Brave Iranian women are openly defying the theocratic country’s oppressive hijab law — despite the risks following the regime’s deadly protest crackdown.

After Iran’s security forces killed at least 7,000 protesters in January, according to human rights groups, many women and girls have continued to stand in defiance of the regime by breaking the country’s strict dress code.

Images out of Tehran last week show women of all ages out and about in casual clothes, including one woman sporting an “I Love NY” T-shirt.

Marjorie Taylor Greene and her fiancé, Brian Glenn, recently went to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, to get stem cell treatments aimed at anti-aging and long-term health. The couple, who got engaged in December 2025, underwent the treatments on June 6 at Dream Body Clinic because the U.S. Food and Drug Administration does not approve them.

The 52-year-old U.S. representative, who revealed in November 2025 that she would resign from Congress, informed TMZ that she does not have health insurance. As a result, she prefers to spend the money on preventive care and health treatments she believes will help her. She strongly recommends stem cell therapy and says she believes it should be federally legalised in the United States.

She told the outlet that she has always been mindful of her health, citing her experience as a CrossFit gym owner. She also described stem cell therapy as another form of wellness treatment. However, she has not provided specific details about the treatments or how they are intended to work.

Before undergoing the treatment, Greene spoke out against the current state of American medicine on X, saying, “I’m 52 and enjoying a weekend out on medical tourism for my health. It’s a damn shame that not only do Americans pay absurd amounts for health insurance and healthcare, but we also don’t have access to incredible treatments at home.”

In 2020, a report by the FDA mentioned that it “has authority to regulate regenerative medicine products, including stem cell products and exosome products. There is a lot of misleading information on the internet about these products, including statements about the conditions they can be used to treat.”

It stated that “stem cell products are regulated by the FDA, and, generally, all stem cell products require FDA approval.” As per the report, the only stem cell products approved by the FDA for use in the U.S. are blood-forming stem cells, also known as hematopoietic progenitor cells, derived from umbilical cord blood. These products are approved for treating disorders that affect blood production (the hematopoietic system), but they are not approved for other uses.

The Senate on Tuesday approved a House-passed war powers resolution to limit Trump’s action in Iran in a 50 to 48 vote.

Four Republicans joined the Democrats: Rand Paul (KY), Bill Cassidy (LA), Susan Collins (ME), Lisa Murkowski (AK).

Two Republican Senators – Mitch McConnell and David McCormick missed the vote.

McConnell’s office on Monday said that the Kentucky Senator will not be voting all week after his latest hospitalization.

Democrat Senator John Fetterman voted with the Republicans.

Tuesday’s vote marks the first time the Senate has passed the Iran war powers resolution.

Last month, the Senate advanced the resolution to limit President Trump’s war powers in Iran, marking a breakthrough for Democrats after seven failed attempts.

The House passed the war powers resolution earlier this month in a 215-208 vote.

The Hill reported:

The Senate on Tuesday approved a House-passed resolution directing President Trump to withdraw U.S. armed forces from hostilities against Iran after four GOP senators broke ranks and voted to undercut Trump’s authority as commander-in-chief.

The Senate voted 50 to 48 to approve the resolution, which passed the House 215-208 earlier this month.

The measure came straight to the Senate floor Tuesday for an up-or-down vote on final passage. It does not need Trump’s signature because it is a concurrent resolution.

But it does not have the force of law, even though it’s been approved by both chambers.

It directs Trump under the 1973 War Powers Act to remove U.S. troops from hostilities against Iran except for elements of the armed forces that would be necessary to protect U.S. assets or allies from imminent attack.
