periods in 1972.

“We need to go through those NASA archives,” Gold said. “I think there’s a treasure trove of data and imagery like this that could not only help unlock the mystery of UAP but provide some incredible scientific advancement as well.”

While the transcript was part of the Pentagon’s third batch of previously unreleased UAP files this year, some critics say it’s not enough. Gold disagrees.

“This is what winning looks like for disclosure, for transparency, and kudos to everyone in Congress who’s making this happen,” he said.
