Humor an oldfag for just a moment, friend.

These times have been trying and it has been more useful than I can describe to remember, and return to life BTI (before the internet).

Just leave it. Ignore it, all of it. It gives a voice to many who absolutely do not deserve a public forum.

Take a break. Go investigate your local public library, get a card, and check out a book about something you're interested in. Cook something you used to love, but haven't had for a long time. Get lost in watching some documentaries about topics completely unrelated to politics. Spend time in Bible study and/or prayer if you are of a mind to do so. Even a short time spent out in a park or other green place is good for everyone.

Don't give moments of your life to anything that doesn't deserve to have them.

A break will rest and refresh your mind and spirit.

Have some experience in this area.

That is the bass drum section of your local high school band, rehearsing. They're probably standing near a brick or concrete wall that's making the sound reverberate.

Early August is when high school bands are practicing basically every minute that the cops, neighbors, and local noise ordinances will allow.

At least you couldn't hear one of those goddamn Dr. Beat machines.

Rest in peace, all who perished in plane crashes on Sunday. There were too many accidents, here and abroad, in one day.
